Vet seems quite friendly until you have an emergency. Then she is not available. Has receptionist phone with results. You can never speek to her by phone. Never responds if she can help it. Over medicated my cat with meds intended for dogs. Pharmacist in Guelph who filled prescription phoned me because she was concerned and said that meds prescribed was only used for dogs. I had to actually go to King St. Hospital to get an answer because she would not respond to phone call. That's when I changed vets. They took my cat off the "dog" meds immediately. If you value the life of your cat DO NOT go here.

I am shocked by the negative reviews, I have been going to this clinic for almost 10 years. I love my cats very much and would trust them with no one else. Everyone at this clinic is knowledgable and truly cares about cats. My cats love Dr. McRae and she cares about them

Fantastic experience at this clinic. My cat has never been so relaxed at a vet. In the past blood collections have been very stressful for her but the vet and staff here handled it like pros. They are clearly very caring. The vet was very knowledgeable and was able to quickly recommend the correct blood profile needed to diagnose my cat. Prices are reasonable for the service received.

My 6 cats have had excellent care over the past 14 years. The vet and staff are compassionate and knowledgeable. Their patients are their first priority. They specialize in feline care and do everything they can to help. They are both kind and professional.

We have been clients at this clinic for over 10 years and I am actually surprised at the tone and content of the negative comments here. The staff and receptionist are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable/trained. Two vet techs also work at the Emergency Clinic and one of the technicians is a new Canadian & Vet recertifying in Canada. We have always received the very best care for our cats here. The Vet only practices feline medicine, keeps up to date with courses and she is very experienced and knowledgeable in treating and diagnosing conditions specific to cats. Dr. McRae explains everything very clearly and takes the time to discuss the various options for treatment which is important when you have senior and geriatric cats at home. It is also great to go to a clinic where your nervous cats are gently handled and you don't have to worry about noisy dogs nosing your cat's carrier in the reception area. I would highly recommend this Vet and clinic. Love the clinic cats too!

It's mind blowing how this clinic remains open. Priced out of business almost entirely. "Cat Specialist" I call phoney. I'm not worried about money when it comes to my animals but you have to provide the service to back it up and this clinic does NOT deliver. Pushing Hills diet when I asked for alternatives she scoffed. When I was called with my kitty's lab results the girl could barely pronounce the medical terms (I AM a lab tech)...out of curiosity I asked how long the tech had been out of school and it turns out she wasn't a tech at all...with prices like yours I doubt your that busy that you need your uneducated kennel staff to do your blood work call backs. I now go to Mackay up the road MUCH better service

This doctor is all about one thing... MONEY!! She tried to make me give my kitten unproven vaccines. When I said no, she tried 3 more times to give them to him! She became rude and beligerant when I told her I did not want to feed my pet any food with corn (I feed raw- and Im an animal nutritionist). I go to the vet for medical advice not nutritional advice. I wouldn't trust her medical opinion anyways! Who insists on making people give their pets unproven vaccines? Oh, people who stand to make lots of money off them hmmmm...

My elderly cat was eauthanized recently at the clinic. The veterinarian and her staff were kind, compassionate and very professional. I highly recommend King Stree Cat Hospital.

I think you should put a lot of judgement into how content the cats in the clinic are... That black cat is the most laid back, comfortable cat I have ever seen. Great job guys.

Have only had positive experiences with service and staff. They may be a busy clinic but they've always gone out of their way to assist my cats and have taken every effort to provide the needed care.

I can't speak more highly of this clinic! The professional evidence based care our kitties have received has consistently been outstanding. The team is clearly dedicated to this amazing special group of animals. Unfortunately a number of years ago it took me visiting a couple of other vets in the Whitby and Brooklin area to find King Street, but am so happy that we have received both regular and urgent care from this amazing team.

I have never gone back. I took my cat there as she developed a limp. To this day I don't know the results of the x-rays. Each time I phoned, the vet. was not available to speak to me. I phoned several times, and my calls were never returned.

I would not recommend this clinic to anyone. They are way over priced for what you get. The staff has no idea what they are talking about, the technicians are untrained and the "doctor" is nuts!!! She is never there when you need her, I have been referred to other clinics on more than one occasion due to her "not being in today" and having no one to cover her clients.

Very expensive clinic, the doctor says she is a cat specialist, but when I asked her what credentials she had, she could not produce any. One of my cats was quite ill, she had the technician call me to discuss the blood results, and the girl was clueless. Ended up having to take the cat to another vet clinic, that CORRECTLY diagnosed my cat and did not try to make me spend huge amounts of money without justifying it.

King St. Cat Hospital has been looking after my babies for years! The staff are wonderful, and make me feel like family. Dr. McRae practices only the best medicine, and always goes above and beyond if my cats need attention. I have been to a few other clinics and have never found this kind of attention or medicine. Definately recommend them!
