Took my cat here and all I got was no answers and a $489 bill after they learned I got care credit for $500. Took paper work and showed another vet videos and I was told for the services rendered it would have costed half of that and the medications given where highest price and not needed but a cheaper option was available and covers more symptoms. They couldn't even give him 24hr care after telling me he needed it. I had to transfer to EvS due to no one stayed there after 7pm. Again it was an additional $200. So again for $489 you get an O2 tank for a hour, blood work, a bunch of high priced meds and not one solid answer about what is wrong or what to even do to help your baby. After following the other vets I'm glad to say he is slowly recovering. RID: 70542

Click to report rating    6/8/10   4     4     4     4   Ihave taken my weiner dog for surgery and they were very good to her. Healed very well. Since then she has had traume to her back. She is in therapy and Steve D has done great so far. Dr Ehlers is part of this process and is very professional with my Danica.Thank you NAMC RID: 18296
Click to report rating    2/16/10   5     5     5     4   We have been taking our pets to NAMC for several years. This clinic has very compassionate vets and vet staff. All the vets are current on the latest technologies and are very patient with our pets. We also utilize the boarding services that are available. Our pets come home happy and well-adjusted from socializing with other pets. We don't use the grooming services frequently since our pets don't shed much, however, our pets have been in to grooming for baths and the groomers did a good job with bathing our pets. You can probably find more inexpensive pet care in town, however, we wouldn't think of going to another vet clinic...the vets and the vet staff seem like family to us and our pets! RID: 16639
Click to report rating    2/9/10   2     1     1     1   Took my year and a half Goldendoodle for grooming. Not only did they ignore my requests on how to cut her, the cutting that they did was uneven and very poor work. She is a non-shedding dog, and I have never had issues with shedding. After picking her up, there was significant amounts of hair that was still falling off of her from the cut she received. There was still areas that were dirty after the bath as well. This was quite simply the worst grooming that I have ever experienced. The only positive from the entire experience was the friendliness of the staff. This hardly makes up for the poor performance in my opinion. I will never recommend Nebraska Animal Medical Center for grooming to anyone RID: 16531
Click to report rating    1/7/09   1     1     3     2   We had our cat spayed and declawed (as required by our rental company) and had a horrible experience. Even though the surgery was done early in the morning and she was doing well, they wanted to keep her overnight to monitor her since there was a risk of bleeding, infection, etc. in the first 24 hours especially. This was perfectly fine with me--until we found out that no one is there at night and that the place is literally deserted from 9:00p-7:30a. How can you monitor a pet when no one is there? What happens if she starts having complications after everyone leaves and is left to suffer (or worse) hours before anyone returns? We never got answers to these questions but was told it was simply policy. When insisting we take her home so that at least SOMEONE could monitor her, they acted like we were idiots and were terrible to us. But really, after convincing us that the 1st 24 hours are so important, is leaving your post-surgery pet unattended for 10+ hours acceptable? I think not. RID: 11079
Click to report rating    10/29/07   5     5     5     5   We have our pets see Dr. Kohles at NAMC. He is always extremely informative and compassionate when it comes to giving our pets the right care or medicine they need. We have never had a problem getting ahold of him if we have a concern or getting a call back if we have to leave a message. If there's ever a day he isn't working at the clinic, there are other great doctors there that are more than willing to see our pets. We have been going to NAMC for two years now, and wouldn't go anywhere else! Overall, we would recommend both NAMC and our doctor to anyone looking for a great vet! RID: 6279
