Click to report rating    2/10/20   1     2     2     1   We took our pet to this clinic last year. Dre. Tamara Cohen was adequate as far as taking care of him, but her people skills, or lack thereof, are atrocious! She was extremely aloof and cold. Put a chill right through us. We will NEVER go back there again. It took my wife and I quite some time to shake off this bad experience and we are both pretty easy going people. It is still upsetting thinking about her all this time later. RID: 69041
Click to report rating    4/12/17   2     3     2     2   I agree with the previous rating, I had the exact same experience. Wanted to transfer my current dog's paperwork here after moving to St. Lazare. The receptionist is beyond rude, would not look at our paperwork, insisted on a full first appointment to 'check' our dog. Our dog is fine! All paperwork up to date, just wanted to open a file for the yearly shots visit. I'm sure the person who wrote that the DR's are nice actually see's a Dr. I was not paying for a full appointment just to meet a doctor for a future check-up. Unfortunately, your business is represented by the first person people are greeted by when coming in the door. This clinic's greeter made me turn around and walk out. Rude and pushy. Don't charge people for something they don't need! RID: 63323
Click to report rating    2/7/17   2     3     3     2   My husband & I took our dog here after moving to St. Lazare, we had her full records from her previous vet. I had the same problem as other people, the receptionist is extremely rude, insisted on a full appointment for a check up, bloodwork which was NOT needed. Would not look at the fact that she was up to date on her shots etc. We wanted to book a nail clipping and initial "Hello" visit! We walked out and will not recommend this Vet Clinic to anyone. Click to report rating    1/27/15   5     5     5     5   When I brought my Oliver to see Dre.Renaud last week, I was blown away with her kindness and quick follow-up. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Very satisfied!!! RID: 55638
Click to report rating    1/26/15   5     5     5     5   Amazing clinic, I have been going there for over 10 years and they take care of my pets as if they were their own. RID: 55625
Click to report rating    10/28/14   1     4     3     3   I took my cat to St. Lazare vet clinic a few years ago as he was off his food and acting very strangely - it was sudden onset as well and I was very worried. Dr. Morel diagnosed him with 'constipation' and sent me home with a human version of a laxative. He got no better and within six hours I had him a DMV where he was diagnosed with RAT POISON OVERDOSE. He had to be put down, but I grieve at the knowledge that he lived for another eight hours in complete pain. Words cannot describe..... Further, my dog was a patient there (had records etc) and was taken there as he had wandered from home and a good samaritan picked him up and took him to said animal clinic. Despite him having his NAME AND PHONE NUMBER EMBROIDERED ON HIS COLLAR, they did not call. Never again will I take an animal there. Some of the vets are quite good, but others... ;( RID: 54322
2/21/14   1     2     3     1   DO NOT BRING YOUR PET THERE. We got our first pet dog an thought we could trust the Vet and what a mistake. Dr Morel does not do thourough analysis and is very laid back...Maybe she's due for retirement??? My dog was very sick and she didn't look at all the signs of his deterioring health. He was dehydrated and weak and she said to try to give him water and to come back in 2 weeks. The next day my dog was hospitalized (I went to another vet)and he was diagnosed with a serious health condition. He had been sick for several months and we went to the vet monthly and were told he was just a picky eater and thats why he was skipping meals and he was vomitting because he licked things outside like branches and it was nothing to worry about. In the meanwhile he had a life threatning health problem, which the other vet diagnosed within a few hours. Since then, when sharing my experiences with several people, many responded that they got the same treatment at this clinic. RID: 49977
Click to report rating    11/16/13   5     5     5     4   We were surprised to read the previous comments. We moved here a year ago and have found Dr. Morin and Dr. Belanger to be both kind, caring and knowledgable. Our dog has been receiving excellent care. RID: 48293
Click to report rating    3/5/13   1     3     2     2   After moving to Saint Lazare we needed to find a closer vet for our dog, we did a drop in visit to gather info & make an app't as a new client. The front desk person was extremely rude, treating us like we are first time dog owners, insisted on a full first check-up including bloodwork etc. Our dog is healthy, we were only looking to set-up a new file and transfer her current paperwork until she needed her yearly check-up and shots. Even though we spoke English upon entering & explained to the clerk that french is our second language she still insisted on speaking French even after my husband asked her to speak in English. As an older woman you would think she would have respect & understanding for new clients as well as current. From other neighbours I have gathered that this is NOT the Vet Clinic to take your animal to. We are very happy with our new Vet at Hudson Animal Hospital! RID: 40856
Click to report rating    4/25/10   1     2     2     1   My cat had a urinary track infection for which they did blood tests, x rays,2 days of hospitalization, IV. They refused to do a urine culture, which is what I was suggesting, and refused to give my cat antibiotics saying that it would make my cat worse. My cat was hospitalized for two days until I demanded that they administer antibiotics. Two hours after the antibiotic injection my cat was home and feeling great. They are either incompetent or out to scan the customer at the expense of the poor animal. RID: 17678
