The low rating of this clinic doesn't reflect current circumstances. The ownership has changed. All the negative comments relate to the original vet, Dr Topolie. I liked Dr Topolie and his care of my dog was first rate. He had 40 years of experience. The new vet is Dr Yessa. This vet is simply outstanding. His care of my old Golden was very kind and very competent. At the time of this writing there were 3 vets working at this clinic, Dr Yessa and two vets from Columbia who were working towards their Ontario certification. The collective amount of knowledge here is truly impressive. In the end Dr Yessa and one of his Columbian colleagues came to my home and euthanized my dog, saving him from a painful death. It was all done with warmth, dignity and professionalism. I highly recommend this clinic. If I could ever bring myself to get another dog, this place would be my first choice.

Great first visit for us and our puppy, Dougie. The entire staff made a fuss over him and he truly was welcomed. Very thorough examination along with professional advice and discussion. Thanks for all!

My old cat was really sick, I took her to the clinic to find that she has kidney failure. Dr.Abraam sit with me and explain everything slowly then he gave me some options. we started the treatment and thx God my babe is coming back to herself, Highly recommend

I highly recommend Wilson Road clinic, my 18 years old cat was really sick and i felt that`s her time. So I called them for a house call, The girl over the phone was really nice and they book me an appointment for the same day. The vet came to my house and sedate the cat then put my cat to sleep and she went peacefully, They are really professional and with very good prices.

Wilson hospital is now the best in Oshawa after the new vets purchased it. They are taking a good care of my 2 kitty’s . Very friendly and compassionate staff and vets. Highly recommend

Thank you so much for the friendly, fear-free environment. We really appreciated Dr. Yessa's knowledge and advice and willingness to spend so much time with us in answering our questions. The new management and the vets were so friendly and welcoming to us and our puppy. We highly recommend Wilson Road Veterinary Clinic

I took my dog here when she got stung by a bee (I didn't know this is what happened prior) first off this entire vet visit was extreamly traumatic for myself and my dog. The vet here was very rough with my small dog. He told me nothing about what he was doing or the prices. He very aggressively stuck his finger up my dogs rear end and unsurprisingly my dog scratched him in which he then proceeded to clip her nails (without asking me and then charged for me it) he cut her nails short to the point where they began bleeding. Everytime I tried to say something about him being rough with her he dismissed me like I was an idiot. I was charged over 200 dollars for one shot to reduce swelling and possible reaction to the bee sting and the nail clipping. Then he proceeded to try and tell me I need to bring my cats in here too. Way over priced, rude, and does not treat your pet well. I will never go back here and donr recommend this place to anyone.

My family has brought all of our animals to Dr. Topolie, and I don't think we've ever had a bad experience. Most recently, my 6 month old dog had an operation, and she's totally back to normal in less time then I expected. Staff are great, price, I'm not exactly sure, as I don't have a comparison. The building is a bit old, but it does the job as intended. He has been recommended to friends and family.

Im surprised but any bad experiences, we recently changed vet sues to location and we are in love with the team and clinic. I think they are well rounded, honest, positive, informative and caring. Im truly sorry for anyone who looses a fur baby, as we have also been through a loss. But this team is caring and I feel truly wants best for your fur family.

We have been taking our two 6 year old pugzus to Dr Topolie since they were puppies. He is very experienced, compassionate and our dogs love him. The office staff are friendly and accommodating. I was very surprised by the negative reviews.

Took my cat in last summer because she was wheezing and I thought it might be asthma. He started pulling out tufts of fur and told me I was mistreating her for not brushing her (actually, she was stressed, and CATS SHED.) Then told me I was diagnosing her, and her wheezing was from feeding her meow mix and that I should feed her Iams (of course he sells Iams in his office!). He berated me for interrupting him when I probably asked one question the entire time I was there. I understand needing to be abrupt with people but he is just plain rude and has no people skills. I will never take my pets here and I will tell everyone to stay very clear of this clinic.

