I’ve been going to this clinic for years. All the vets, techs and staff are compassionate, friendly and professional. I’m so thankful for this clinic. I trust them completely with my pets.

My geriatric poodle (13years old), has been a patient of Dr. Trann's for a number of years now. She recently became covered in large tumour like growths. Dr Trann and the staff were so caring and honest about everything. My favourite thing about this vet clinic is the fact they give you the owners every option and fee associated with it UPFRONT. So there's no surprise bill or fee and you can plan accordingly. They were worried about my dog handling the surgery due to her age and gave us a quote of the max the surgery could cost including these complications. My dog came out of the surgery better then anyone could've expected due to their loving care of her. She is healthy and strong and better then ever. The other great thing was the cost of it all, was less then half the quoted price. These guys aren't about the money, they really care for the animals and want to give them the best care possible.

DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE!! DR. TRANN IS VERY MONEY HUNGRY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. PULLED A FAST ONE BY PERFORMING SERVICES THAT WERE NOT CONSENTED TO BY THE PET OWNERS. THEN, OF COURSE THE PET OWNERS WERE BILLED IN FULL. HOW ABOUT EXPLAINING FIRST AND ASKING? DR. TRANN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PETS.

Dr. Trann is an excellent vet, she has looked after 8 dogs and 5 cats for for years, many of our family travel over 100 miles for her to treat their pets, We would NOT go to anyother clinic

I required a post mortem for my deceased cat. This procedure is done by University of Guelph, but requires that the request come from a vet's office. In talking with Dr Trann, we agreed on an amount that would cover Guelph's fees and one we had a final bill from Guelph then any over-payment would be reimbursed. Dr. Trann said there would be no charge from her office since I was driving my cat out to Guelph myself and they were just sending the request. She did say that if I had to come in for an appointment to go over the results then there might be a fee for that. Needless to say, when the final bill came Dr Trann has conveniently forgotten that he office would not be charging anything for not doing any work and there was a tacked on "Professional Services" charge. I find going against agreements to be distinctly unprofessional.

We have experienced cancer with our golden retrievers and renal failure with our rescue cat. Dr. Cindy Trann provided information about these conditions are the prognosis of seeking expensive treatment. I believe that she is ethical and compassionate.

I have to strongly disagree with the previous rating,as I have found Dr.Trann to be the opposite on a billing perspective. Having taken my animals there after being at a previous vet who WAS billing me too much for unnecessary tests, I have found Dr.Trann to always be cost conscious, and I have heard her ask the front staff, when deciding between medications, "which one will cost them less?". I've compared her rates to other vet clinics in the area, hers are usually less than others. I also know that she only recommends heartworm testing every other year because she has said that if the dog has been on heartworm preventive all summer long, they shouldn't need the test, but she has to recommend every other year by law, because of the high risk of giving more heartworm preventive if the dog does in fact have heartworm. If you uncomortable with that, you can simply sign a waiver.

Dr. Trann truly cares about the well being of the animals and is a wonderful, caring veterinarian. The technicians and support staff are also wonderful, and I do not hesitate to bring my animals to Mount Joy animal clinic!

We took our very sick cat here who had lost weight, was lethargic, had some urinary incontinence and was sleeping in the litter box. Dr. Trann had her in care for 2 days only to call us and tell us there was no bacteria or sign of infection and provide us with meds to strengthen her bladder wall. We did not feel this was enough, refused the meds and decided to take her to another vet for a second opinion. The other vet found her to be severely anemic, with swollen kidneys, shortness of breath and poor hearbeat. She described her as deathly ill, has performed blood work but has prepared us that she may not live tonight. She is on antibodics and prednisone tonight as we await results. THIS IS A CAT THAT MOUNT JOY SENT HOME "WELL"!!! We hope our cat will survive, but are in shock that she is in this condition after 2 DAYS under Mount Joy's care who wanted to put her on a fairly superficial medication. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!

Brought my small new puppy there since it was not feeling well and was concerned about the puppy's health and Dr. Trann was not compassionate, very rushed and the visit was a waste of my time and money. Do not go there despite people saying they are reasonably priced. The front couter staff were great but Dr. Trann was not.

Dr.Trann (practice owner) is a compassionate, experienced and honest vet. She has a true love of animals and always thoroughly explains the details of all procedures and treatment options thoroughly to ensure client understanding. My pets receive nothing but the best care there and their receptionists and technicians are always extremely helpful and well informed. I highly recommend this clinic!

I took my cat in for tests, he stayed overnight, the vet called to say he was resting comfortably; the next morning, I was to pickup my cat only to be told that he had died that morning. The vet's explanation did not seem pausible. I had a gut feeling that she was lying to me, I believe their practices caused or expedited my cat's death.
