Click to report rating    3/26/15   5     5     5     5   This is the top medical facility for animals with medical conditions, bar none. Dr. Elie and his staff treated my little yorkie mix, cupcake who was very sick with a serious liver, adrenal gland condition for a few years with great success . he is one of the the most compassionate, competent RID: 56422
Click to report rating    1/1/13   1     3     1     1   Had a dog with a neck injury. Kept the dog overnight. Said that they could control the injury with medication. Charged me $4,000.00 dollars for this information, At 3:00 am called and said they needed to put the dog down. Perfectly healthy dog. The dog was put down. Did a stop payment of the check. Sued me for $12,000 for murdering my dog. Hired an attorney, bill came to $1700.00 No compassion from staff, Dr. Ellis was a jerk. Not interested in your pet, only interested in in how much money they can milk out of your bank account. RID: 39331
Click to report rating    12/13/12   1     2     1     1   Very Pricey, long waits, NO compassion or personable people skills, and will not fix their mistakes, even for a new bandage on a broken toe!! I do NOT recommend them---and I was referred to them! What a let down :( RID: 39037

Click to report rating    5/10/12   1     3     1     1   I have to say this is not a place you want to take your pet to in an emergency. The staff was unable to handle my dog who has a stellar record with our regular vet. The specialist that gave the prognosis was unavailable to ever meet with me in person and the Dr. that was handling us could not answer my questions and had to continually leave the room to give me answers third party with hours between questions! I also found the staff to be condescending and uninterested in offering care or consideration to their customers. They treat the numbers not the patient and are obviously looking only at running up your bill. I looks like they are quota driven not care driven. RID: 34170
8/17/11   2     4     2     1   I have had an absolute horrible experience at this facility. One doesn't know what the other is doing, the Dr. we had changed his story from day to day, our dog was getting worse. We transferred him to another facility (against the wishes of MVS) and he was diagnosed immediately with something MVS missed. I would not take my beloved pets here for any reason. I will say Dr Middleton and Dr.Bevesda (surgeon) were superb). I am looking into further legal action as well. RID: 26988
Click to report rating    6/4/11   3     5     5     1   Beautiful facility. Some staff were nice, others talked down to us and treated us like idiots. And holy cow, the costs! It would not have been as bad if we had received what we would have considered good quality care. The surgeon told us they were going to do one procedure, but when we collected our pet we found to our surprise that they had done another one. This necessitated us having to go back for a second, much more invasive procedure. Putting our pet through this was heartbreaking. When we called them on it we got a slight "discount." Whoopie. This place is all about maximizing profits. A quick look through their website will show this. They've got you by the you-know-whats and they know it. I would not be in a hurry to go back there. Click to report rating    3/21/11   1     1     1     1   The head cardiologist gave us a quote for heart surgery. When we came in to have the surgery done, they had a new quote that was $400 higher than the original. It was wiping out our savings with the lower quote to do the surgery, so we definitely couldn't afford the higher quote. They refused to help us and said that they never gave us the lower quote! They essentially called us liars! The head cardiologist complained to us that she doesn't make that much money and probably makes less than we do (we make less that $45,000 a year between the two of us!)!!! She founded all three branches of this clinic! The entire staff doesn't communicate and they didn't call us when they said they would! RID: 23716
Click to report rating    7/10/10   1     2     2     1   My cat Roscoe was dying of cancer, and they talked me into chemo for $1000.00, and he died 1 day after his treatment. The vet said she was sorry. My cat Sheba was mistreated recently for hyperthroidism. They never explained that she was over treated with radiation/iodine, and the vet, Dr. Elie, just blew us off.Now I have a 10 yr old cat who has to be pilled the rest of her life to control her thyroid. I am contacting my attorney, MVS never responded to phone calls. RID: 18730
Click to report rating    1/30/10   3     2     2     1   Be sure to ask if their specialist are really on site and that they do not simply consult over the phone with someone. Most specialist should be Board Certified in their specialty. They DO NOT have a Radiation Oncologist on Staff. Their oncologist consult with someone out of state. We never knew this until after our pet had to be hospitalized for being over treated during radiation therapy. A treament that we have been told would only be given for one day in a week at this dose, was given for 5 days straight. When symptoms of radiation sickness were relayed to the oncologists on staff they still went ahead and gave another treatment. Paid $2000.00 for the one wk of radiation treament and then were billed $5000.00 for emergency care to treat the mistake. ER Dr.does not have knowledge about Rad. treament. The pet was sent home as being on the way to recovery but was hopitalized (at another clinic)one day later for continuation of care. BEWARE, main goal here is not you pet only $! RID: 16378
