Receptionist Cheryl is rude, disrespectful, insensitive and unprofessional. 1) When I was desperate to book an appointment for my dying cat, she was rude, snotty + impatient with me, claiming "we're fully booked!" but when I got another receptionist, she booked me immediately! 2) Cheryl came into the exam room RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF MY Cat BEING EUTHaNIZED WITH THE INTERaC Machine in her hand arrogantly saying I Had too Pay for the Euthanasia FEE!!! WE WERE SHOCKED + DISGUSTED at HER INSENSITIVITY + She even had smirk on her face while she was standing in front of me!. She is unbelievable!!! We wrote a letter of complaint to the owner Douglas Hopwood about How Disrespectful rude + insensitive + unprofessional Cheryl is, and he didn't even bother to respond!! But they certainly took my money!! They clearly proved that they really don't care. I should have gotten an at-home euthanasia for my precious cat by someone who would give him the respect and sensitivity that he deserved.

excellent veterinary hospital. Great service and price. Have seen many of the vets and am happy with them all. They do their best to book you in when you need an unexpected appointment. Would recommend this place to anyone with a pet.

I'm disappointed with this office. I saw a temporary vet at this location. She was not available to answer questions about my sick cat. They offered me to see another vet for another charge. I asked about special food but they did not call me back. I could go on but you get the idea.

Overall, I've had very good experiences here and dealt with almost every staff member. Dr. Hopewood in particular has been very good over the last few years with my aging dog. Treatments and surgery were fair prices and logic is always used in treatment plans and never any "sales pressure". Always quick to allow for emergency appointments and rarely a long wait to see the doctors. I will continue to use the clinic.

After 15 yrs at another Ottawa clinic, a change in management and a new puppy brought us to Billings Bridge Animal Hospital. This is a fantastic facility, staffed with true professionals who are passionate about animal health. We’ve dealt with Dr. Hopwood who spayed our pup and we had no problems at all. Dr. Arthur also provided our Golden with wonderful care for eye/ear infections. He calmed our fears and was very matter of fact and professional. We’ve also had the pleasure of visiting Dr. MacDonald on our latest infection escapade. Dr. MacDonald is amazing – he is so approachable, kind, thoughtful and thorough in his care. He explains everything in detail and does regular follow ups to check in. You can tell he isn't in it for the money, but truly cares about your animal's health. This isn't just a job, but a lifestyle choice to help bring health to our lovable 4-legged fur babies. We are incredibly fortunate to have him as our vet and Billings as our clinic.

Due to school/work I've lived in three different cities so I've been to numerous vets in a pretty short time. Billings Bridge Animal Hospital is definitely my favourite. All of the staff are very polite and nice (they even gave my cat a couple toys to keep when she was being antsy in her crate). They understand people have budgets and I never feel pressured or rushed when I'm there. All in all its a really great environment with great people, and great services. Definitely recommend.

We love this vet clinic. Doctors are very kind and caring to the animals. Parking lot is less than ideal, so if small parking lots make you crazy, allow time to park on a street and walk. Can be a bit tricky to find as signage is hard to spot.

Dr Hoopwood is an excellent doctor, who gave effective treatments to my cat and being very helpful and patient to answer all the questions I had regarding my sick cat. But the front girl named Kassandra, she really needs to change her attitude towards her customers. Suggestion for her: be respectful and friendly to your customers by dropping your cold face and softening your cold voice. The doctor deserves a better staff, and his customers deserve better services from the receptionist.

After just having returned from Billings Bridge with my English bulldog Jack I can honestly say I have found my Vet. Everything about this experience was extremely positive from the excellent Vet tech staff being caring and extremely knowledgeable to Dr. Hopwood taking the time to answer all of my questions and putting my mind at ease with regards to Jacks health. I feel at this place as if my little buddy is a patient and not a number there Is alot of love in this place and in the End knowledge and love beat out affordibility. Which may I add was also well under my expected cost. In closing if you truly care for your little friend don hesitate to check these people out.

Dr Johnson is a very knowledgeable vet who looks after our two cats in a thorough and meticulous way. Not cheap (but not exorbitant either). Very happy with the level of care our animals receive.

This is the GREATEST veterinary hospital around!! Everyone REALLY cares, are honest and very respectful! These guys truly love animals and treat them so well. They have amazing bed-side manner, the prices are very reasonable and all the staff are truly special! You will never find a better veterinary hospital!

I have been going to this vet for over 16 years. Three cats and a dog. The care has always been first rate and the staff is caring. Drs Hopwood and Johnston are thorough, diligent and full of good info. And the techs are all helpful and lov to give the pets the occasional treat.

The doctors are always great - they explain what's going on, and options. No unnecessary tests etc, just the tests that make the most sense at that point in time and why. Prices are good compared to other higher profile clinics - I've called around - and care is great. (We had a potentially bad situation with an intestinal obstruction - everyone was wonderful and cat is on road to recovery.) The clinic is bit hard to spot if it's your first time there so make sure you know exactly where it is before you head out. (Turn onto Rooney's Lane, go about 100 feet and look very intently to the left for blue and white signage.) The parking lot is cramped - so if you have parking issues :-) get someone else to drive.

I bring my dog to see dr hopwood.my dog loves it there he had a lump on his side and dr hopwood operated but after the surgery another lump appeared and now we have to go to a specialist to fix the problem.He is a really good vet and really caring

This a great vet. They care for your pet, and (in my experience) don't over prescribe or run unnecessary diagnostics. They book a lot of appointments, but usually aren't too late. They are pretty hardcore if you miss your appointment, so be on time!

I am a professional dogwalker and have a pet sitting services and have sent at least 8 of my client to this hospital. I have been using the services of this hospital for over 25 years and I can only rave on the services, care that all of my pets have received from Dr. Johnston. The staff is wonderful and always ready to help when in the need. This hospital is small and its wonderful to know that when you come in to see the vet you are not a numbers game but a individual who is bringing a patient (pet) in and the staff actualy now who you are and who your pet is and it's history. All my clients who have been going to this hospital are also extremely happy with the services. Because I own a pet service, i hear many negative things about certain hospital but I have never heard anything negative from this one. Dr. Johnston also replaced a cruciated ligament on my dog several years ago and I have never had any issues with it.

I've been taking my puppy to this facility for the last five years and have nothing but good things to say. Both Dr. Hopwood and Dr. Johnston take the time to explain things to you and that fact that they love animals shows.
