Click to report rating    9/4/22   5     5     5     5   Crestwood has been our on and off clinic for many years now, they have at some point taken care of all of our dogs. The vet techs, reception and doctors are top notch and specifically Dr Doug who is our primary vet there is a compassionate vet he made himself available for questions and other concerns even on a long weekend. He helped us say goodbye to one of our pups in our home in the most loving and compassionate manner. And right now as we fight cancer with our girl his calm manner has been very appreciated. The cost is comparable to most other vet clinics but the value of wonderful staff is priceless. RID: 70429
Click to report rating    4/1/21   1     3     1     3   The clinic staff did not acknowledge my concern with the dog even after bring it back 3 times for the same reason the cast.. Now the dog has a very bad bruise on the paw it loose its complete skin because the bad cast. they never call us for the covid closure and we have to deal with the sick dog in whatever way we can. Other clinics do not take us because of fear of covid contact. Very disappointment at the professionalism of this staff. RID: 69890
Click to report rating    4/18/20   5     5     5     5   This is a marvelous practice with very educated vets and staff. My husband's wolf hybrid developed a mammary cancer and Dr.Todd took aggressive steps to save her by performing a life saving surgery to remove the cancerous mammary chain thus giving her more time than she would have had. He is an extraordinary vet. When the time came that no more could be done, Dr. Todd with the upmost of compassion put her to sleep. We received a lovely card afterwards signed and personalized by all of the staff with some cards with prints of her paws and a little baggy with clippings of her hair. So very, very kind. RID: 69192
Click to report rating    10/1/18   5     5     5     5   I would recommend DR. PAT KUBIK and DR. DOUG HEFFELFINGER to anyone. Although t other Vets at the Clinic, I have always been lucky to see both. I have had nothing short of wonderful care from these two caring and compassionate people. RID: 66854
Click to report rating    12/23/16   5     5     5     5   I cannot praise this clinic and Dr. Todd Scott enough. Dr. Scott is absolutely brilliant and outstandingly talented. He's done a TPLO on our dog and she runs and jumps like it never happened. They are great with emergencies, compassionate and I just don't know what I'd do without them. Thank you for all you do! RID: 62247
Click to report rating    11/19/16   5     5     5     5   We had to have our cat of 19 years put down today, and I have to say that this clinic is the best I have ever had to deal with. They were so compassionate and so very easy to deal with. There rates are far better than the other clinics we checked out. I do have to admit I read reviews prior to booking the appointment and I will be taking my dog there despite having a clinic up the road. I loved there attitude, they really seemed to care about the pets and explained it all prior to doing anything. They gave my husband & I time to grieve before leaving. I am not one for writing reivews but really had to share our experience with this clinic. Its not about money its about the animals. They took what we said and didn't offer to do more test before putting her down. It was heart renching but a good experience with them. RID: 62043
Click to report rating    12/20/15   5     5     4     4   I'm not normally a person to write reviews, but I am a cat lover, and I just read a really poor review of my vet, Dr. Andrea Pellegrino. I've been taking my cats to Crestwood for over a decade and they have seen every vet there, but have just recently started with Dr. Pellegrino. We recently had the exact opposite experience to the negative review - our much-beloved 16-year-old cat looked like he had reached his limit, and Dr. Pellegrino went above and beyond to suggest alternatives for him. Thanks specifically to her, and her obvious caring and commitment to her furry patients, we now get more time with our Monty and we are beyond thankful for everything she has done. You are in good hands with Dr. Pelligrino - she is an amazing vet and I can't say enough good things about her. RID: 59310
10/19/15   1     1     1     1   I have been taking my dog to annual exams at this clinic for the lifetime of my dog, but only when my dog and I needed them most--did they COMPLETELY FAIL US. Not only did they hire a completely INCOMPETENT and INEXPERIENCED doctor recently, but they hired a UNCARING one. That doctor's name is DR. ANDREA PELLEGRINO. She has only graduated THIS YEAR, 2015. I trusted her with my dog's life--and that was the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE since she KILLED him with an OVERDOSE of injections. She has NO COMPASSION at all for animals, because she had no compassion for my dog when he was dying because of her. She only PUSHED us to kill him even FASTER so she could be FREE OF ANY RESPONSIBILITIES and CHARGE US EXTRA MONEY one last time. RID: 58730
Click to report rating    6/15/15   5     5     5     5   I was referred here by my regular veterinarian for a crucial tear, and he needed a special surgery only a couple people can do. That is where we met Dr Scott and his team and they are truly amazing. From start to finish they were there for us every step of the way. If you ever need surgery, I highly recommend you talk to them. RID: 57416
Click to report rating    4/16/15   5     5     5     5   Amazing service, facilities, staff and care!! I recently switch vet and decided to go to Crestwood as they had very good reviews. When I called to enquire about teeth extraction for my cat they were able to booked me in within a day. The staff is very friendly, they take the time to explain procedures required . I met Dr. Lisa Gruber who genuinely cared for my pet and answered all of my questions. My cat previously had teeth extracted 8 months prior at a different clinic and I had kept the X-rays, Dr Lisa did not make me pay for more X-ray and blood work but rather suggested for my file to be transferred from the other clinic. Which definitely lowered the cost of the procedure. After the exam they even boarded my cat for free to save me another trip and were able to booked the surgery the next day. Brandi one of the Animal Health Technologist staff Did a phenomenal job at iexplaining how the surgery went, how to administer the antibiotics etc I strongly recommend this place! RID: 56676
Click to report rating    3/11/15   4     5     4     5   Dr. Todd Scott is one of the best most educated vets in all of my experience. I'm from the Boston area, up in Edmonton. He cared for my Cairn, 13 years of age, with one kidney, atypical cushings. I'd taken her to the best in the world in the states, Angel Memorial, Tufts Animal hospital. HIs care was comparable if not exceeding these. She lived to 13 despite all of her health issues. At the end Dr. Scott did everything humanly possible to save her. So I"ve no regrets. It was her time. RID: 56223
