Click to report rating    1/28/16   4     5     4     4   I am a rat owner, so all of my comments come from an "exotic" small animal owner. It's a bit hard to rate the clinic overall, because I honestly feel like there is only one vet on staff who is reliable - Dr.Golan. She is GREAT, very compassionately, understanding, intelligent, trustworthy and she wants to work with you - not against you. She is very receptive to trying different kinds of treatments and doing absolutely everything to make your pet well again. Pricing is pretty decent, it could be better but it is affordable. The facility itself is very nice and always clean. The receptionists have always been lovely and sweet. I do usually have to wait a bit past when my appointment is scheduled for, usually about 15 minutes. That's not really surprising though. I highly recommend Dr.Golan for rats (& other animals I am sure), but stay away from Dr.Nye, he is much too conservative in his treatments with rats. RID: 59621
Click to report rating    1/5/10   1     1     1     1   They killed my bird. I had a little parakeet who was with me for three years now. Suddenly he developed problems with his breathing. I took him to Ness exotic. Doc didn't tell me whether my bird was serious or he would get better. Had he diagonised him properly and gave medicines for respiratory tract infection, my bird would have survived. Or if the doctor had told me that he was really suffering and won't survive, I would have at least given him to some animal care organisation or refuge, so that he would have had his last days there and not right in front of my eyes. I loved him so much, poor boy died in my hands. I cried so much and didn't eat or sleep for days together. First of all the doctor didn't treat my son and secondly he didn't let me know he is having serious issues. I thought it was just a small problem and he will recover. Can they give my son back? Chicken/meat lovers might not understand my feelings, as they would have seen blood and death, but I am sure veggies will. RID: 16025
