This vet office was horrible. We took our kitten to the vet to check her for feline lukemia and the office told us that she was so small they would be unable to draw any blood from her and that for a period of 3 weeks we would need to keep her away from our other cat. I took her to Bass Lake Pet Hospital and they were able to get the blood drawn and tested in no problem.

I would not recommend Funk Animal Hospital for any reason. The main Vet there is rude and has terrible bed side manners. She is extremely harsh and disrespectful. She appears to have no people skills when talking to you about your animal...and don't ever ask how much something is going to be to her...she get very irritated as if any amount should be spent on anything. We will do whatever necessary for our animals but, even to ask the cost..she appeared to be greatly offended and put off. You can tell the other staff there know she is like this and try to make up for her rude, nasty tone. I have talked to several people,,some who have continued to bring their animals there despite her behavior and they totally agree she is like this. Why pay for a Vet that is rude to the owners of the animals..Yes, she is good with the animals but, what good does that do if you feel uncomfortable when you are there. It's like bringing your child to a rude Dr. that you can't have a conversation with.

My Mother usually takes the dog to the Vet, but as having the dog in my family, I thought I should comment. Funk Animal Hospital/Compassionate Care failed to determine that our schnauzer had a pinched nerve in his back and neck. It was very painful for him and he (our dog) went a very long time with this pain until it was too painful to move his head, eat, and bark. The icing on the cake was that it got so bad for him that it was affecting his left leg and paw. It was so uncomfortable that he had to sit and lay in a position as to where the pressure was taken away from the pinched nerve and disc. My Mother finally took him to a new vet; which in fact, was close to home. I am ashamed and very upset with Funk Animal Hospital and Compassionate Care. Even though I have never visted or took our dog to Funk and Compassionate Care facilities, I am outraged at their mistake in finding nothing wrong with our dog. It was VERY painful for him and would have been so easy for them to determine.:(

As the other poster said, this is an awesome vet that is NOT about upselling treatment, etc. They are upfront with what is going on, without unneeded tests, and are very ok when you let them know that money needs to be considered. My animals get very kind, professional and ethical care which is also top notch...far less expensive than other clinics around!

I'm 25 and I've taken my animals here since I was a kid. They don't believe in doing unnessacary treatments. I completely trust the staff with my babies. They have laser surgury available and not a lot of places have that. Please read there web site. I know they care for cats and dogs but i'm unsure about other animals. You won't be disappointed by taking your babies here.
