I have been extremely impressed by Dr. Sheafor and her staff. My cat has cancer (fibrosarcoma) and she spent more than an hour meeting with me and reviewing the treatment (and non-treatment) options in detail. Dr. Sheafor has been wholly supportive of the difficult choices we've had to make for our cat, even though our choice was not the one she recommended. She has provided us with all the information we need to make informed choices, and has done so in a compassionate and empathetic, yet thoroughly professional way. Highly recommended.

Chief of oncology and practicing oncologist. My experience was that she would not consider any discussion from the client regarding treatment that was not suggested by her. In the final days of my dogs life when it became apparent that he would not survive, I felt I was continually being assigned to a much less experienced, new oncologist, after being with an oncologist who was an expert in the field, with no explanation or discussion. There was no discussion when treatment started that I would be reassigned at a later time. My dog entered his last treatment happy and able to walk, by that night he was very weak and immobile. I had to say goodbye three days later. Her staff responded that it could not have possibly been from the treatment. I found out later through medical records that she had increased the dosage without any discussion. Take home medication were significantly changed from the prior time with no explanation.
