Brought my dog here for an emergency and they had us wait approximately one hour before taking him in. Then, after waiting another hour they told us the Dr. wasn't in and nothing could be done until the morning. They also wanted $2500-3000 for the surgery and told us a local vet won't be able to do the surgery. My local vet opens before the Dr. would be back so we brought him home anyway. The visit plus the E-collar cost us $300. Next morning we brought him in to see our local vet and a few hours and $400 later he was stitched up and ready to come home. She said it was a simple stitching and that even a tech should have been able to perform it. The only reason why it costed so much ($400) was because she had put my pup under since he was too excited to sit still.

Let's be clear, when you finally get to a doctor, their usually quite good, if extremely pricey. However, their administration and treatment of their clients is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I have spent about $100,000 with RBVH over the last 5 years for four special needs dogs. For one dog, that would have a monthly prescription bill of over $250/month, I have been going to a CanadaDrug supplier, that will give the same meds at about $40/mos.
We had personally taken a script for a 3 months supply and sent it to Canada drug. When that ran out, CanadaDrug said they would fax a renew request to Dr. Ringel. I called both Dr. Ringel and the RBVH pharmacy and let them know this was coming, and if there were any problems, to please give me a call. No call, no problems, right? WRONG.
About a week later I called CanadaDrug to verify the script had been filled. They said, no, the Dr. Ringel requires that you come in.
Now, that's fine, but wouldn't you think they might have the decenc

No point in writing my story again because it gets flagged by someone at RB and then deleted. Just a warning if your pet "walks out", consider yourself fortunate. They are all incompetent!!!and have never made a correct diagnoses. Stay away from this place if you value your pets life.

UPDATE: I brought the cat to my regular vet the next day and he felt a dead fetus inside of her that was confirmed by an Xray. The Dr at RBVH did a thorough examination AND A SONOGRAM and told me there was nothing!!! Gross Incompetence.
OP: All this place cares about is money. I brought a foster cat in for an emergency visit and they kept asking me if I was going to "accept responsibility" even though I told them up front that I was going to pay for the care. I waited for almost an hour while the one Dr on duty took care of more important emergencies. An hour!! For an emergency!!!! I asked them if they were going to charge me less since they treated me like I was less of an emergency, and the receptionist got very rude with me. They may be open 24 hours, but if you value your pet's life, DO NOT GO HERE FOR AN EMERGENCY. Your pet might die waiting.

I am a veterinarian in Canada. I sent my dog to Red Bank for cancer treatment and I was very impressed with the knowledge, compassion and professional attitude of the vets and staff. Dr. Siobhan Haney went above and beyond to help me and my dog and provided excellent care. Because of Red Bank I have had a happy dog again! I recommend them to anyone who has a pet who needs to see a specialist. I just wish they were not so far away so I could refer my patients to them!

For the care you get, the hospital is excellent. From the front desk staff to the cleaning staff. Would never go anywhere else

the dentist here was terrible. he spoke to me like i was an idiot, he was not very gentle when he handled my pet and he charged an outrageous amount of money i will never go back to him ever again!
