They are responsible for the death of our beloved dog. I took her in with excessive panting(especially when walking), refusing food, difficulty getting up and slowed walking, ALL signs of heart disease and they missed it. Gave her a shot of Librela for arthritis, and six weeks later she went into heart failure and had to be pts. She could have been put on meds and lived for years if they would have done their job and not been so eager to push their new expensive arthritis drug. My poor baby was only 12 and in good health otherwise. I am devastated and heart broken. I will never take an animal there again.

It is near impossible to get into Queensway with the new owners. Ever since the takeover, it has been all about money and how many clients they can fit in a day. You have to call multiple times just to get through to someone.

Queensway killed my cat. I'll spare you the details, but there was to be a recheck appointment in 2 weeks, and my lovebug should not have been sent home. The 'doctor' gave him subcutaneous fluid which he later exasperated on an hour later in an agonizing death. I am heartbroken and angry, and when I called to tell what happened, the lady who answered the phone didn't even say sorry.

I LOVE Queensway Veterinary Clinic. Everyone from the receptionists to the doctors are very informative, warm and truly care about the animals. I've been in for My cats UTI, my other cat with Hyperthyroidism, and most recently our new puppy's checkups and spaying. We even took a stray in that had been hit on the road, to which they advised us the injuries where quite bad and likely very costly. We agreed to euthanize and they waived most of the fee, and thanked us for bringing the suffering cat in....Prices are the most reasonable around, and care is ALWAYS outstanding. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I have been going to Queensway Vet for about 20 years. Although they have changed hands and Dr Alan Platter is no longer there, it still rates top notch. I take in strays and have them fixed and released so you can imagine the amount of business they get from me. Although their prices have gone up and the waiting time is long, I am still going there because of their medical expertise. I am able to rate this medical knowledge with confidence as I work in a hospital. I also think the entire team is warm and thoughtful. As for the long wait time, I see this as a good sign...for one they must be getting alot of business because people are happy with them, and secondly the wait may be because they triage and help the animals that have life-threatening emergencies first. I know I have just shown up with an emergency from time to time and was greatful they are there to help so my pet suffered less.

Yes, they’re cheaper, but THEY SENT MY CAT HOME WITH THE WRONG PERSON. I’m going to say that again because I’m still having trouble believing this level of negligence happened somewhere I assumed was professional. They sent my kitten home with the wrong person. My kitten was there to be spayed and micro chipped, as were two other cats with the same owner. In the morning, my kitten was shoved in a carrier with an unfamiliar cat, and then brought home to a strange home after an already traumatic operation. She could have been attacked, she’s a very small cat. This switch wasn’t noticed until the other owner called to complain that she had the wrong cat.
I get that mistakes happen, but this is a major one and people need to know it’s a possibility when considering the cheaper option. If you care about your pet, my advice is to take it elsewhere.

Excellent Doctor. I was certain I was going to lose my elderly Pug but she pulled through surgery with flying colours! Thank you so much Dr. S. Bilinsky.

We drive a good distance to get there and it's worth it. They've helped me keep my diabetic cat in fine fettle for 2 years now and I've never had a problem. Are they busy ? Hell yes. They do good work at GOOD prices and don't try to bankrupt people just because they love their animals. I have recommended them to many friends and gotten nothing but thanks in return. I see some comments here that are fishy as all get out but I'd expect that considering how weak their competitors are when it comes to care and cost. Without them I couldn't afford to keep Frye alive and he's too much fun to let go. I trust them and that's saying a LOT coming from me.

I made an appointment to get my dog neutered today at Queensway Veterinary hospital In Simcoe. When I made the appointment it was agreed that he would stay overnight and have surgery tomorrow. I drove the 45 minutes there in white out conditions to be asked coldly by the Vet what he was there for. There was no smiling, how are you, not even a hello, just incredibly cold. I answered for neutering. She was very rude when she told me no that they are all booked up for surgery. I spent a harrowing 45 minute drive home in complete white out conditions. I don't believe the rudeness I got when the mistake was obviously there's. I would never go back.

Counter staff could be friendlier, but the vets are very informative and responsive to questions. A very busy clinic but a little more time per patient would go a long way which would also take some pressure off counter staff.

Very busy place, for a good reason. Staff is always busy but pleasant. Vets and assistants are very good with my lab/shepherd who doesn't like most people. I've waited for over an hour before for an appointment, but for visiting once a year that doesn't bother me because my dog's okay in the waiting room. Other times they've been right on time. Great value - I drive over an hour to take my dog when I could go to any of the other dozens of places just around the corner. They're very informative and honest about any questions or concerns you have.

