Click to report rating    11/4/18   1     5     2     1   These guys rip you off. They took a deposit from me to do an valuation to see if my dog would need a surgery or meds would fix him up. I was told my dog will need surgery and I couldn’t afford it. They told me I wouldn’t have to pay anything other then my deposit they took if I would let them keep the dog. So I told them they can keep it if I don’t have to pay. Couple days later they start emailing and calling me to ask for money. When the deal was i wouldn’t have to pay for anything if they keep the dog. RID: 66985
Click to report rating    11/10/17   5     5     5     5   I take my 2 senior cats to Erindale. The new facility is very nice, the frontline staff have always been welcoming and professional. One cat had a dental extraction appointment and the day of her procedure I received a call that she had had a reaction to the Lidocaine spray. While I was worried, I appreciated the prompt communication and knew she was in the best hands. 11 extractions later upon discharge, the technician was clear with instructions and obviously cared about my cat. I believe Jackie was her name. I've seen Dr. Jones, Dr. Braaten, Dr. Lee (who was very gracious when my cat tried to bite her, urinated on her and continued to fight the exam/vaccines) and most recently Dr. Carmalt, who was very clear about her recommendations following what is most likely an athritis diagnosis. She was also very gentle and kind. Costs seem comparable to most clinics and I trust this team. RID: 65043
Click to report rating    10/16/17   4     5     5     4   I have taken my dog there multiple times within the past 4 months that we have had him. His breed is known for multiple health issues. Dr. Jones was willing to do all tests necessary to get to the bottom line of what was going on, it was very costly but worth it for his health. I have seen two other veterinarians at this office, they were nice but did not investigate into his health as far as Dr. Jones did.. I had asked a vet there if my pup was allergic to the diet they put him on and she stated he did not have enough signs of allergies. A week later, another veterinarian took my worries seriously and investigated by simply looking into his ears, noticing all signs of allergies present.. I must admit I am frustrated that there was not consistency in this regard for investigating his health. I will only be seeing Dr. Jones at this clinic unless it is an emergency.. she is by far the most knowledgeable and addresses all of my concerns. RID: 64854
Click to report rating    6/8/16   5     5     5     5   I have been taking my pets here for years. They are very through and explain thoroughly all the recommendations and the costs. They remember my pets' names and their likes and dislikes, and are excellent with fearful cats! They took the time to see my pet for "happy" visits where they just loved her up, offered her treats and had her perform some tricks until she became more comfortable with the hospital and the staff. She loves coming to the vet now despite starting life with several health problems! They want the best for your pet and offer that. If you cannot afford something they work with you so your pet gets the best care that you can afford. After an expensive illness Dr Jones devised a monitoring plan that I could afford and even lent me a scale and blood pressure machine overnight so I could monitor my pet's progress at home and get more accurate results. Dr Jones even took my pet home overnight after an anesthetic so she could watch her and ensure a smooth recovery! RID: 60797
Click to report rating    10/22/15   1     1     1     1   There is no amount I wouldn't pay for my pet in terms of his medical issues. But, the level of service received hardly helped swallow the $500 that was charged for an ear infection. Absolutely appalling that people who are "devoting their lives to animals" are more interested in monetary gain then the actual well being of the animals they are tending to. I would have preferred to enroll myself through Veterinary School then to bring my dogs presence to this facility. RID: 58759
Click to report rating    8/6/15   1     3     3     1   I had a simIlar experience to the first poster. Our cat who had mild kidney issues experienced kidney failure secondary to medications from surgery. The surgery was necessary, as were the meds for surgery. Sc fluids given which helped a lot, also paid for blood work which comfied the kidney failure. Took cat home and he improved a lot . Honestly wasn't really a need for blood work( done at same time as fluid) as her clinical judgement and treatment was right, treatment given prior to results of blood work, but I agreed to it, so can't fault her there, although I did regret the blood work. But what really irritated me were the numerous phone calls and messages asking me to go get more blood work later to make sure kidneys were okay, when clinically cat was obviously much improved and not in need of any clinical decision making.I never did go and cat was fine. Click to report rating    5/24/13   5     5     5     5   Dr Jones is awesome and one of the most caring Vets that has ever taken care of my dogs! Strongly recommend this clinic! RID: 42679
Click to report rating    5/3/13   5     5     4     5   This clinic is great!! I have been taking my dogs here for years. Dr. Jones is very thorough and caring. She took the time to get my dog to trust her enough to do the exam when all the other vets in the past insisted on muzzling him. All of the staff at the office are wonderful. RID: 42262
Click to report rating    2/25/12   5     5     5     5   I have been seeing Dr. Jones with my cats for about ten years now and followed her when she opened her own clinic. I can't say enough good things about her and the rest of the staff. She has gone above and beyond on several occaisions when my cats have been very sick. Some examples include taking my cat home with her at night so she could keep a close eye on him when he was very sick, sleeping over at the clinic three nights in a row to watch him and give him oxygen when he was having trouble breathing, calling and e mailing me multiple times during the day and night to update me on his progress, arranging for one of her collegues to look after him when she was out of town and kitty was too sick to go home. She has taken endless time to answer my questions and give me information. I could go on about what a wonderful vet and person she is...If you love your pets and want the best possible care for them take them to Dr. Vivienne Jones at Erindale Animal Hospital. RID: 32480
Click to report rating    1/17/11   3     5     4     2   Our cat was spayed here and they did an excellent job, she was back to her normal routine within 24 hrs. However when we took her in because she wasn't feeling good, the vet tried to convince us to do hundreds of dollars worth of testing to "rule out" various causes. We ended up taking the conservative treatment against the vet's recommendation and the cat was fine within 12 hours. They definitely want your money at this clinic, so get a second opinion, the extra examination fee of a second vet will save you hundreds in unecessary treatments and tests. RID: 22125
