I took my pet in for an examination-he was not handled gently during and after x-rays and examinations ( as I specifically instructed the doctor to do so )- I took my pet home after the exams and later that evening he developed bloat. No-one said this was a possibility. I rushed him back to the hospital where they "de-bloated" him (another traumatic procedure). The doctor released him to me and even still I was not told about the seriousness of this condition or that he could die if he was to re-bloat again and not be close to the facility for treatment. Well, he re-bloated the next morning and taken to the hospital where hours later my pet suffered several heart attacks and died a very traumatic death.

I couldn't be more pleased with the staff and services my dog received here. My dog was loved, cared for and every possible treatment was given him with careful planning and a team effort. When others would have said, he's an older dog, best to put him down, they kept trying to heal him and they did. The human doctors and staff could learn a great deal about how to treat humans from this veternarian facility.

I wish there was a higher rating than 5 for the wonderful staff and the great care we received from Dr. Donnor. 10 years ago I had a cat with a problem that was a mystery to my regular vets. They recommended Dr. Donnor for an assessment and in a second she diagnosed the problem and performed a delicate surgery that saved my cat's life. Fast forward to 2009 when I had a wonderful dog that had two different types of cancers. Dr. Donnor performed surgery to remove mast cell tumors and melanoma. The staff was so understanding and caring and my dog was returned to me with explicit instructions for his care. My dog amazingly survived both cancers with no recurrence which I owe to the excellent skills of this amazing vet and her staff. I would never hesitate to return to this vet and her staff should the need arise.

My vet recommended we take our cat to a specialist at SCVR. He was diagnosed with a cancer tumor and surgery recommended (only to extend his life by 6-18 mos, not cure him). I liked our doctor but support staff was insensitive. Went in Wed to remove the tumor, the following Wed he was dead. They released him the Sat after surgery but told us he hadn't eaten for 4 days. Cats kidneys begin to fail after 2 DAYS of NO FOOD which I learned after our cat died. He NEVER should have been released. We rushed him back to the hospital on Sun because he was deteriorating. They readmitted him because he was blocked (couldn't urinate). They said they thought he'd recover and he'd be released to us soon but by Wed he died of kidney failure in their care. We were left with nothing but a large bill and a dead cat. We were devasted. GET A SECOND OPINION if you go ANYWHERE. ASK QUESTIONS! Our mistake was rushing to help fix our cat and trust in our vet's recommendation.

This hospital saved my dog's life. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor and he is my best friend. They know that our pets are our family and treated him as such. His surgery was serious and although we were told he'd be in the hospital for only 3-4 days, he stayed for more than a week because they weren't comfortable releasing him. Brain surgery is serious and Dr. Berry is one of the only qualified Vet neurologists around. He will call back at all hours and answer questions no matter how dumb. It's been quite a while since his surgery and he's doing OK for such serious surgery, but he's still here to hug and that's all we could have asked for. The other doctors are extrememly knowlegeable in all kinds of veterinary care ranging from orthopedics to internal medicine. We've had our dogs treated here for arthritis and athletic injuries and they're doing great! Kudos to this hospital without them and their expertise, our dog wouldn't be alive today!

Took my dog in for gallbladder surgery. Vet released him to me the very next morning to take to my vet. My vet wanted to know why the other vet released him, stating he was in bad shape. I took my dog back to the vet that did the surgery. He stayed there for 7 days. I saw him go down hill, day after day. Did they not see the major decline? My dog did not eat for 7 days. The vet kept telling me all he needed was a transfusion or this or that and then he would be fine. The vet would call me at 11:00pm everynight to give me updates and woke me up each time. After running up $11,000 in credit card charges for this vet, he could not give me a positive outlook for my dogs recovery. My dog was slowly dying, yet every day they kept telling me he was doing fine. I feel that all they were looking for was to get as much money as they could. My dog was put to sleep on the 8th day. It kills me to think of the suffering he went through, and how much was charged for the treatment.
