We started coming here when it was Dr. Kerr looking after our pets. Since that time, a different vet took over our pet care. We lost one dog September/15 to stomach cancer after being told it was possible Addisons. She died at the emergency clinic. Then our other dog that we just lost on Monday, Dec21/5 to cardiac issues that had been undetected, has to be taken into a different clinic because Thorold was booked and would not squeeze her in. This was an 8.5 month old pup showing obvious signs of breathing distress, and they tell us to either find someplace else that will see her that afternoon, or bring her back the next day. This was at 4pm, two hours prior to their closing for the day, and they would not see her? Fairveiw Animal Clinic did, and she was not even their patient, and they did not charge us additional emergency fee charges. She died that night. Thanks vets at Thorold, maybe Dr. Kerr could give you all pointers. I will never bring a pet here again.

The vets are absolutely wonderful. Dr.Thomas - love you! Dr. Lowry and Dr.Kerr - wonderful, experienced vets who love their work, you can tell. Their assistants work very, very hard and take tender care of their furry (and non-furry) patients. I must say, this practice has become a victim of its own success. The phones are almost always busy, the front waiting room is becoming nightmarish to navigate. There is always someone with a shy or aggressive animal having to wait outside because it's just too congested in there. I have known this practice for 22 years - sadly, may have to leave them because of the delays and challenges of parking. Dr.Kerr - if you're reading this, please please consider moving your clinic if you want our business! All the best.

We've taken our animals here for years. my old dog was terrified of the vet and you couldn't get him on the table - a big collie so the doctor did his whole exam on the floor. he was wonderful with the dog. now - just the other month I found a stray cat with a bowel leakage issue - took him to one vet who said it was linked to food 'buy our stuff', went to thorold and she figured it was a specific parasite - haven't had a problem in 6 months. I trust these docs completely and am surprised to hear negative reports

I would not recommend this vet. My cat has an upper respiratory cold and has stopped eating and drinking. I called them to make an appointment. Their first and only question was "is your cat our patient?" when I said no the receptionist quickly told me "well you'll have to go to emergency, she needs to be seen but isn't our patient. She showed absolutely no bedside manner for a concerned cat owner and didn't offer any suggestions of another vet to try. Not impressed at all. Martindale Vet on the other hand was absolutely amazing!

I found the staff very sensitive and caring. The prices seem reasonable to me, and I can get an appointment quickly.

Majority of staff is great, but there is a vet tech who can be rather pushy, mean. The building is small and recently they put a new front desk in and now there is very little waiting room and should you be waiting with a dog it is very difficult because no one else can get around you. And as for price, they used to be very reasonable but lately the prices have gone up and they are as expensive as everyone else. I've been going here for 14 years and even though it's quite a distance from me it was reasonabley priced so I continued to go there, but now I go to someone closer
