Ignore the few bad ratings. Your pet gets moved into a waiting room close to when you arrive, a tech. greets you and gets your info. while taking temp. etc. The doctors are prompt and Dr. Morrison is extremely knowledgeable. My dog received care well beyond what was expected. High marks for service and staff. Easy parking, as well. Prices are in line with other vets. and cheaper for revisits. Long time client.

Excellent clinic. Compassionate, caring, friendly staff. Have been taking my dogs here for over 6 years. Very keen attention to detail, high awareness of dental issues, and fair pricing.

We travel from the west end of town to Barriefield because we trust this clinic. They have always provided exceptional care for our pets, and we can sense they truly love animals. In our option, Barriefield is certainly an excellent clinic and would recommend to friends / family.

This is a wonderful clinic, and I have enjoyed the care given to my pets here. Dr.Morrison is always attentive and helpful. Dr. Edwards is also very patient and kind. Sometimes the desk staff can be impatient at times, and may get a little short with some clients(that I have seen). However, they are generally great overall and I am very happy to be their client.

This is an amazing clinic. We are so pleased to have such a great vet hospital in Kingston's East end. Nothing but good things to say about their vets, staff, and level of care and commitment. Highly recommend.

The staff here have been amazing taking care of my dog throughout the years. Both doctors have gone out of their way to care for my boy, and their compassion and dedication is truly appreciated. It has been a difficult road, between seizures (epilepsy), food allergies and incontinence... and random activity-related injuries. I am so happy to have found these people.

I've had so many nightmares with Vet clinics in the past that I seriously considered never getting dogs again. I recently moved to Kingston and Barriefield Animal Hospital has been a godsend. Since day one the staff has been so friendly and professional. We travel a lot and are very comfortable boarding our two dogs there. It's obvious the staff are all animal lovers. Thanks Cam, Megan, Sue and the rest of the staff for making pet ownership fun again.

It is a pleasure to visit Barriefield Animal Hospital and work with the talented staff. The two veterinarians Dr. Cam Morrison and Dr. Megan Edwards demonstrate a high degree of professionalism. Their encyclopedic knowledge, practical tips and gentle but thorough examinations offer reassurance to both the patient and the owner. With compassion and sensitivity, they counsel on optional treatments, costs, outcomes and durations. Over the years, we have come to rely implicitly and with confidence on their insights and put our faith in their integrity.

On a number of occasions my husband and I have been spoken down to by several members of the desk staff or treated as if we have limited knowledge of medical conditions or our dogs symptoms. Recently, my dog began to have a flare-up of his (common) ear infections. In the past I've been able to call for a repeat on his anti-fungal drops and it clears up quickly. I called this morning, was told I would be called back that same morning with a response to my request. In the afternoon when I called back after not being called back by the office, I was denied my request to treat my dog unless I brought him in for a FULL physical exam - which would cost a lot more than a repeat prescription to their benefit. I don't deal well with being blackmailed into paying more for additional services my animal doesn't require to be provided with drops for his ears. I will be removing my dogs from their "care" immediately.

The reception staff are awful, the groomer is the worst. My dog kept on coming back with cuts. When asked if she had problem with the dog she got defensive and told us to not bring him back. She is also really expensive.

Staff are in general nice but I asked for explanation from the manager, she just shake her shoulder and said this is the price , we used 2 pers to do the job, its nail trim for 25 lbs dog. charge was expensive than the most places.

I have found Barriefield Animal Hospital to have very compassionate and caring staff. They treat my dogs and cats as their own. Recently we have had to have a couple of dogs euthanized and the staff have always been very kind and supportive during the difficult times. Dr Morrison and staff would never recommend anything to be performed on animals unless absolute necessary. I trust all of the staff with my animals fully. I would recommend this vet hospital and staff to anyone.

We have been bringing our dog Molly to be groomed at Barriefield since 2007. We have never had anything but excellent service and total professionalism. Molly always comes out looking beautiful and happy!

My wife and children were very upset when they brought our cat, which had unexpectedly passed away at home to the clinic. The staff shuttled my wife and children into an examining room and showed absolutlely no compassion for them or our deceased cat. The groomer at this facility is second rate and charges too much for fair to poor grooming.

We just recently took our Scooby (lhasa apso) to have his hair cut and when we went to pick him up, we where told that we had to pay over $85 because he was a very aggressive dog and was hard to handle.We found this very strange, and when we questioned the aggressiveness because it was the first time any groomer has ever said such a thing about our dog, the groomer said fine pay the $65, and that she wasn’t going to argue with us and to never bring him back. We really were upset to learn that he may have truly been aggressive and wanted to know why, however, she wasn’t interested in our concerns or what we had to say about other groomers and about how we were always told he’s such a joy to cut his hair. This groomer was one that made up her own prices, even though she worked out of a Vet shop.I shouldn't rate Vet but they where providing the service in there building.

Thank you so much for the outstanding care and attention you give to my dog Gracie, every Tuesday while she is at "Doggie Daycare". Gracie loves going there and playing all day wih her four-legged friends. We love how exhausted she is when we pick her up. She often falls asleep on the car ride home and is so well behaved all evening as she has had her fill of exercise during the day. That is saying alot considering she is a high energy Australian Shephard!! She knows and is comfortable with all our your staff so I know that she must get attention for them throughout the day . I enjoy going to this vet clinic the staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. The vets suggestions are always in the best interest of my pets. It's a clean facility. The doggy daycare is a great program my dogs always go home tired, after they eat they pass out they are so tired. Which is awesome because they get fresh air and exercise and i don't have to worry about walking them after work.

Ginger LOVES this place. Doggie daycare is about the best money I spend through the week. When Ginger gets home from daycare, she goes straight to bed because she's exhausted from playing with the other dogs all day - its great! The staff is professional and courteous and most importantly, very knowledgeable.

I can't say enough about this Dr. Wong and Dr. Morrison. They are both very good at their jobs and very personable and professional. I drive more then half way across the city and then some just because this is such an amazing place to bring my animals.

Nice clinic, modern facilities, state of the art equipment. Dr. Cam Morrison is excellent, he is very knowledgable and good with the animals and you can see that he cares about them. He is good at explaining things to the clients also.
