Click to report rating    7/8/23   5     5     5     5   I have never had any company , of any kind, go above and Beyond like every employee at SCAH, truly the best! 6 STARS! RID: 70757
Click to report rating    5/29/20   5     5     5     5   After having a terrible experience at another veterinary clinic, I switched to Spencer creek. Dr. Mills and the vet tech staff were lovely. He explained everything to me throughly and was very good with my nervous dog. They are very organized and efficient, even during this covid 19 pandemic. I am very happy I switched to them! RID: 69269
9/29/17   1     3     2     1   Dr. Stubbs was so inhumane when I put my dog to sleep. First time I had to do it and the experience still gives me nightmares. She had her on a table, no seditative just injected her and she came crashing on the table. I will never forgive her for what she did. And when I sent her a letter explaining my pain, she never responded. Beware of her and this clinic. The other vet was a good vet but she is associated with Dr. Stubbs. RID: 64762
Click to report rating    2/11/17   5     5     5     5   We have five dogs. This vet keeps us up on what needs to be done and provides excellent care. The vets and the staff are beyond excellent. RID: 62630
Click to report rating    3/5/14   5     5     5     5   I have a 10 year relationship with this clinic, and have nothing bad to say. We recently had to put our dog down and they were fantastic. Dr. Whelan was great. We are now bringing our new puppy there, and I really don't have any concerns. RID: 50332
Click to report rating    1/3/14   5     5     5     5   I have been going to spencer creek for years. It started with a budgie. They saw my dog from puppyhood to his unfortunate passing. Both vets and ALL techs are absolutely amazing. Kind, compassionate and caring. It IS more expensive than others but WELL worth the money. Dr. Stubbs came in on her day off to be there when I had to have my boy put down. They booked us as the last appointment so we could have privacy and they allowed me to stay as long as I needed(which was past closing time). They all were SOOO supportive. I have since got a new puppy and I am taking her there!!!! Can't say enough good things. LOVE these people!! RID: 49050
Click to report rating    10/2/13   5     5     5     5   I love all veterinarians at Spencer Creek. You can tell how much they care about each individual animal by treating them as if they were their own. The staff is very friendly and always greet me as soon as I walk in the door. My dog is happy to visit the Dr as well as play in the Daycare - every week! My cats aren't so happy and sometimes put up a fight but their professionalism truly shows when managing an aggressive animal. LOVE THEM. RID: 47335
Click to report rating    8/29/13   1     1     1     1   They treated my dog without permission during daycare and I arrived to a huge bill- they aren't even our vet. RID: 46619
Click to report rating    8/11/13   1     3     2     1   Bad boarding experience!! The staff member was a bad communicator and the place stunk. I left my name and phone number and neither one was utilized. I am never going to board my puppy there again. RID: 46235
Click to report rating    4/30/13   2     5     3     2   The vets will not answer the phone or talk to clients on the phone if they can help it. They get their technicians or assistants cover the phone call when for all i know they could be telling me something that a doctor would not reccomen or refere. When i was there for just an exam it was packed full of people waiting there for their appointment and it was one right after the other and i felt rushed when i had new puppy questions. Also some of the staff members do not dress proffesionally in scrubs one of the staff members wore a scrub top but wore worn out sweat pants with big writing on the behind area. I don't think that is professional when working in a medical feild at all. I go to another clinic now since i was not happy. I know pet care is expensive Im not nieve , But other clinics ask for a lower price for the same procedures and the staff is much nicer the the new clinic i go to. RID: 42176
Click to report rating    3/23/13   5     5     5     5   Dr. Stubbs is amazing. She was phenomenal at handling my gecko, and was very knowledgeable. The clinic was good at working around my schedule, especially with early-morning emergencies. I would highly recommend this clinic. RID: 41271
Click to report rating    11/28/12   1     4     5     2   Not happy with the advice given by male Vet. Although we were taking our dog to be groomed, against my "gut instinct" he recommended having all vaccination shots given before grooming which caused a reaction. I felt this was a money grab and should have known not to have shots given at one time. I only spoke with Vet on the phone and found this was not professional. I very mad at myself and should not have listened. DO NOT RECOMMEND RID: 38756
Click to report rating    11/5/12   5     5     5     5   There is an old saying "you get what you pay for". Yes, I find Spencer Creek a little bit more expensive than other vets HOWEVER I find that they really do what they say they are going to do, and they really do_ look at their blood work. I used to take my 2 pets to another vet in the City, and I have issue with a potentially toxic drug, and liver function etc. My other Vet, I think never looked at the blood work except to see if it was in acceptable limits. Thus he missed a slow but steady 2 year decline in the blood work, because it wasn't marked H or L they just ignored it. The problem could have been prevented by looking at the TREND. I paid thousands of dollars to this other vet over time, and finally requested to have the blood work, and I discovered the over sight myself. THIS would never happen at Spencer Creek!!! They take everything so seriously! They are meticulous in their care, and I actually GET WHAT I PAY FOR with them! Quality cost more, and that is true here! RID: 38281
