I don't get where the complaints are coming from. Been using WVG for years for several dogs. Even had one put down there and they were very compassionate nad understanding. Had surgeries done and numerous sick visits and well visits. are they pricey, probably yes but my dogs are worth it to me. Are they interested in making money? Yes, they are a business not a charity. I've never had any experience with gouging or add-ons. I've also never dealt with some of the doctors mentioned but Dr. Day and Dr. Doyle are excellent clinicians and caring folks to boot. What more can you expect-for them to walk you out to your car and hold the door for you? As for mis-diagnosis, I've had seen plenty from a vat in Brooklyn (totally missed the boat on a cat who suffered more than she should have) and a real off-base diagnosis from the "famed" Red Bank Animal Hospital (treated my dog for poisoning when WVG found he had brain cancer). No ones perfect. Mistakes happen. I just haven't seen many at WVG.

The only thing I found to be 'par' was the waiting area and the place to take pets to use the toilet outside. Other than that, they misdiagnosed two different cats of mine, both of whom had leukemia and had to be put to sleep three months later. Stay away.

BEWARE of this place. All they care about is money and their staff with the exception of Dr. Day are all very cold and uncaring. We brought our mini pin into their hospital on an emergency basis on a Monday and Dr. Fellen ran tests and recommended that she stay in their facility for a maximum of 3 nights. We obviously agreed to this. Our estimate was brought to us soon after, since all they care about is making money and we agreed to pay it without any hesitation. We were in constant phone contact with Dr, Fellen and the vet tech during the 3 nights that our mini pin was there and we were mislead about her condition. We were told that she was eating turkey (her fav) and that she even played and walked around the facility. I also asked Dr Fellen directly if I needed to come home to NJ (since I live in Manhattan) in the event something happened after she was discharged and Dr. Fellen said she did not think so. However, I rushed home when my sister called me after picking her up and told

Don't let the clean facility fool you. Staff is okay and the price is very high. Tag on unnecessary tests without your permission. Punctuality is the worst. My dog is always nervous when he sees the vet. I checked in 11:50am for my 12pm appointment. While three other owners checked in after me all went in while I was still sitting in the waiting room with my dog shaking nervously on my lap at 12:20pm.
