Click to report rating    8/7/24   1     3     1     1   Vets that I have interacted with have been professional. Front desk staff are horrible. Even if your pet has been a patient for years, they will not see them in emergency situations. Crazy expensive for very poor client and nasty attitude by support staff. This is a clinic that has leveraged the shortage of vets to the max. RID: 71106
Click to report rating    2/13/18   5     5     4     1   VERY FLIPPING EXPENSIVE I ASKED TO SEE MY VET FOR THE APPOINTMENT AND ITS IN MY CHART; THEY GAVE ME THE ANOTHER VET INSTEAD! SO ANNOYING!!!SPAY WOULD OF COST $OVER 800 SO I WENT TO SPAY AND NEUTER CLINIC RID: 65572
Click to report rating    10/22/16   4     4     4     1   I went here because we wanted a holistic perspective. They were only supposed to charge $280 individually for the cat and dog. Dog was in very good condition, but we walked out with a bill of $700. Cat was in excellent condition, but the bill was $400. If you want a holistic perspective, you're better off going to a regular vet for check-ups and seeking a holistic canine/feline nutritionist for nutrition and prevention. RID: 61869
Click to report rating    8/11/15   5     5     4     1   They charge close to double the price on everything compared to two other Ottawa clinics I use. I was told the blood work was 130$ on the bill it was 139$ plus 40$ for drawing the blood!!?? That charge was not mentioned before hand. RID: 58013
10/16/14   1     3     3     1   My father is 90 years old with his small 12 year old dog as his best and only friend. The dog is very inactive and developed diabedes. The dog did not do very well, but the hospital kept the dog alive for the sake of the dollars and false hope for my father's companion. The poor dog finally died 2 months after the diagnosis basically being on life support with no real hope. My father's own health suffered as a result of having to taking care of the dog. $5,200 moved from my father's bank account into theirs. The dog sufferred. There were far more bad days for him than good. The dog always looked to my father for love, spent most of his time looking into empty space. Poor thing. Just want to say...Elder abuse is not always physical...It can also be in the form of taking advantage of the elderly. I've never seen the hospital so I gave average grades on facilities and punctuality, but on the rest I am hugely disappointed. My father misses his dog, but his phsical health is much better. Click to report rating    11/20/13   5     5     4     5   The staff at Blair Animal Hospital have always treated my cats and dogs with excellent care and compassion! They saved my cat's life when another vet told me he should be put down. As long as I have pets, they will continue going to Blair because I know they will be in safe hands. RID: 48346
Click to report rating    3/22/13   5     5     3     3   We have 2 cats and this is our local vet. We only have one other place we can compare it to, the Beechwood animal hospital. Both seem fine we just switched due to proximity. RID: 41235
Click to report rating    10/11/12   3     2     2     1   The staff is very friendly but I understand why since the charge is so ridiculously overpriced. They triple the price you would normaly pay at any other veterinarian. And they want your money so they're making stories up for you to get worried and pay their expensive charges about the health of the animal when he's doing fine. Don't waste your time, find another veterinarian. RID: 37755

9/3/12   1     2     2     1   Boy was I wrong about this place. They seem to care for your pet and are extremely friendly but at the slightest onset of illness the battery of tests and hospitalization they charge is obscene!! My cat stopped eating for 4 days. After an examination they told me she was dehydrated, needed an xray and possible hospitalization. When I told them I wanted to get a second opinion I was told "don't forget you get what you pay for". Thinking she was in pain I decided on the xray (they really know how to play on your emotions)...Did I get what I paid for?? I got an inconclusive X-ray which they couldnt read and had to be sent to a radiologist for another charge! Suffice it to say $650 later I got nothing!! I went for the second opinion from another vet and for $50 was told my cat had a hair ball and it would pass naturally. Unbelievable. I will not be returning!! RID: 36974
