The vet who owns this practice is arrogant and not compassionate with animals or humans. She charged me well over $1200 for my diabetic cat and overdosed him with insulin to the point that his blood sugar was in the 40s numerous times. Also, she and her staff require that indoor cats (who have not been outside in 10+ years have a yearly stool sample to look for worms. Ya, right, it is the money they want and more of it! I refuse to go here and would never recommend this vet practice to anyone.

It has become very evident for our family that the people at this business are primarily focused on being the least efficient in order to weasel the most money out of you; rather than being dedicated to helping the animal to the best of their ability while providing the customer with the best value. Our cats just got mange (scabeis ...nasty bugs ... transferrable to humans), and this place won't even sell us Revolution (which they charge over $25 for) to cure it without bringing in all the animals first and having them tested (over $100 per). Kennebec Vet. Serv. in oakland charged under $17 per tube and wished us the best of luck. We're their new customers now. When we got our cats fixed, Garland Rd. SAH wanted over $200. Sabasticook Animal Clinic charged $80. Bottom line- The staff at Garland Road Small Animal Hospital are primarily SALES people and Secondarily providers of Vet services. They will NOT give you a good value for your money, I guarantee it.
