Excellent care! We have used them for over 10 years and our dog has always received superb care. A recent surgery was done promptly and extremely well. Kudos especially to Dee for her compassion and caring. Pricey? Yes, but you can't beat the care.

The first time I took my girl here was to get a third opinion. The spca refused to spay my dog and told me she had a heart murmur which west mount ruled out (third vet opinion all said no). This was the only vet office who actually got my dog to run around and get her heart rate up before testing her. The staff and doctors are all loving, understanding and friendly. Their costs are slightly higher here compared to other local vets, however, the service that's provided I feel is sincere and not very rushed. I have been to 3 vets in the area and have stayed with westmount heights. I have two dogs and a calico that visit westheights and everytime it has been positive. If you can afford the higher costs with professional care and extremely experienced vets then this is the vet office for you. I've never had issues so far! I believe they are offering a free exam to new patients right now too :). If you want a vet that doesn't cut corners and knows their stuff then go here. Anna Gingrich

Ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous prices. Way off the charts in comparison with other vets! Took us a while to learn this but since then, we will never be back!!

We have been clients of Westmount Animal Hospital for many years. Every time we go in we treated very well. The vet costs are reasonable for the area. All the vets are great. We trust them and enjoy our experience every time. We highly recommend this vet hospital.

Things change. We miss "Dr. Jeff" . I know the cost of business but they seem to do a n "up sell" routine. I have a hard time trusting them now as they are too interested in bringing in revenue. Some kind of USA medical care plan has been introduced. This is Canada.There are emails and specials advertised on the sign outside. Yes the vets and staff are well trained but like I said we miss Dr. Jeff . Soon people will stop having pets as they can not pay for their medical needs. The animals will suffer and the vets will be even more money desperate. Too bad and sad. Oh for the old days.

We went to Westmount on a recommendation as "Dr Doodle" was the best (Cubitt), not only until talking to neighbours did we learn that he is no longer the owner and rarely practices there anymore..we were astonded by our fist 2 visit totals and then to get a spay estimate was absolutely ridiculous price (called around and compared!) We have since left and now deal with Dr Blackburn at Buck Animal Hospital and he is wonderful! Check around people and maybe when you get puppy prices for vaccines, ask what that surgery costs are!!

I've dealt with both Dr Cubitt (old owner who stills works there) and Dr Shany (new owner). I agree that Dr Cubitt is a lot more outgoing than Dr Shany however the care/compassion given is the same. The staff's great! I bring my dog and cat there and have for a long time. There's been a bit of a turn over in staff when Dr Shany first took over but the staff that is there now has not changed in 2 years. I want to give a particular shout out to Dr Wakeford. She is an incredible Dr that REALLY cares for her patients and takes the time to explain things to you. She reminds me of Dr Cubitt. I also want to say that they have a technician named Dee who is awesome. She has gone over and above her job to help my pets. The compassion and care she has given is so genuine. I love them both and so do my pets. As far as costs they are not the most expensive nor the cheapest and are pretty much on par with most clinics in the region. Just remember you get what you pay for. I'll never go anywhere else

I own my own small business and I know the costs involved in starting one up. I actually discussed the topic with the new owner and we had quite a nice chat. When you take the time to investigate and get an informed opinion, it is surprising what you may learn. I called other vet pratices in the area and the costs were very similar, some even higher! We have been coming to Westmount for many years and we will continue for many more, great hospital, highly recommend, our pets are treated the best!

I am not longer a client of this vet, in the last couple of years things have really gone downhill and the prices have risen a lot. They even called my parents when I had a vet bill that was a lot higher then I was expecting (like 300 more then I thought it was going to be and planned on. That visit cost me almost a 1000). I am now at another practice in Kitchener, I am a lot happier with the practice, and one of the old vets from Westmount owns and one of the old vet techs is working there now. It is a third of what Westmount charges. I agree look around people for a vet that cares about your beloved pets and not just about how much they are bringing home every day.

Westmount use o be a wonderful clinic with a "family-feel staff", Dr Cubitt was amazing and since he sold the practice we have noticed a huge turn around in staff (have seen a different vet the last 4 visits!) and the old staff are gone..except 2..geez, i think this tells you something!! So sad. Prices are rediculous now!! so different now with new faces all the time!

I agree with a lot of those posted previously. Dr. Cubitt was the greatest vet you could ask for and the new owners seem to be in it for profit without the compassion, caring and support that many of us were used to in the past. I have been going there for 20 years and am now looking for a new vet in the area.

We are very disappointed in the service since the takeover. We lost a beloved pet as there was "no time" available to squeeze her in to be seen. If she would have been seen, perhaps she would still be with us today. Also the prices for visits and procedures has gone up tremendously! Folks, check around for another vet. There are other very caring vets out there that provide excellent care and love to our members of our family and don't price gouge!

We are deeply disappointed by the change in service since ownership change. We moved to this clinic due to consistently high confidence levels by people we knew and found this to be very accurate. Since the transition our vet bills have gone out of site ( 3 dogs) and a recent negative operation result has forced us to seek alternate services. If you are looking for a Walk-in style clinic this wold be an okay service. If you are looking for consistency and good follow up with average customer service, look elsewhere.

My biggest issue with them is their customer service, when there is a problem they either ignore it, you have to suck it up and deal with it, or play constant phone tag with them (and never get ahold of anyone).

We have been going to this hospital for a number of years and I cannot tell you how happy we are with them. The staff is great, the vets are so thoughtful and caring. They have always treated our pets like they were one of their own. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone.

Best vet we have ever been to by far. The staff are very friendly and treat our dog great! Very knowledgeable and kind vets. The facilities are nice and clean. Great place!!