Click to report rating    2/6/15   1     1     1     1   I asked the doctor about docking a tail on my dog the conversations is as follows: Jodie Yes, we do dock tails here. Unfortunately, once they are passed the age of 5 days old it is no longer considered a tail dock, it is actually a tail amputation. The amputation requires a full anesthetic, complete with IV fluids, pre anesthetic blood work, an epidural and several kinds of medications to help control pain and possible infection. The approximate cost of this procedure will be $1000.00. If the tail is not causing her any problems and you just want it removed for esthetic reasons, I'd definitely recommend leaving it. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us at (780)444-7550. Jodie R.A.H.T My response: Wow...:.....double the cost of several others. Thanks for the scare tactics or the polite way of saying no. I spent $2200 on my dog so another $1000 isn't going to phase on me. Anesthesia is based on the dogs weight and not once did you as RID: 55796
Click to report rating    1/26/15   5     5     4     5   Highly recommend this clinic. my current vet me in tears saying that my dog would need surgery after an injury or we might as well put him down. I called this clinic because they had a surgeon that new about the type of injury. He was great in giving me various options that didn't mean surgery! I'm so relieved that there are still vets that actually care about animals. RID: 55626
Click to report rating    2/19/14   4     5     4     4   We have been going to this clinic for a little under a year now. I love all of the services the clinic offers, including physiotherapy and chiropractic care. Penny the physiotherapist is wonderful! Dr. H has been great with us, always taking the time to answer all of our questions, calling us when we need him, and providing top notch care for our dogs. Pat is a great receptionist. She will squeeze you in if you really need your dog to see someone, and she is a joy to talk to. We have had some rather not so nice experiences at the clinic, though. A vet tech was very rude to me one day in front of the entire waiting room and staff and one vet neglected to offer me certain services because he/she assumed I could not afford it, both of which I didn't really appreciate. Sometimes the wait times are a bit long, and the services are a little more expensive than some other clinics in the city. Overall, the good has really outweighed the bad and we are happy to have found Crestwood and Dr. H. RID: 49942
Click to report rating    11/2/13   3     4     4     4   We have been fairly satisfied with our pets' veterinarian, but the visits are generally quite stressful due to the inefficient and often not very friendly office staff, and the poor parking situation. Why must the office staff park as close to the door as they can get and make the clients with pets circle the clinic vainly in search of a spot? All other places I had gone to had a rule for their staff to leave the nearest parking spaces for the paying clients. RID: 48021
Click to report rating    6/1/13   5     5     4     5   I have just recently switched to this clinic as my dog was given incorrect medication by his previous vet clinic which has resulted in lasting health conditions. Dr. Scott and Dr. McIver have been very patient with me and my dog as this process has been very stressfull. I am sure I have been difficult to deal with, and none of the staff have even so much as batted an eyelash at me. Dr. Scott came highly recommended by several friends and he has not disappointed. RID: 42863
Click to report rating    1/12/13   5     5     3     5   I have had consistently positive experiences dealing with Dr. Machum (who is my cat's regular vet) and Dr. Scott (who has seen her on a semi-emergency basis to check on an infected surgical site-- they treated her and kept her in the clinic for the day when I couldn't miss work). They are both fantastic. The front office seems a bit disorganized at times, but otherwise I've been nothing but happy with Crestwood Veterinary Clinic. They also made a follow-up call to me after recieving records from an emergency clinic I had to take my cat to after I thought she had ingested human medication to check to see how she was doing. RID: 39570
Click to report rating    8/2/12   5     5     5     5   Great service from all the staff. Dr. Scott is a great vet! RID: 36215
Click to report rating    7/16/12   3     2     3     3   Very unorganized. Perhaps separate desks for people checking in and people checking out. They almost needed a number system there today. Staff is very nice but chatted to much with customers when the line up was out the door. RID: 35685
Click to report rating    2/22/12   5     5     4     5   I was referred to Dr. Scott from my neighbor and nearly every second person I met at the dog park. I have been an animal lover all my life and have dealt with numerous vets. He is truly a gifted, talented carrying man. And quite frankly the best veterinarian I have ever met. RID: 32389
Click to report rating    7/10/08   4     4     4     5   We have taken our dogs to Dr. Todd Scott at Crestwood for 6 years. He has a true gift with animals and does examinations without the dogs even noticing. A great and caring vet and we would not trust our dogs to anyone else! RID: 9264
Click to report rating    1/19/08   5     5     5     4   I came to Dr. Mary Machum with a very sick shih tzu and she spent close to an hour with me on our first visit. Each and every time I have phoned this clinic the phone has been answered promptly and someone has helped me immediately. Dr. Machum has returned my calls on several occasions and has carefully answered all my questions very patiently. I am very happy with the service I receive here. RID: 7007
Click to report rating    11/15/07   5     5     5     5   Dr. Mary Machum is an incredible vet. My dog lived for over 17 years under her care. She used many tools to assess his health and thought very carefully before diagnosing him. She listen carefully to me and gave me treatment options. The entire facility is excellent. Sick and injured pets are constantly being brought to the clinic in all sorts of conditions, yet the staff is caring and knowledgable. They do a fantastic job. RID: 6444
Click to report rating    10/24/07   1     5     3     1   Dr Mary Machum is a terrible vet. She poisoned my cat with painkillers and did many other very questionable things while he was in her care until she finally killed him. The same thing happened to a friend of mine's cat with her. Avoid this clinic if you love your pet. RID: 6230