Click to report rating    8/11/12   2     2     1     1   Yes, the staff and vets are so nice and friendly—but when my pet died in their hands from minor surgery that they recommended (the animal wasn't suffering from anything) i then googled it and found out that for an animal of this age and with prior medical conditions (that they were aware of) the surgery was considered risky. they then proceeded to charge for the surgery! i think they love money more than animals. i certainly would never take a pet here again. RID: 36414
Click to report rating    8/7/12   5     5     4     5   I would recommend Spencer Creek to anyone. Dr. Whalen, Candace, and all of the staff there have gone above and beyond to help me and my dog. I feel that they truly care about all their animal patients and always treat my dog like he was one of their own. I am confident that the medical care he received there early on has made a huge difference in his quality of life. The staff worked with the SPCA and my pet insurance company on my behalf to help me cover the costs of my dogs treatments. This is one clinic that is not in it for the money - they are true animal lovers. RID: 36327
Click to report rating    7/3/12   1     2     1     1   Vet. will not speak with clients over the telephone. Most perscriptions I have had filled at the vet. are 25-50% more expensive than purchasing them from my local drug store. Grooming windows are very limited. The cost of boarding is at the top, very top of the range. I have found much better options. Front desk staff can be quiet rude. RID: 35399
Click to report rating    5/5/12   5     5     5     5   The absoulte best animal hospital that I have ever dealt with. Staff and Vets are just wonderful. They look after my pets with love and compasion. Highest of recommendations. RID: 34032
Click to report rating    3/11/12   5     4     5     5   I work as an assistant at a another animal hospital, but drive all the way out to Spency Creek only for my Rats. (I live 2 cities away lol) the only Vet I'll ever let touch my rats since coming here will always now be Dr. Stubbs. Ive done my research, I know my stuff, and I know what kind of meds and procedures should be done for rats, and other vets i consulted with either highly overcharged for services that were unsuccessful and lackluster, or i knew more than the vet about the situation lol. I looked high and low for a decent small animal exotic vet to take my Pet Rats too, and so happy i finally found Dr. Stubbs at Spencer creek> thanks saying alot considering i wont even let the vet i work for touch my rats lol. RID: 32824

2/13/12   3     3     3     3   I'm on the fence about this vet. I took a sick ferret to be euthanized, and they were incredibly warm, friendly, compassionate and welcoming. It made a horrible situation a little bit better. But I recently took a small animal there for a nail trimming and they took next to nothing off the nails. I'm not sure what I paid for. When they gave me my pet, they told me they "normally have to anesthetize this type of animal for nail trimming". They didn't anesthetize mine, but they didn't tell me this beforehand either. I hope they weren't planning on doing that without asking me. Summary: they were nice for euthanization but nail trim wasn't worth the money. RID: 32202
Click to report rating    1/11/12   5     5     5     5   Doctor Stubbs is our primary vet, and she is fantastic. A couple of times we have seen Dr. Whelan, too, and the same goes for her. I would agree with all of the positive comments below, and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. The staff is excellent, and everyone there really gets to know their patients well. Our dogs go to Spencer Creek for daycare every once in a while, and always have a great time. And, although it's not something that anyone likes to think about, the inevitable "end of life" issues are handled there in such a sensitive and caring way, that we feel lucky to have such excellent care for our dogs. RID: 30460
12/14/11   3     5     4     3   I have found that there is variation in quality of diagnosis and treatment when dealing with Dr. Whelan vs Dr. Stubbs. I now only see one of them if I can possibly help it. And I now seek a second opinion on anything significant, or life-threatening. RID: 29841
Click to report rating    6/15/11   5     5     4     5   I have brought my 3 cats (now 2) to Angela for years. The clinic and its staff have always been professional and compassionate. My cats have had varied health concerns (not so serious to serious) over the years and I’ve always felt like my cats were in good hands. Last summer I had to put one of my beloved cats to sleep and the clinic and its staff were understanding and supportive. I know they must have a large number of animals (and their people) they see but they always make me feel like they understand each animal as unique and important to his/her person. Sometimes an appointment may start a little late but I understand they need to prioritize animals depending on the gravity of health concerns. I know I would appreciate my animals getting priority if there were serious health concerns; having said that, the vast majority of appointments begin on time. RID: 25645
Click to report rating    10/29/10   5     5     5     5   Spencer Creek is an excellent Clinic with amazing staff. Dr. Whelan and Dr. Stubbs are very knowledgeable and up to date with the latest medical techniques. The staff are friendly, helpful and compassionate. I highly recommend this clinic. RID: 20568
Click to report rating    4/30/10   5     5     5     5   Great vet. It is not just a job for there everyone there is interested in the health and well being of your animals. I can not tell you how much they have help all of our animals - even our duck! They are extremelly knowledgable and caring. RID: 17754
Click to report rating    12/4/09   5     5     5     5   Dr Whelan and Dr Stubbs are the most incredible Vets that I have ever met. They are knowledgable, compassionate, dedicated. Their staff are wonderful. My dogs love being there...their tails start wagging the moment they walk in that office. I would highly recommend them to any pet owner. RID: 15589