We have been going here for years with all of our pets. The service at the desk has never been good however you can get past that as long as your beloved pets are well cared for. We recently had our little dog put to sleep. The vet was very cold. Far from sympathetic. Did not explain anything. Injected and left the room. Very cold! While we stood by in pain with our old girl's body laying there. Heartbreaking. I'd had paid double to have had both her and us receive better care and attention. Extremely hard decision to make however the vet did not make things any easier. We most definitely will not be returning. I let down one pet and there is now nothing I can do about that. I will not do that for the others.this vet also suggested I not be in the room. Glad I didn't listen. Would have been the biggest regret I would have had. No more regrets. We are moving on!

Queensway is a very good clinic, the staff are truly caring, sorry if you expect a conversation on how your whole week went you are not going to see it at this clinic as they are really busy. I have not or seen any problems with the Doctor's they know their stuff and I trust them which is more than I can say for a lot of Veterinary Clinics out there. And yes they are very reasonable when it comes to pricing and there is no reason why other Veterinary practices shouldn't be either. I worked for a wonderful Vet managing his large practice so I know. The public has be conditioned to think the more you pay the better the service which is not the real truth at all. Please remember Vets are people and make errors as well and sometimes those errors could be eliminated if full disclosure about their pets was given to staff and Vets prior to their appointments. I drive in from Hamilton and it is well worth the drive. So I say 2 thumbs way up for this Veterinary Hospital. :O)

Love this office. Everyone is friendly and so gentle and sweet to my 7 month old puppy. Took our other dog here before she passed as well and always been happy with the care. My sister brought her dog there from Cambridge to be neutered. The prices are reasonable and I have absolutely no complaints! Would recommend this vet to anyone!

This is the best Vet clinic anywhere, most compassionate staff and pricing is fabulous. They have helped my daughter with her cats so much, especially one with diabetes and an autoimmune disease. Everyone should go there

I have a dog and a cat, already patients at Queensway Vet. We adopted a new kitten and wanted to have her vet checked before bringing her home to our other two pets. I called the day before and explained that to the vet, but they couldn't give me an appointment for a whole week. I didn't want to risk infecting my other two pets with anything she might have (found out when we picked her up that she had fleas) and so ended up taking her to Delhi Big Creek Vet, who understood and took her the same day I called.

I have been taking my 4 pets to Queensway for 10 years now. I travel from Hamilton because the care they provide is excellent and the Vets and Staff are fantastic about getting my pets in if I feel it is urgent. Also, the cost of their services is somewhat less than you would pay in Hamilton. The Vets really seem to care about my animals and the Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I have much to thank them for.

I took my dog here when I was just starting out on my own, because I heard the service was good and the prices were cheap - I will never make this mistake again. After frequent trips to for itchy ears with discharge, swabs were done to diagnose a "bacterial infection." Antibiotics were perscribed without a culture, even though the infection was recurring. The next vet shoved his finger in my dog's ear, smelled it, and told me to rinse it with vinegar. Turns out my dog's ear drum ruptured and he had to go to a specialist... thousands of dollars later. A simple culture would have cured him. Even just their basic customer service is awful; the women at the front desk as curt and rude on the phone, don't greet you with as much as a "hello" and don't even come close to recognizing your face. Now that we switched to Simcoe Animal Hospital, all the vets know me and my dogs by name, know their health issues, and are friendly and take the time to talk to you on the phone and in person.

I left after waiting almost an hour. The place was so crowed that there was a line up in the parking lot. It is clear to me that they over-book and are just churning out as many appointments as possible. I would never go back.

My mother was advised to cook our dog's raw food. The vet was not knowledgeable enough to ask if it contained ground bone, which would have turned into tiny needles. It was an honest mistake, vets are not taught proper nutrition, so we continue to take our pets there under the condition that I'm always present. During the same visit my dogs were administered rabies with not so much as a word of caution regarding our epileptic dog and the associated risks. Major disappointment. Another reason why I feel I must "supervise" appointments.

they killed my ferret. and would not let me in to comfort my old dog when she was put to sleep... a clinic that charges under $500 for over $1000 worth of work is fishy, something is wrong with that.

We drive all the way from Hamilton with our 18yr old cat to get her the care she needs at an affordable price. This place is for the animals well being and not about the $ at all. We got some of her teeth pulled, antibiotics, stayed over night, cathator in her arm (so while she was under anestic if anything happened it could be delivered quickly), 5lb bag of food for her teeth and revolution, plus her annual vaccines done for all under $500. when other vets told us that for just the teeth pulling alone it would start at $400 and go up depending on how many and what shape her mouth was in. Some vets even quoted us $1200 just for the teeth pulling. Amazing care for the money. We have been going there for 2yrs now couldn't be happier.

Dr Plater is AWESOME! I can't say enough good things about this vet. yes you have to wait sometimes but that is only because he takes his time with your animal and makes sure that you are comfortable with and have no questions about diagnoses/treatments. He is very gentle and sensitive to the animals...taking his time to get them comfortable as well before and examination. very knowledgeable and if he is stumped he'll tell you he's stumped and will get advice from another vet if he needs it. we've been long time clients and have always been very happy with the care/concern our animals have received
