When Rick was at Orchards Vet, this was one of the best in Clark County. Since Rick has retired, the quality of service has gone way down. My dog recently died because of a lack of care and bad advice from the new owner. We are never going back to this establishment!!!

Rick is the best vet in the state! 20+ years in giant breed dogs - a couple cats -- many rescue dogs that I fostered. Rick is logical, knowledgeable, empathetic and reasonable. They can run late (almost every day) because the staff makes sure that the sickest and injured get the care they need - so, if you start to get frustrated because you are late getting into your regular check up appointments - just remember, when it is your furry friend that needs the doctor fast - you will get in first!

Have gone to this vet for about 15 years now. I started at Evergreen vet, Dr. Burton and didn't like the way I was treated. Love Dr. Rick and the staff and have always been great with my dogs. They are always helpful when something new crops up and affordable. Yes, you have to wait to get an appointment and unfortunately sometimes the dogs have to go in and wait but wouldn't trade them for anything. Did I mention I show and raise mini dachshunds?

We love Dr Eric he is fantastic with our dogs and will spend the time to explain your options good and bad when facing a new diagnosis. It makes the long waits worth it. If you go early or make an appointment it is definately a shorter wait than when you walk in but even then an hour of waiting is worth it. They are very reasonable with their prices and I never feel I pay for something I didn't need. Staff is super friendly and I feel my dogs get the best care possible when we go. I do hope one day they get a bigger space so the waiting room isn't so tight. Definately a loyal customer.

Great care! Recommended to me by 2 friends, and I happily concur. But very busy. I had a long wait to be seen at 1st appointment, but learned one of the vets had been called to a (horse?) emergency. They take walk-ins, but the small waiting room is usually full--they have very loyal and numerous clientele. For shortest wait come right at 8:00 or make an appointment. Office staff is fantastic, especially considering how busy they are. When I called about my dog's hot spots, they saw she was due for a vaccine and said if I got that shot I wouldn't pay additional for the exam. The shot, exam, and oral and topical medications for the hot spots came in under $100. I see Dr. Eric Atwell. He is calm, compassionate, knowledgeable, and explains conditions and treatments well. It is most definitely NOT about the money. I asked about heartworm treatment for my puppy (previous vet had REALLY pushed it) and he said since it's not a big problem in this part of the country, it's basically optional.

Dr Weidenaar is great. I have been using him as my vet for as long as I can remember. He has seen my dogs from the day they were born or bought, and is very caring.

Dr.Weidenaar is great! He was very caring while treating our German Shepherd puppy for Pano. He truly cares for the animals. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Rick Weidenaar is the best vet I've ever had for my dogs. Only vet I've ever had that called me at home, after hours, to ask how my dog was doing. Genuinely caring individual. Highest recommendation!!!

I found this Vet to be horrible, one vet who worked there was quite rude to me, and was just a total jerk. He accused me of beating my dog, when I never laid a hand on my dog because his eye had basically exploded in the socket, and the vet said it was due to trauma to the head. Well I took my dog to my sisters vet in Washougal, and those vets there were fantastic people kind, and comforting. They looked at my dogs eyes and told me it wasnt due to trauma, the vet did surgery and removed his eye and even did research on it, which was great he also did tests on the eye and found out it wasnt trauma, my dog had cancer in his eye! So I reccomend that you take your animals to a different vet Orchards is quite rude. Because I also found out, that Boxer's which is wha tmy dog was, are notorious for cancer, mine was a black boxer/lab, but white boxers get it worse, so watch out for that.

Great staff and the best prices I've seen, very popular though so you might have to wait a bit.
