I highly recommend this veterinary clinic. We had recently moved to the area and needed to find a vet to look at our cat's swollen ankle. Dr. Morgantini took an x-ray and diagnosed the swelling as cancer. She spend the time going over our options. Since he was 16 years old, we chose no heroic measures. She was very understanding and did not push for more testing. After a month we could see a decline, so the decision was made to say good bye. Dr. Morgantini and her staff at VCA Whitemud Creek were excellent from our first visit and were very compassionate on our last visit. Their costs were very reasonable which was appreciated since we did not have pet insurance.

I found out about Whitemud Creek Vet clinic from a family member after I got my first puppy. I'm so thrilled that I did. I will never worry about the health of my dogs again. My American Staffy has an ongoing allergy situation, and regardless of how busy they are, the Vets and Techs at WCVC always seem to make time to see him. He's never looked so good, and we have fewer problems and less occurences than we did before we found them. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone other than the staff at WCVC especially Dr. Meger and Dr. Morgantini. They are competent and incredibly educated. I read a few reviews of the cost of treatment - especially medications mention that though medications are never cheap, it needs to be kept in mind that a lot of the time medication prices are set by the manufacturer, not the clinic. In terms of service, the clinic is fairly priced, especially for the service and monitoring that occurs with my pets. Wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else! A+++

Do know and don't care what the person below me was referring to but I can tell you in the past 7 years I've been going there I have had nothing but great experiences. Not only do my 3 animals go there I recommend this place all the time to everyone. When I walk in not only do they know me, they know my pets and my pets love it!

I found this clinic to be a great value for the money. While they are not the cheapest clinic in town, you definitely get what you pay for. The staff is pleasant, professional, and greets me and my pets by name. The doctors strive to practice gold standard medicine and always answer all my concerns. I really can not say enough about how well this clinic has treated me and my fur babies.

This clinic is astronomically overpriced. I have recently done comparisons with 2 other vet clinics in the city that are great clinics, and Whitemud is more than double the cost. The cost of medications they prescribe are significantly inflated, as well as the testing.

My cat and I had a wonderful experience at this clinic. The entire staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and caring. They did not try to upsell unnecessary products and procedures like most other vets. The price was just a bit more than other clinics, but included many little extras that they did not charge for, so well worth it. I highly recommend this clinic!

This is the best vet clinic I have ever visited and this after a lifetime of owning pets (I'm in my 60s).The staff are excellent and knowledgeable and the vets are fantastic. My black Lab had a long standing issue with what turned out to be irritable bowel syndrome and after a few years with my original vet proscribing health foods and other herbal mumbo jumbo it was extremely refreshing to find someone who took the time to discuss with me all the possibilities for what could be causing my dog's problem - constant diarrhea and vomiting - and prescribe medication that helped almost overnight. Not only that but the vet even suggested lowering the medication over time and now my Lab doesn't need the medication. The vets also do follow up calls whenever the dog or my cats have needed treatment. I would recommend this clinic to anyone looking for unrivaled care for their pets.

i used to like it there... until i started noticing all the staff turn over...i don't care for anyone there anymore..i want to go there are not have someone new ask me who i am or what my dog's name is every time i walk in the door. i've been going there for years...one of the doctors is very good...however that goes out the window with the arrogance...just because you are smart doesn't mean you have to make others feel stupid...i have definitely heard lots of staff arguemnets while waiting in the reception area. very unprofessional.

I've had dogs with major medical needs which has meant many vet visits to different clinics over the years and I highly recommend this clinic. The quality of care and compassion they show to both animals and their people is amazing.

