I love this vet hospital! They were always so good with my dog Loki. They were extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all his health problems over the years. Everyone is so compassionate, caring and wanting what's best for your animal. I have nothing but good things to say about this hospital, I highly recommend them!

Disgusting practice! A friend of ours brought a dog we used to own but gave to them in to have her put down as she was going completely blind and began biting the children. They left the vet crying as she was a big part of the family and was with them for a few years and went home. The next day, my mother in law receives a notice that the chip we had installed in her has been picked up at the SPCA! She was not dead and was sitting at the SPCA. How can a vet do this to someone?? They ended up going today and picking her up. This is disgusting and the police will be notified.

My 16 year old beagle has been so well cared for by Dr Foreman and her team at SouthPaw Animal Hospital. They are providing her with the best care, we can reasonably afford without making us feel like we should be doing more. I’ve heard horror stories of other vets wanting to do procedures worth thousands of dollars on old dogs and making owners feel guilty. I am grateful that SouthPaw is able to meet us where we are at to keep my dog comfortable and happy. They have been awesome during CoVid to ensure both their safety and mine.

They used to have a vet on staff who was a real gem, and I used to recommend South Paw to everyone for that reason. Sadly, they've left the clinic. I can't speak to all of their remaining staff, but I'd never recommend them anymore given my very negative experiences with the owner, Dr. Foreman, who on several occasions seemed to take affront to clients asking questions and has been unwilling to talk through issues. Finally, when we once complained that we weren't told about something that we were being charged for after our visit (having never complained before in the course of almost ten years and thousands of dollars in vet bills at South Paw) she first got defensive, then actually turned to insulting us and then fired us as clients. They're booked solid now that they've reopened after the COVID-19 shut down, so maybe they don't need to worry about satisfied customers anymore.

If you want a vet that is concerned about how much money they are going to get out of you and not the well being of your animal - this is the vet for you.

I wouldn't take my fur babies anywhere else! My dogs don't even mind going to the vet as they know they are going to get a good snuggle from all the staff. I wholeheartedly trust the staff of southpaw.

The staff and veterinarians are very friendly, punctual and caring towards the animals. However, I was disappointed with how they treated our dogs eye ulcer. We were charged for every visit and recheck, although they were unable to resolve the issue. We paid over $700 for appointments, procedures and medications, only to be told that there was nothing more they could do for him and we would need to see an ophthalmologist. We decided to go for a second opinion at another veterinarian in Fredericton. He has since performed a minor procedure on our dog's eye (at a fraction of the cost) and it is now healed.

I have been using SouthPaw Animal Hospital as my primary vet clinic for about 10 years and I have always been delighted with their service. Their staff are friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. I appreciate the continued help I receive in times of need, and also in preventative care. The staff/vets here love my animals as their own and and they work hard to make the experience enjoyable for my animals (and myself). Both my dogs, and even my cat, love their trips to the vet. The location is great and the prices are comparable to other clinics in town.

I have been using Southpaw for 11 years and wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. The have always gone above and beyond my expectations and given quality compassionate care. They are very knowledgeable and treat my pets with the love they would their own. The staff is always friendly, helpful and go the extra mile. I always expect to be waiting a few minutes but never mind because once I am in the exam room I know my pet at that moment is the most important thing to them. I find they are a little expensive but my animals are my babies and I really do feel that I get the best care for them. My primary Vet is Dr.Lewis but I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Foreman and Dr. Ethridge as well. I can not say enough good things about them! They have been so good to me and my pets and always go the extra mile. I would recommend them to anyone! They have a great compassionate, professional and knowledgeable team working there! I LOVE MY VET TEAM!!!

I have to say the Vets at this animal hospital are very great with my animals. Very personable, very approachable and highly knowledgeable with exotic animals. I wouldn't bring my animals anywhere else as they do an excellent job!

The staff and veterinarians are extremely friendly and you can tell they really care about your pet! The hospital is always so clean and smells nice. My cat and dog both get really good exams no matter what they are in for. The prices are comparable to other clinics in town with a couple of exceptions. They may not be the cheapest but I always feel that it is money well spent there.

Nice people,good vets,but INCREDIBLY expensive!I certainly cant afford to go there and had to switch vets when my dog got sick,the system seems designed to make return visits and prolonged treatment a must.Sadly we ended up losing our dog.I found their rates about double.

I had taken my dog there to get nutered when he was a puppy also when he would get in fight with porkypines and because i hadnt been there in four years they want 170 extra and another 75 put put him down.. My dog was a large dog and was 14 years old.. they want the extra 170 to check him over because i didnt do regular check ups.. it realy tics me off the theses vets charge so much for so called thw love of animals...

I brought my rabbit today and I am glad I choose south paw, doctor shannon lewis, was EXCEPTIONAL! they make you feel welcome, they take time and pride in what they do, they listen to every concern you may have, and most of all so professional and friendly, I really wanted to find an experience doctor for my rabbit, and Dr.lewis prove to me she is one of the best, my rabbit was so nervous at first but she was extremely soft with him and she knew exactly how to deal with him , he was the happiest rabbit after! they see your pet like you see them* a family member*

My older dog suddenly took sick over a weekend and I was worried. Vet on call was very good at telling me what to look for, called back in am to ask how she was. As suddenly as she was sick she was better so didn't take her in but they certainly helped reassure me.

Our regular vet is Dr. Foreman,however, we have had the pleasure of seeing the other vets at SouthPaw as well.EVERY time, we have been more than happy with the care provided, from the vets, techs, assistants and reception.I like the convenience of being able to drop my pet off in the morning, before I go to work and pick up later in the day. I also like that they are up to date with things like digital x-ray and almost all blood tests being done right at Southpaw.This benefits my dogs and their healthcare and that is my main concern, regardless of cost.I can't compare prices with other clinics in our area, because I won't go elsewhere!! During a recent illness and ultimate death of one of our beloved dogs, everyone at SouthPaw went above and beyond to make sure her needs and well-being (and ours) were met and exceeded.It was an awful time for us and I can't even express how much their care and concern for all of us helped us through it. We love SouthPaw!

Dr. Lewis has been the only reason I continued to do business with South Paw as a business. Unfortunately, for various reasons ranging from ever-increasing costs to the ball being dropped in terms of follow-up care, I've (with regret) decided to seek out a new clinic.

Drs. Foreman, Lewis, and Crandlemire all treat your pet with the same level of excitement and care that they would if they were treating their own pet. They always remember your pet from their last visit, and we always leave feeling happy and well cared for. We wouldn't even think of going anywhere else! Great job, Ladies! We all appreciate the care you put in for our loved furbabies!
