Dr.Stephanie Schaefer completed a spay and vaccines on my 3 year old boxer. She used absorbable stitches and the incision healed very well. I would recommend her to anyone for surgical and medical treatment. Katie F.

My beagle/jack russell mix was neutered by Dr. Schaefer and everything went great! She and the staff at VCA have taken good care of all our pets over the years. I would recommend Dr. Schaefer to anyone. They seem to have well equipped facilities and they are perfectly willing to fit me in when one of my dogs or cats needs to be seen.

I took my yellow Lab in to be spayed and they almost killed her. Dr. Stephanie Schaefer did not stitch her up properly during surgery, and when the dog wasn't waking up afterwards and her belly was cold, Dr. Schaefer discovered the dog was bleeding internally. The Dr. re-sedated her and did a second surgery without ever notifying me. I was then told to take my dog home, or take her to a 24 hour hospital as VCA Beech Grove was not capable of watching the dog overnight. The surgeon recommended that I take the dog home and she would be fine. The dog had to be carried out to my car on a stretcher! Upon arriving at a 24 hour hospital they immediately put my dog on a fluid IV as her gums where turning white. It's a good thing I didn't follow Dr. Schaefer's recommendation and take my dog home! VCA Beech Grove showed a total lack of concern and care toward my dog. I will never take an animal there again! Tish Stewart
