My dog was treated at LSU for a heart condition by Dr. Pariaut and Saelinger. The personal and students were very knowledgeable and helpful. The hospital is staffed by veterinary specialists who are some of the best in their areas of expertise. The tests and treatments seem a little expensive at first but you know that your pet will receive the best care possible. They do whatever is needed. I was very impressed by the cardiologists who perform cardiac surgeries with catheters like in children. I was told that Dr. Pariaut is the only cardiologist to perform those surgeries in Louisiana and one of the few who has this expertise in the southern states. I really recommend this place. I'll go back a few times a year for rechecks and they always communicate with my pet's veterinarian to make sure everyone is on the same page regarding his disease.
