Dr. Franczuszki and his nurse/assistant, Leann are wonderful! My mini dachshund required a TPLO of his patella in 2008 at the age of 3 years old. He was well- taken care of and I was frequently updated on his progress during and after surgery. Leann and Dr. F treat the animals with care and compassion and seemed to be able to put my dog at ease. They actually care!!!

My dog sees Dr. Brady Beale and we love her. She is so kind to my dog and to me. She is attentive to what I say and answeres all my questions to my satisfaction. My dog also lost an eye and Dr. Beale removed it. The surgery was seemless and my dog recovered nicely. As far as prices go it is VERY pricy. Having said that, these are specialists for your dog and the facility is open 24/7.

Run, don't walk! Dietrich Francszuszki killed my dog between Christmas 2010 and New Year 2011. My dog fell on the ice and dislocated a hip with no fracture. He insisted he had to do surgery and 2 days after discharge my dog died a horrific death from pneumonia. He was sent home without antibiotics and the day before discharge one of the nurses felt that something was not right with his left lung and had an x-ray taken but did not inform me even when I picked him up. Basically my dog was discharged with pneumonia caused by their incompetence and this guy has a history of infections with surgical patients, I learned since.

Greatly overpriced. Charged $100 just for a 5:30 PM appoint, for which they, not me, were an hour late. Diagnosed dog with specific type of cancer, even though cannot determine type of cancer just from an ultra-sound. Told me to put down dog in next 3 or 4 days. That was 8 months ago and dog is doing great under another vet's care. Avoid Dr. Stallings like the plague. This place is terrible.

I had a similar experience with Bagshaw. She refused to understand my desire to only provide palliative care, while telling me that my dog most likely had cancer. Incidently, it is over 12 weeks and the dog is stable. Most succumb within 4-6 weeks. When I admitted my dog to the hospital, they told me that he would be seeing a neurologist. Only after I declined the $1200 biopsy did she tell me that they did not have a neurologist on staff. When I went to her superior, Burkett, he said: "you are so concerned about your dog but you didn't do anything to find out what is wrong with him" . It is apparant, by my experience and the many negative reviews, that this hospital's MO is to berate distressed pet owners into paying large sums for diagnostic testing. I am suing them for deceptive and unfair business practices. anyone with a grievance is welcome to contact me: kdtomo@comcast.net

I saw Dr Jennifer Bagshaw and she is only in this for the money. It was quite apparent that she could care less about the well-being of my pet. She only works a few days a week and seems to think that the entire world revolves around her schedule. She was never available to speak on the phone unless it was during the time she called me, which wasn't always when I was available. So she would go several days and not call me even though she knew my pet was extremely sick and dying. She pushed lots of tests that were unnecessary because that is her easy money. And no matter how many times I tried to question why she wanted to do those tests she couldn't give me a good answer. She doesn't seem to build on her experiences to point you in a direction but instead expects those who are distraught over the sickness of their animal to just do what she says. She's very difficult to deal with, probably because she doesn't care much about the animals, just the money.

My dog has undergone 3 surgeries here and I can't speak highly enough about the doctors and the staff. Skilled, kind, so help in a frightening time. My dog couldn't be in better hands.

We were referred to VRC to get an ultrasound for our beagle. Initial process went fine. Ultrasound revealed a mass in her anal sach and the recommendation was for immediate removal. We were initially advised that the cost of surgery would be $1,200. Within minutes the price went up to $1,700-$1,800. Recommended that we have the consultation with the surgeon while we were there for a $145 consultation fee. We decided that we would call back so we could talk to our vet first. We called back and were referred to surgical vets assitant to schedule procedure. She stated price would be between $2,400 up to $3,400,(same day) and did not clarify the spread. We postponed any work until we had a clear price estimate. We never heard back from anyone after calling several times and finally went to Metropolitan Vet Associates. We had an itemized estimate in 5 minutes. Beagle is recovering well. Who needs the xtra stress when you are so worried about your pet. Horrible business practice.
