I took my 2 kitties to McDowell for a spay & neuter. I rescued them when they were tiny & abandoned. They mean the world to me. I got vouchers to help in doing the right thing. McDowell is listed on the vouchers as a place that regularly does these procedures. I will never forgive myself for not taking them to my regular vet.
When I arrived for our appointment, McDowell was squeezing an extra surgery into his schedule even though he had "a lot of surgeries". He left in the morning right after the surgeries & never returned. When the assistant called to tell him my Herman was not waking up, he said it was normal & to put a hot water bottle on him. "The doc" never returned to try to save my kitty. The asst also left shortly after surgery for an hour lunch, leaving the anesthetized animals unsupervised, even though she said they are to check on them every 15 mins.
McDowell did not return when I went to pick up my kitties--1 dead. He won't return my messages. Don't risk your animals!
