We just moved to this area & didnt have a regular vet.When I took my dog here the Dr. found a breast tumor & recommended spaying & tumor removal.When attempting to make an appt for surgery, I was given the run around as I attempted to set an appt with the Dr. who had seen her. After 3 emails & 3 phone calls, I finally discovered she was just a fill in & wasn't anywhere on a reg basis long enough to do surgery.Why didn't she mention this in the frist place?It went quickly downhill from there.Dr, Hempel was sloppy, cutting the wrong nipple, using old fashioned thread rather than surgical superglue (no one volunteered a lamp shade, my dog quickly tore out the stitches), the techs didnt bother to read the appt paperwork, came to get her from the lobby saying, "Ok, so we're going to spay her, eh?" No, a tumor is being removed as well.The fact that they didn't know what they were going to do to my dog didn't set well. They missed a nail when clipping & front staff were in need of training.
