Lee Follett does not carry insurance as an equine dentist. He over-floated my horses teeth verified by my equine veterinarian 5 days after being seen by Follett. My horse has no sharp points or enamel to eat hay. It has been 4 weeks since his butchered dental visit and still not eating hay. My veterinarian said he might not ever be the same. DO NOT USE LEE FOLLETT AS YOUR EQUINE DENTIST! 4 other horses here were seen at my barn are having the same issues. Also seen by another veterinarian who said they were all over floated and done poorly.

Dr. Shoemaker is amazing! She is a 5+++++++ I travel more than 2hours each way for Dr. Shoemaker to care for my lab, Angel. I will never forget the day I had to carry her (50+ pounds) in to see the Dr. because she simply could not walk. I was in tears because I thought this is it. 2 hours later Angel walked out of her office with a little limp. Angel had torn ACL's and I decided against surgery - Dr. Shoemaker performed a series of prolotherapy treatments over a period of time and now Angel frolics in the backyard - you would never know she is 14 and had ACL tears. In addition, Dr. Shoemaker is so incredibly knowledgeable and wise. I have learned so much from her about dog (and owner) psychology/behavior, physiology, nutrition, eastern/western medicine, and more. I highly, highly recommend her.

What an amazing practice! Every single individual that works in this office is so helpful, kind and obviously cares about your pet. We are always made to feel like we are part of a bigger picture and a family, and this started from minute one at our first appointment. Dr. Shoemaker is so careful to fully explain every detail in a manner that is easy to understand, no text book talk here, she truly wants you to know what is going on with your pet and openly welcomes questions. (if my husband walked away and was regurgitating everything she taught us at that first appointment to everyone that would listen, that's proof what a captivating teacher she is!) I have never been made to feel any question I may have is insignificant. Her love for each individual animal and their welfare is apparent. Whether your favorite fuzzy is big or small, you cannot go wrong bringing them to this practitioner and her wonderful staff...you will NOT be disappointed! E. Nesbitt

The "monetary value" rating is subjective. Dr. Shoemaker's bills are higher than my traditional vet but if you were to break it down with actual amount of time spent with my pet and I it is way less expensive. I found Always Helpful after traditional Veterinary medicine wasn't working for my hyper-vigilant Doberman Pincher. After the first visit he was calmer and we got him from extremely loose stools to normal/soft. I have two dogs and one is low maintenance and he does well with seeing my "Western Vet" 1x per year, but my high-maintenance one needs the extra care that he gets at Always Helpful. Dr. Shoemaker also turned me on to Emu Oil which has done wonders for neuropathic pain in my feet caused by chemotherapy.

Monetary? Seriously? How can you put a price on your dog's health? I am delighted to rave about Always Helpful Veterinary Services and am a long standing customer. I brought my lure coursing afghan hounds to Dr. Shoemaker ages ago, to keep them healthy for the intense athletic activity and reconnected recently (last year) to get Tarot & Trix's immune systems up to optimal levels. So, let me expound a little on each of the ratings and my experience... 1. The staff is the absolute best! I have NEVER been to any other veterinary clinic that is so warm and inviting and where I felt that my dog's health was priority, as opposed to income. 2. Facilities - WOW! WOW! WOW! This is like no other facility you've ever seen. It is not a clinic or an office. It's a warm and inviting renovated barn, akin to walking into someone's home, which lends itself to the comfort of the dogs. 3. I have never waited more than 5 minutes, if that! Where does that ever happen?! 4. See above-out of space! TY AHVS

Dr. Shoemaker is a Godsend. We feel like humans and canines alike! Its not just another paycheck to her. Its helping us to help our animals and spending the time to educate and use natural remedies that are so often hidden in our mass society. The staff is so kind and friendly. I feel like we are all old friends the minute we walk through the door.

I NEVER would have had the years with my chronic renal cat without the help of Always Helpful, Dr. Shoemaker and her staff. The knowledge and experience of Dr. Shoemaker is unlike any other practice. Her support staff does an amazing job at keeping the information flowing - critical when you have a pet with health challenges. If you don't enlist the help available with Always Helpful, you're only getting half of the help available for your pet. Always Helpful makes it easy to blend holistic care with traditional care. If you're feeling helpless with your pets health challenges or if you want to get it right from the beginning - the care and knowledge you will receive from Always Helpful is not just "Always Helpful" it's life changing and empowering for both you and your pet. As a long time client here, I would give higher ratings if possible. Everyone here is so positive always. Dr Shoemaker is a treasure in terms of knowledge. She works with your regular vet to get results.

Dr. Shoemaker and her staff are kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and compassionate. It is obvious that they love what they do and genuinely care for the animals they see. We have been exceptionally pleased with the care provided to our aging Chessie. Dr. Shoemaker is an incredible storehouse of knowledge and thoroughly explains her rationale for treatment.

Dr. Shoemaker and her staff at Always Helpful Veterinary Services provide exceptional diagonsis and care for our horses. They are genuinely concerned for the overall care and well being of all their equine clients. Their exam and treatment of the horse is very thorough and they follow up to see how the horse is progressing.

Dr. Shoemaker is the BEST. She truly cares about all the pets she treats in her facility. She can help all animls live a healthier life. She has helped my dog when a conventional Vet. could not. I can not say enough good about her. I will be taking my other 2 pets to her as well. The facility is always clean and her staff is always kind and courteous.
