Click to report rating    5/10/19   5     5     5     5   My animals are always treated with kindness and the best treatments. Very empathetic and caring. Will keep going here as long as I have my pets. RID: 68001
Click to report rating    3/2/17   5     5     5     5   These guys are fantastic. I've had nothing but a great experience with my golden at Kew Beach vet. Plus my dog loves their super chill and friendly office cat! RID: 62887
Click to report rating    4/18/16   2     3     2     1   A dishonest business that takes advantage of new pet owners by charging them exorbitant fees for what turned out to be a very minor problem with my dog. Very, very disappointed. RID: 60331
Click to report rating    3/25/15   2     3     3     1   I brought my sick dog there but there was nothing they could do to save him. He was 4 years old, strong healthy dog. He passed away in the clinic and they've charged me way too much and don't even want to disguise a discount. Dr. Nigel Skinner wrote: "I could, if you wished, go over what the cost would have been if everything done had been billed for. The total would likely be somewhere between double and triple what you finally paid." Thanks a lot! RID: 56414
Click to report rating    3/24/15   2     5     3     2   They are very quick to talk you into expensive tests/treatments that often end up being unnecessary. And you would think after dropping a couple thousand they might actually call you with the test results instead of acting annoyed when I call to follow up. RID: 56394
Click to report rating    3/19/13   5     5     5     5   I cannot help but to share my experience this past weekend with all pet owners! Sometimes the smallest and "seemed-unimportant" matters are actually the most important in the eyes of others. My 5 lb. Maltese was sick over the weekend and when Monday morning came, I picked up the phone as soon as the clock struck 8 and Amanda from Kew Beach Vet Hospital picked up the phone. From my past experience, when stores or clinics say they open at 8 a.m, there is nobody around to help you until 8:05 or 8:07 (you get my point). Not only they were on time opening up the phone lines, staff were friendly and understanding (on a Monday morning)! I got in to see Dr. Skinner that morning. Let me tell you - I have never looked so forward to seeing my vet. Dr. Skinner once again cured my Rocky and I am forever grateful. Having a pet is like having a child - there is nothing worse than feeling helpless & watching your pet suffer. Knowing Kee Beach Vet Hospital is a phone call away, I am very relieved:) RID: 41183
Click to report rating    2/23/13   2     4     4     1   The Veterinary didn't pick up on some symptoms of feline leukemia and FIV. I know this because I took my kitty to another vet for a second opinion. Sadly, the kitty has leukemia, so there's no saving him, but an earlier diagnosis couldn't allowed me to have palative care (antibiotics for his blood infection) administered earlier, making him more comfortable. This is why I've rated the monetary value as bad. The staff rating is slightly above because they were compassionate when booking the appointment, offering some advice, etc. I had no issues with the facilities or punctuality. I did feel the vet was in-and-out of the room too much, though. I want the vet to be focussed on my pet while we're there. RID: 40656
Click to report rating    10/22/12   5     5     4     4   My relationship with this Clinic pre-dates the current owner. When the previous Vet decided to sell his practice I was concerned that anyone taking over would be able to provide the superior service I had experienced with him and his staff. I am pleased to say that over the past 6 yrs since Nigel Skinner took over the practice he has managed to take the Clinic to a new level of service. A new upgraded location, hours of operation that make then very accessible, an engaging, friendly staff who are always concerned and will do whatever they can to assist and two vets who are virtually interchangeable in their ability to provide veterinary care of the highest quality. Kudos to Dr. Skinner and Dr. Rowland and their staff. RID: 37997
Click to report rating    2/23/12   4     5     5     5   My 10 year old Golden had surgery there June 2011. Was happy with care, tumor has not regrown. Better than average follow up by phone and e-mail. Staff on first visit were friendly welcoming, took the time to show me around. Proud of spiffy new offices and shinny new xray machine. Willing to give me sample charge sheets for common procedures such as spay and teeth cleaning. Have two friendly clinic cats. Have a good website so you can get a feel for the place first. Are good at doing diagnostic tests before recommending treatments. One of the 3 Vets does house calls. A good choice if you want a tradition practice for your pets. Only reservation is they do not support or teach raw food diet for dogs. RID: 32437
Click to report rating    12/17/11   5     5     5     4   Love the new digs! The new location is a block further away from me but it's worth it. I've seen both Dr. Nigel and Dr. Mike. They're both great and seem to really care about their patients. Dr. Mike called me back at 9:30pm, an hour and a half after they closed, just to ask how my cat was doing with her new diet! The receptionists are always friendly and good for a chat. Especially love the cat that lives there. He's a riot. RID: 29925
Click to report rating    10/27/11   3     3     3     1   Having taken 2 of my dogs to their previous location (they moved into new quarters several months ago) and being disatisfied with the quality of the vet services, I felt it necessary to move on. While the tech staff are quite pleasant and helpful, I found the vets very quick to diagnose and prescribe both expensive and often unnecessary meds and procedures. After the second misdiagnosis I realized it was in my dog's best health interest to find another vet. I suspect the new rent and office equipment is expensive and will likely be reflected in the types of procedures recommended and the hefty bills the clients will be paying. RID: 28638
Click to report rating    6/9/11   5     5     5     5   I love the fact that Dr. Nigel Skinner offered his services on his day off. You see, my dog was attacked at the dog park and Dr. Skinner was kind enough to give me his name and # as a witness. As I was leaving to go to my vet, Dr. Skinner mentioned (in a very calm voice) that some vets may be closed due to the fact that it was a holiday Monday and that if I need his help to call him because he's a vet. Of course it turned out that our vet was closed and so we called him. I was beside myself when I showed up at his office and noticed that he too was closed and that he was just opening up his practice to take care of my dog, Fred. That to me speaks volumes of his love and dedication for our pets. Now that's what I call going above and beyond. The staff there are just wonderful, never felt like I was just a client#. Oh, I should also mention that when the bill came, I was shocked to see that it wasn't double the $$$. An all around very happy experience with Kew Beach Veterinary Hospital. RID: 25523
Click to report rating    4/13/11   2     5     1     2   Vet techs are great, but vet does not return calls after procedures. RID: 24358
Click to report rating    12/29/10   5     5     5     5   I take my dog to this clinic and have had just the best care from the vets as well as the clinic staff. My dog has a myriad of health issues and can sometimes be a curmudgeon, but through it all they have continued to treat him and I with good health care and much kindness. They have truly managed to keep him alive and happy. They are also happy to refer on to a specialist when they see a need and I very much appreciate this. I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone. RID: 21651
Click to report rating    6/24/10   5     5     4     5   We took our dog with a paw injury to this clinic and found them to be without doubt fantastic with him and us! They were patient, professional and confident when dealing with our guy (who is not "people" friendly). They were also $300 less than another clinic we first brought him to (but they were entirely incompetent and though known for their cheap rates, were in the end more than Kew Beach! We would highly recommend this clinic based on our experience with them thus far (have only been a few times). They are not the cheapest or most expensive ... they are average in price but the care is above what we've experienced in other clinics. Plus, they do not mind working along side holistic vets. RID: 18521
Click to report rating    6/15/10   5     3     4     4   The staff are awesome, doctors are okay. Got 3 phone calls asking to bring my dog in for vaccines and then was told I didnt need any till next year but to do other tests anyways. RID: 18395
