my toy red poodle has been with this exceptional vet since birth 8/2 yrs ago. Both Dr's Kalvig and Dr Shorter are the most dedicated doctors i have ever met .Not only are they ALWAYS available in times of my pets stress but their ability to diagnose and prescribe an immediate and effective remedy quickly is just one indication of their brilliance and honorable concern for all the voiceless beings they care for. Dr Kalvig AND Dr Shorter seem to have another sense in understanding what they are saying!!! Their concious effort to maintain the highest level of care has often translated itself into natural remedies as simple as adding or subtracting certain foods as well as trying the least invasive and least toxic solution first! i reccommend them with beond a hundred star rating! i feel fortunate in having found them. they are a multi faceted Gem here on the upper east side. I have been a client of Dr. Kalvig for over 20 years. She is an exceptionally skilled and caring veterinarian. She is very meticulous,knowledgeable and very willing to recommend a specialist when my cats needed one. She works closely with Dr. Shorter so its like having two doctors aware and involved with your pets. I consider my cats family members and through the years I have come to regard Dr. Kalvig as a trusted member of the family too. She also has a great deal of empathy. I highly recommend her.

I have had an absolutely wonderful relationship with both Dr.'s Kalvig and Shorter. Dr. Kalvig in particular, has been taking care of our dog for the last 10 plus years. She has provided my family with caring, personal service and has always been there when we've needed her.
