I have taken all three of my dogs here, two were over 13 and eventually had to be put to sleep. They were very caring,I have seen both doctor Mander and the female vet. with my new pup, they have been wonderful, checking up to see how she was doing after her shots and so fourth.Very caring, very happy,

They don't listen to your concerns what so ever. Very pushy with selling food that is completely terrible for my cat, when looking at the ingredients and doing some research. They just want your money and push extra test to collect more. Terrible place will never bring my pets here.

Several years ago two wandering kittens showed up at our door hungry and ostensibly lost. We decided to take them in and chose to go to this clinic to have them properly checked out. The Vet recommended neutering the male and spaying the female. Sounded reasonable and we told him to go ahead. The only problem here is that THEY WERE BOTH MALE! The vet did not discover this until he had cut him open looking for his girly bits. He stitched the little guy up from this unnecessary operation and the incision became infected requiring antibiotics, and several more visits. I wish I could remember the vet's name as to warn off anyone else. I mean really, what veterinarian does not do a physical check for sex prior to cutting? Be warned.

Staff are friendly but service is pushy if you don’t agree with what they want you to do or if you ask questions about why a treatment is needed. Especially when it was done the year before and was explained as a three year treatment at that time. The only real good thing is the location. If you have the time and want a more honest service go elsewhere.

My dog needed surgery for Cruciate rupture. Went to seek second opinion regarding TPLO and TTA. Talked to Dr Mander regarding my options, he gave me the honest opinion and was very forthcoming regarding the costs and recovery and aftercare. I definitely recommend the facility. Very professional

The assistants were fine people, I give this terrible rating to the vet/owner of the facility Dr. Pushpinder Mander DVM. Because of this vet my dog suffered unnecessarily for many months while he collected many more funds from our family. You're an awful awful person!!!! Stop your practice!!!!

Vet care is expensive. I'm prepared for that. However, my dog was prescribed doxycycline for Lyme disease. There was none in stock at the vet clinic, so the vet wrote a prescription, which I took to Shoppers Drug Mart - $60 for a 2-week supply. He then needed an additional 2 weeks of treatment, so, this time I went to pick it up at the clinic. -$80.84 for a 2 week supply. When I questioned the cost difference, I was given several illogical explanations, none of which made any sense. The vet we have dealt with there is lovely. I have no doubt that the care is competent, but I cannot continue to be taken advantage of in this way. We have paid over $2000 for care of our two dogs in the past few months, for various problems, without a word of complaint, but this is my limit!

The staff at Fort Garry are the reason why I keep coming back, I live out of town and have no problem driving a half hour to come see them. The staff, Dr.Bhandari, Trish, Kristin and Cesaly are beyond WONDERFUL. I've never met a more caring team. Each and every staff member are pleasant and knowledgable. The office is always clean, and I am always taken right into the room without even a wait. This is the best veterinary clinic in Winnipeg with by far the best staff.

Beautiful, clean facility. The Doctor has always been very friendly and knowledgeable. Unfortunately one of the receptionists, Kristin I believe is her name can be quite rude. My fiance had stopped in for a refill of medication and she got quite irritated that we had not given 24 hours notice. It is not always possible for someone to give that much notice! for the most part we will give as much notice as possible but sometimes life happens, you get caught up in things and it can't be done. This will not stop us from returning to the clinic, the rest of the staff have always been friendly and have taken great care of our dog. It is unfortunate that one staff member may affect how others see the place.

Very nice, clean facility. The staff are friendly & knowledable. I rescued a mother & puppy Sept 2012. They both needed medical treatment & they were treated very well. I found a home for the puppy & kept the mother as she gets along with my 2 cats. This summer she caught Blastmycosis! The disease was quite advanced by the time I took her in. I almost lost her but Dr. Bhandari & staff were excellent in treating her. The Dr. was always in contact with me & explained everything in detail. She is still on medication but she is pulling through with no apparent side effects. I would highly recommend this clinic.

Not really happy with this VET. Took my dog for heart worm medicine and she got sick from it. So I called back and was told they won't be doing anything about it. Irresponsible....

The tip of our 1yr old dog's tail started cracking recently and we've been wrapping it for a few weeks now. My husband and I aren't sure what we should do beyond the constant wrap/bandage - clearly it isn't a long term solution. I explained the "back story" to the receptionist. Now speaking with a technician who had ‘been filled in on my intent to have my dog's tail docked’... This technician explained to me that the tail docking procedure is an amputation as it severs vertebrae. I had no idea, as this was the first time I had ever inquired about it. "You wouldn't want your back chopped off would you?", says the technician. Are you serious? I wasn't asking to have the tail chopped off for aesthetics, I'm simply asking for answers and help. Some advice Fort Garry Technician; when a pet owner mentions a procedure you don't agree with - bite your tongue, pull your head out from where the sun don't shine and do your job. Give advice, suggestions and answers.
You just lost a client.

..was very impressed with the place on the first visit...A lady brought in a very sick stray cat and the staff seemed to really rally around this poor animal to get it better. I thought that they cared a lot about its life. The vet tech that assisted was superb!

Beautiful Clean facility. Very professional and Great staff and Prices are quite reasonable. Like their free Nail Trims. Can't be happier. Vet is very knowledgeable. Will recommend to everybody who are looking for affordable professional care for their Pets.

The facility was beautiful and clean and the staff was amazing. The techs even offered to give me a tour so that when I come back for my dog's neuter I'll be comfortable with knowing where he is. When I mentioned what I thought is separation anxiety with my dog, they gave me material on it. I was very comfortable and confident with the care that my dog received and would highly recommend this place!

I took my dog to fort garry vet hosp as he had skin issues since about a year. Staff is very courteous and knowlegeable. Dr Braha spent lot of time listening to me and he was very thorough in examining my dog and I was quite impressed with his approach and recommendations. I have 2 more pets and Dr Braha is our regular vet now.

We brought our rat there because she was very sick. The place is clean,staff are caring and they did a fantastic job. I think this place is amazing and I highly recommend Fort Garry Animal Hospital!

I went in to get my dog spayed,and although the place looks nice and they are friendly, they made a lot of mistakes. First the place was empty, no other clients, which I thought was weird. Then they got the weight on my dog wrong by 15lbs, I didn't actually get to meet the vet until after the surgery when I complained that they were trying to sell me medication that was unnecessary. I am used to going to clinics where you actually talk to the vet, not just the techs! I will not go back, no matter how nice the place looks!

We took our cat to this clinic because it is in our neighborhood. The facility is very modern and clean. The receptionists and the technicians were very friendly. The prices seemed reasonable. However, our cat had a problem and we wanted the vet at Fort Garry,Dr. Braha, to treat the problem. Every time we saw Dr. Braha, he came up with a new diagnosis. Every treatment failed. Each time Dr. Braha said that he would have to try a more aggressive treatment. After 3 months we lost confidence in Dr. Braha. We took our cat to a different clinic. The vet at the other clinic came up with a correct diagnosis and a treatment that cured our cat.

Great service, friendly staff, gorgeous facility. This brand new clinic is sure to become a very popular care provider for area pets. We have moved our rescue's account to this clinic, and have absolutely nothing but glowing praise for the vets, staff, and facililty. We will confidently recommend this clinic to our adoptive families.
