Dr.Terry Varney is a horrible vet. I cry for how he treated my mother. My cat who was the sweetest cat ever was brought in and my cat had a couple abcessing which are very painful and he purposely pressed down on my cats abcess and he ended up dying the next day . He was the nicest cat I have ever had and my cat had an undeserved horrible end because of Dr.Terry.

Dr. Gregory Varney is experienced, caring, and knowledgeable. The whole staff is fantastic! Olie our chihuahua have been a patient of Dr. Varney and she is very at ease with the whole staff. Thank you all!

Dr. Cohen and her assistant were very caring and compassionate when we had to euthanize our dog. They went over and above to accommodate us and as hard as it was, they made it bearable. Thank you.

I am so upset with this clinic that I just had to write this. I called today to follow up on a visit in early December. I was told that my dog had a bad infection and that the vet had left a message on the day of my visit. No message was left and no follow up was done. My dog has been suffering for the past 10 days. The original visit was very expensive and then I had to pay meds again today. Why would no one have followed up when I didn't call back to pick up the meds. The original owner has retired and the quality of care has gone downhill tremendously. So disappointed as this clinic came highly recommended.

This clinic is overgrown. The front desk staff are incredibly wonderful. If your cat is being fitted with a "collar" and staying there, pls insist on checking in on them. My mother's cat was placed in the tiniest of cages with a neck collar on...despite food and water in cage, this little cat was unable to even drink. My mother didn't complain and should have. When the cat got home, she had a hard time to stop drinking - she was THAT thirsty. My mother never went back there. It was a trauma for her to see how her cat had been cared for. Additionally, I feel that 'some' of the vets prolong a pet's life way past time, including Dr. Greg. Why? Think about it....this is also a business. It isn't always in a pet's best interests.

Dr Lana Cohen was scheduled to do our pet's euthanasia. She began the appointment by saying she does not do euthanasia and suggested we were uncaring and our dog should be placed in a rescue. Fluff was a rescue, we had rehabilitated her over three years and our family was heartbroken to lose her. She was cruel and uncaring and unprofessional. Fluff would not of been able to handle the procedures and operations and was fully paralyzed in her back legs. It was a selfless decision to give her peace as her previous abuse caused her to be unable to be away from us or our home. Even walking her was very stressful for her being around other dogs was impossible. She came from a very bad situation and we gave her love and this vet decided to make our goodbye horrific.

I have been going to this clinic since its first location at Glenwood Plaza back in the 70's. It's an excellent clinic and some of the staff have been there for years and get to know you and your pets. Dr. Terry Varney took care of all my family's pets from the time I was a child to adulthood. His son, Greg, was a classmate of mine and I never thought that one day he would save my lab, who needed a cancerous lump removed. Experienced, caring, and knowledgeable. Number 1 clinic in Western Quebec - rest assured, your pets will be well take care of by his team.

Dr. T Varney and Dr. G. Varney are very compassionate and understanding. They are very honest and know what they are doing. I have been going to Dr. Varney's for over 30 years. I have had to at times, deal with other emergency clinics, and can state that Dr. Varney's is the one animal health clinic that really cares about the animals and not how much they can put into their pockets. Their knowledge and experience is what makes them the best. They talk to you, talk to your pets and will advise on the best option to take for your pets care. We do not always like what we hear, but at least at Dr. Varney's you know you are getting the best advice possible.

I have been bringing my three cats to this clinic for many years. Dr. Varney and his son are the best! They are straightforward, honest, trustworthy and compassionate. The staff are always in a good mood, willing to help (opening doors when hands are full and bringing stuff to your car) and they too are compassionate and caring. The facities are always clean. Sometimes they are not on time for their appointments but that is because they truly take the time to listen to their clients concerns and questions. I have never had a bad experience.

I have taken my dog and cats to this Clinic for 30 years. My pets have been the recipients of the best care available in the region and I feel privileged to call both Drs Terry and Greg Varney my Veterinarians. Greg was a lifesaver for my sick cat while I was out of the country and not only did he provide exceptional care to my pet but he took the time to alleviate my stress and worry with daily calls. In every encounter that I have had with this Clinic, I have received exceptional care. Annette deserves special mention for her unfailing support, friendliness, knowledge and caring. I feel so strongly about the excellence of both Drs Varney that on two occasions I have written to the Quebec Veterinary Association to commend these Doctors. Dr Greg Varney has been my Vet for the past years and he has proven himself over and over. He investigates the current research and practices; he is so competent and knowledgeable; and above all he is kind and compassionate. Kathy Slattery

I've been going to this vet clinic for over 20 years now. I've turned so many people onto this great secret. I do not recommend anything unless I truly believe in it. I highly recommend this vet to anyone that has a chance to make it theirs. They have always been affordable, extremely knowledgeable and make you feel like family each and every time you go.

Dr. Terry, and more recently with his son, Greg, have been our vet(s) for about 30 years - for all of our dogs and cats; currently two of each. Annette & Monique, at the front line, are also to be commended. Experienced, compassionate and so patient, easy to talk to, ask questions, share concerns, etc..

Vet Greg Varney and the staff is fantastic! I have complete faith in him. They have taken care of my very sick cat on 2 occasions and he is still alive and kicking at 17! the staff is FABULOUS.

Everyone one here is excellent! We have been going for years and even when we moved 50Km + away we still make the trip for our dogs. Caring professional knowledgable staff and as many say, they provide you with options for budget/ethical considerations. FANTASTIC!!! Realistic in understanding that pet owners do not have millions of dollars for tons of exploratory testing unless it is truly warranted. They give options and advice. Best Vets I have used ever.

Drs. Varney were awesome with a foster dog pulled from the local shelter; the lab pup arrived at the shelter with a suspected broken leg. Understanding that rescue works from donations and the generousity of others, they were able to 'whittle' down their estimate and provide exceptional care for the pup through the healing of the bone process

The absolute best!!! Staff is very friendly and I have taken my dogs to both Dr. Varneys but mostly Greg and he is the best vet in the area! Obvioulsy cares about the animals and doesn't scam you into unnessary treatments.
