Vet got mad when I didn't to send my dog for surgery to put a pin in her toe. Estimate was $1250-1500. So he reluctantly put a cast on it. When I called a week later, Robin, his receptionist, told my wife to take him to Nashua animal hospital. We did, and they took the cast off and said it was okay, and could not believe Dr. McAroy would recommend surgery. A couple of weeks earlier, he quoted us $1250-1500 to remove a fatty tumor. We had it removed @ tyngsboro animal hospital for $350. $1250-1500 seems to be Lowell rd.'s pat price!!!

Brought my cat in for a declaw and they gave me an estimate for $330 with a rabbies vaccination as well. I said, "lets do it" and they told me to come by 10ish the next morning. I get a fairly rude phone call at 9:45am the next day saying they CLOSE at 10:00 and I had to come pick up my cat or else they'd charge me to keep him there over the weekend. I live only a few miles away so I went right over. I get there and they handed me the bill for $560! I couldn't believe it. They went more than $200 over THEIR estimate! They said they gave him "extra" pain meds which was an "extra" $50. Charged me for two "Doctor Checks" at $55 each. And on top of everything, it doesn't seem like they let him out of his little crate the whole night because he was covered in his own**** and pee when I let him out in my car (he likes to look out the window). I will NEVER return to this horrible place. A little bit over an estimate is fine, but more than $200 is absolutely unexceptable. THUMBS WAY DOWN :(

Dr McAroy is a very fast talker and just as fast in examining. He dowsn't give you time to talk and doesn't ask if you have any questions! I brought my dog in for a yearly exam and vaccine visit. He told me my dog had 6 weeks to live due to a cancer he wasn't sure she had. I told him that I didn't want her to have any vaccines at that point, but he told me he already gave them! See how fast he is???? I didn't even see him give those vaccines, (I must have blinked!!)so therefore, I don't know that she even got them! I would not suggest this man to anybody that loves their animal!

None of the staff introduced themselves. They gave our pup a treat without asking. The first thing the vet did was tell us how smart he is and how stupid dog breeders are, which we found offensive as we are quite fond of our breeder. The vet was not knowledgeable on recommended obedience classes in the area. And the worst part is when we called to make the appointment they told us they had a specific vaccine we needed but once we were there they did not have it, and they did not seem overly bothered that they had lied to and inconvenienced us. This is my first dog, and therefore was my first visit to a vet ever so i have nothing to compare it to, but we will definitely go somewhere else next time.
