This butchery clinic charged us $2000.00 for a botched surgery (according to a knowledgeable, reliable, veterinarian) and, according to a real vet, the surgery was done WRONG. My dog's ear had started to go necrotic (tissue dying) and as a result of the botched job and will now most likely lose his ear. According to the real vet, my dog has been in extreme pain for 3 weeks now because of the butchery done to him at this clinic. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE A PLAGUE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR POOR ANIMALS TO THIS SLAUGHTERHOUSE. RID: 69960
Click to report rating    9/10/20   1     1     1     1   We recently had our 11 year old healthy cat seen here, she had gotten into a fight with another cat and needed an abscess that was already partially drained fully cleaned out. We were told she would require local freezing only due to her age and that we could clean it daily at home. Fast forward 8 hours later when we arrived to pick her up, we were met with our lump, barely breathing completely hazed cat. She had been put under anesthesia not once but twice in a 4 hour time frame. We paid a $300.00 bill and were told to watch her carefully. An hour later she still wasn't coming to, when we called we were told that this is a sign in older cats and to watch it carefully and there's nothing else they could do. She died 2.5 hours later in my arms. It was an avoidable and unnecessary death. The communication was terrible, lack of medical background review and the answers we were met with were inconsistent. Terrible service and lack of empathy, we will never recommend or return as customers. RID: 69521
Click to report rating    12/2/19   2     2     1     1   I brought my dog to this vet for an after hours emergency. She had eaten something on a trail, was showing symptoms of being poisoned. Upon seeing her, the vet thought she was likely high from eating THC-contaminated feces. Given where we were hiking, and how she was acting, I believe he was right. She seemed stoned. However, this vet over-treated/over-medicated my dog. Dr. Chahal also said he found a mysterious "lump" he on her back leg. I caught him just before he was about to sedate and x-ray her leg, WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. She came in for emergency poisoning - not her leg. She wasn't limping, and was not indicating any pain. I checked thoroughly for weeks, there never was a lump. The vet bill was over $900. According to other vets, for this kind of emergency visit/stay, it should have cost about $600. One vet thought many of the medications were unnecessary (6 shots, 5 different drugs, over 8 hours), plus 2 meds they wanted to send me home with. When asked what the meds were for, h RID: 68774
Click to report rating    11/11/15   5     5     5     5   Dr. Chahal saved my dogs life, and for that I will always be grateful. She came in with open pyometra and he performed an emergency surgery on her. The infection was so bad that if we had waited any longer or if he had made a wrong snip during surgery she would be dead. He and his staff truly care for the animals they treat and it shows in everything they do. I highly recommend this vet hospital and will be taking all of my animals here for as long as I remain in the area. RID: 58931
Click to report rating    5/14/14   5     5     5     5   The person that wrote the review below is extremely inaccurate !! Cheam view is the best animal hospital I've ever been too. Dr. Chahal is the best Vet with very reasonable rates. He gives me discounts on everything every visit we have . I have been to several vets in Chilliwack and his hospital is by far the best . My dogs love him so much and they are not very people friendly ! I went to him for the first time on an emergency call he saved my dog from after he are something poison it was very late at night and he came right away. As for his staff everyone is very pleasant and knowledgable. Especially Randy she has been there a long time and is truly a wonderful person with a very caring attitude ! My dogs have behavioural issues and I call there all the time and she always helps me know matter how busy she is ! Wonderful place to bring your pets. RID: 51564

11/22/12   5     5     5     5   I had my first experience with this clinic in October, and it was excellent. All of my questions were answered in detail. The Dr. is completely up to date on the procedures and testing I require, and the staff is friendly and efficient. I found the cost for testing and procedures to be more than fair. As a pet owner/show breeder, I'm thrilled to have found a clinic I can trust and rely on. Thank you, Dr.KC! RID: 38647
Click to report rating    3/12/12   5     5     5     5   Although we were very sad to see Dr. Cindy leave, our experiences with Dr. Chahal have been very positive. He was warm, friendly and genuinely caring. He made my frightened whippet feel secure and less nervous all the while he was checking her over. His medical care was top-notch, with follow-ups and consultations regarding treatment. No need to worry about going to Cheamview, the care is excellent and the staff are helpful and friendly. Click to report rating    11/29/11   5     5     5     5   From an emergency 3 am call to staying after closing time , (past 8 pm) , Dr chahal gave my dog such kind care and attention to his health that I knew I found the very best veterinarian for my dog. I haven't lived here for long and Dr. Chahal and his wife and staff are the nicest vet team I've ever encountered. Thank-you for making my little dog well again. You have the kindest of spirits. My little baby wasn't even shaking with nervousness at the vet (usually would)Dr. Chahal has such a calm approach. He made us both feel better! RID: 29455
5/27/11   2     4     4     4   My cat's lungs were filled with fluid, but I was assured that they weren't. After hundreds of dollars, I made the terrible decision to euthanize, and fluid literally rushed out of his nose onto the table when he died. A day later, after making arrangements for a burial plot, I received a call asking when I was picking up his body as (and I quote) "Your cat is decomposing in our fridge." I was also told that they were "sorry for my loss" at the EXACT same time my bill was slid across the counter to me. I changed vets immediately, and am SO happy with Valley Veterinary Services - excellent diagnostics, friendly staff, fabulous surgeons. RID: 25263