I have read all the reviews before posting mine. I agree with some that he can tell you alot about things you did not come in for. Talks a lot and can offend some people. I personally liked him as his style is to tell you what he believes to be. Gives lots of advise. Cost, not sure what to compare his price too. Facilities need an upgrade or just be fixed. The plaza also is falling apart. Overall Dr diserves a 5 rating for all services including knowledge. He knows his stuff, 40 plus years! Shawn

I was a bit put off by the negative comments but I have seen so many vets in Toronto, NYC, Florida and San Francisco- living and traveling with two dogs with health issues over the years, I have a medical background and can handle myself well, so I thought I would check him out since he's the closest. I have a new puppy- my two older dogs have passed. Honestly- this vet is great! He's no BS but in no way rude or abrupt. He's honest, evidence based, absolutely fine handling my tiny puppy. I really don't get what the bad reviews were about. I have seen all sorts of vets who try to pull fast ones, upsell, fear monger, and are just incompetent and this vet tried none of those things and he was good. I totally recommend him. And staff was great.

I recently had to put my loving dog to sleep by this Horrible man. My heart was breaking when we took her in for that final Good-bye. My wonderful daughter went with me & Thank God! The Vet had actually left for the day? After calling him back he walked in the office without a word ..Nothing? My daughter & I were in tears & this was a disgusting display of insensitivity knowing why we were there. He never did speak a word only to tell us he would give Mya 2 needles. My dog was scared & I hugged her the entire time unable to stop my tears. After he gave her the sedative he said to watch she doesn't fall off table & left. The receptionist entered & asked me to 'settle up' before proceeding? I had to leave her & go pay first for procedure & my dog had added stress that I left the room. My daughter said she tried to jump down.AN ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT THIS WILSON ROAD VETERINARY CLINIC. I paid & returned to hold her until she passed. In ALL that he never spoke one kind word to Mya

I can understand people being a little put-off by Dr. Topolie's no-nonsense style. He tells it as it is, but also tries to inform his clients on how to better take care of their pet. This can sometimes come off a little brazen, but he's an experienced veterinarian, forty years under his belt. I'm sure that he knows EXACTLY what your/our pet needs. I am completely satisfied with his services. He praises when praise is due, and kindly corrects when you are doing something wrong. Sometimes it may seem like you're being scolded, but really, he knows what he's talking about. He was NOT careless or too rough with my dog, so I don't know what all that is about. My rating is 5 stars. He's an awesome vet.

Wow! I cannot believe the previous comments with regards to Dr. Topoli's expertise and handling of animals. My family members have been clients of Wilson Rd Veterinary Clinic for more than ten years, referred there by another long term client. The Dr. was very thorough on diagnosing and treating animal illness, where others had failed to do so. Prior to Wilson Rd Clinic I had been to two other clinics in the Oshawa/Whitby area where the Dr's had misdiagnosed symptoms of a very sick "puppy" who then lived to be 15 yrs. I highly recommend Dr. Topoli to anyone who wants the expertise.

I took my cat there just once. Both my treatment and my boys treatment was inexcusable. The vet wrapped a noose around his neck to restrain him! I did contact the College of Vet.Medicine and this vet was repromanded, but my boy was traumatized and has been a trazmanine devil at vet's ever since.

I took my dog in for 2nd shots, and chose this vet office only because it was the cheapest (shots are shots). The secretary was absolutely great, but the vet knew less than I did and he kept rambling about silly things. I won't take my dog here for actual vet care. I guess you get what you pay for though, however I would have been better off stating that I just needed shots, not the info given.

Dr. was rude. I ended up paying over $800. for a dehydrated cat, whom they insisted remain 3 days overnight at their clinic. They told me if I took her home, it would be "cruel" of me. They also ran expensive tests and told me my cat had "brain damage and would never be the same". This ended up being untrue. They used guilt and scare tactics that were unnecessary, due to my emotional state over my cat.

when I called they quoted me $60. for check up and 1st shots then when we visited the vet added extras but did not tell me they were not part of the check up so I ended up paying $120 instead of the $60 quoted

Vet made a comment to me that was totally inappropriate (and for which I told him so and he didn't even acknowledge what I had said nor apologize). Gave no meds for my pet's pain. Constanly interrupted when I tried to speak. Short hours. Had to wait unnecessarily long for a callback re. results. Physically handled my pet too aggressively.
