Click to report rating    1/5/12   5     5     5     5   We brought our rescue dog to Dr. Pariaut after he was diagnosed with Caval syndrome, which is the worst stage of heartworm disease. The only treatment in caval syndrome is the manual removal of heartworms. I had researched the surgery for months and found it to be a very risky and difficult surgery. Our dog's health was declining rapidly and Dr. Pariaut performed an absolutely perfect surgery. He was very kind, knowledgable and compassionate. Our dog stayed in ICU for almost a week and we heard from Dr. Pariaut at least twice a day. We went to LSU to visit with our pup and speak with Dr. Pariaut often and he always spent at least half an hour with us explaining all aspects of our situation and answered every question we had. Although we had to put our puppy to sleep due to lung damage, Dr. Pariaut did everything he possibly could to save his life. He went well beyond what I've ever expected and I cannot say enough AMAZING things about him, Rachel, and his entire staff. RID: 30320
Click to report rating    7/21/10   5     5     5     5   Dr. Pariaut just diagnosed my dog with a heart condition called pulmonic stenosis. I was very impressed by the extent of his knowledge but overall he was extremely nice to my pet and kind to me. Dr. Pariaut is a heart specialist. He is french but told me he trained in the US at Cornell University. He is one of the few, and the only one in Louisiana, who knows how to do surgeries to fix the heart condition my pet has. After he performed the surgery my dog stopped fainting and is now much more active. I highly recommend that you consult with Dr. Pariaut if your dog or cat has a heart condition. He seems very young but you can find a lot of information on what he does if you google his name on the internet. The team he works with is also very nice and helpful. You will meet a lot of young doctors if you bring your pet to LSU and if seems that they all do their best. RID: 18886