I have had great experiences with Whitemud Creek Vet Clinic. I don't feel they over diagnose, but rather, make me feel like I am over worrying about my dog. The first time I took my lab there (I had just gotten him and he was 5 years old), I was in the room with the vet for 2 hours as they explained a lot to me about Labs and their potential health risks. I do feel like the push their food on you, but my dog has an overeating complex (like most Labs) so I don't mind buying my food when I get him weighed since no other dog food has helped to keep his weight down. I do admit, there is one vet tech that always makes me feel I am treating my dog horribly, but the rest are always assuring and helpful. I don't listen to the one tech I don't like, and wait for someone else to help me. My dog is always recognized by the staff as soon as I walk in, even if I don't have an appointment. I truly enjoy WCVC.

After having brought my dog to 4 different vet clinics about him being lethargic, loosing hair and also an re-occuring eye inflammation I decided to come to Whitemud Creek Vet Clinic. At each vet I went to previously I had spent an arm and a leg and was still given the anwswer that they had no clue what was wrong with my dog. I decided to come to Whitemud Creek Vet Clinic from hearing about their work on the dogs from SCARS. Hell... if they can save THOSE dogs... mine is just losing a bit of hair occasionally an itchy eye. Dr. Misiazek was great, not only did we quickly figure out what the problem was after blood tests and a specialist appointment, but she was also extremely informative about all my options and the costs of them. I always feel well informed when I'm there, and perhaps some people may see this as overdiagnosing, but I understand this as being educated of all my options and deciding thereafter what I feel is appropriate.

I brought my new pets in to be examined for their general health, it cost me a little over $600 by the time i left. I have never felt so HUSTLED before in my life. To spay and neuter would have cost me $1200 for two, it cost me a little over $400 in stony plain. they must be paying for their location as sales of products is a major focus. and yes i do agree they overdiagnose and thus overtreat. and in that one and only visit they tried gettin me to book dental cleanings and spaying and neutering. i never felt so vulnerable. this was last sept and i have not been back 14months later. not even for their special dog food.

A relationship with your veterinarian is not just a matter of walking in the door. A requirement of being a client is a +personality and +attitude.
If your personality clashes with your veterinarian then LEAVE and find another one whom you can get along with but do not talk about the money.
Do not go into a veterinarian's office with a bad or me first attitude. Veterinary care is also a field where seriously injured or ill pets are always seen first.
In addition to personality and attitude, you have to have +patience.
We have absolutely no complaints about Whitemud Creek Veterinary Clinic. The vets and their staff are excellent pet stewards.
Pet owners should realize that owning a pet and the associated costs involved is a choice they make
Make your choice, but then accept that this choice means that you will have to spend money for expertise. Understand that personality, attitude, and much patience are also involved in the world of pet owners vs pet veterinarians.

Took my small bichon M for her annual. Wasted me 45 minutes for a poor service. First an assistant showed up, looked at the chart, commented that M bites and asked me to put a muzzle on her. M loved the staff in the previous vet before we moved here. She doesn't warm up to the staff here because we both don't feel welcome. This assistant asked me to put M on the scale before taking her temp. Told her that M might not like it. Then she left and have the vet to do that. We waited in the room. All I heard is laughing and talking from outside. Found the assistant and reminded her that we had been waiting for 1/2 hr already and she replied they only has 1 doc and she will come as soon as she can. Why didn't she come and let me know earlier? The vet came in after 40 minutes and apologize about tying up in an emergency. She gave M 2 shots in a hurry and ready to leave. Told her that she didn't take M's temp yet. The whole experience is so bad I will not return again. I don't recommend this.

Nice staff. It seems like they really try to sell you services. If you don't want to, they may give you the impression that your neglecting or mean to your pet. I would do anything for my dogs..but if I would do everything they wanted...I'd be in trouble.

Knowledgeable staff, but there is a clear move to "over-diagnose" your pet, suggesting that their symptoms could be this or that or even something more horrendous. As a pet owner, I was ready and willing to spend whatever it took- and boy, did I get taken. After a $3500 bill, I changed vets. To be fair, I don't doubt that this clinic knows their stuff, but I don't like the idea that pet owners are deemed ripe for the picking.
