This vet's main goal is to make a profit, not to take care of pets. They are run like a corporation or factory, and care more about your wallet than your pet. They encouraged me to book and pay for many unnecessary exams, and did not tell me when I was doing something that was not healthy for my cat when they literally saw me do it in the clinic during one examination. They will skirt the truth to avoid upsetting a customer - if the cat I got is not a maine coon, let me know. If I am feeding my cat too many treats, let me know. If I bring my cat in for a hangnail because I am a first time pet owner and don't know better, let me know. Yes, that would mean less money for you, but the fact that you didn't made me lose my trust for you once I talked to friends with pets and found out that that wasn't normal.

Excellent... I highly recommend this clinic. I was raised a farm girl, so pets illnesses were dealt with in harsh realities of the time. So when my pets became ill, I struggled with decisions. My 5-year old little Zak injured his knee, so I was a walk-in on a Saturday. Busy day, Dr. Bowen, is a gentle kind vet, talking to Zak and taking him through the crisis to get him referral to surgeon, and yes, a firm but gentle lecture on owner's discipline in the diet dept. Zak is happily doing wonderful now and has lost 5 pounds. Weeks later, my 13 year old Himalayan cat Zenna, we shared the experience of decision to let her go to pet heaven. Albeit, my responsibilities as a pet owner I should have brought her in sooner, Dr. Bowen offered me all avenues of care for Zenna and advised she would respect whatever decision and time I needed with her. I think this says a lot. The staff are incredibly kind and considerate.

We have been taking our cats to Mill Creek for about 7 years and have always been happy with the clinic. Although the vets rotate regularly (as far as we can tell, Jill is the only constant on staff so we think she actually owns the place), all the vets we have seen have been great with the cats. Only one vet seemed less confident, but we felt she was very recently graduated. It is important to me to have the vet examine my cat in front of me, and not take it away out of sight (as happened in a previous vet clinic I went to - once only - and the cat was returned in an aweful state) so that I can see how the vet behaves. Mill Creek vets have all been kind, caring and considerate of the cats, and clearly enjoy looking after them. I would definitely recommend Mill Creek to others.

I have been taking my 2 cats and 1 dog here for a few years. The only complaint I would have is that I never know which vet I will be seeing. I think I've seen a different vet every time I've gone. It would be nice to have more consistency. That said, all the vets I've seen have been good.

Staff are excellent and the clinic is efficiently operated. We have been using the clinic for many years and though there have been changes in staff, the clinic has always maintained a high standard of care.

Kind of interesting how when there is a negative review on this Vet Strategy Corporate practice that there is 5 generic positive reviews for each of their clinics written in the past week! (Morinville, Mission Ridge, Mill Creek and Killarney Cat)- I think these positive reviews are bogus and written by staff members as there really is a lot of turnover there lately- I never see the same face twice!

Brought one dog in for vaccinations. Staff are pleasant and very nice to dog. Service was a bit pricey, but thorough, caring, and informative. We will come again.

Good clinic. The staff genuinely care and often arrange events like group dog walks in the valley or dental health month with specials on dental work. Parking can be a problem but the location is convenient.

Great clinic, great staff. Always a pleasure going there. I've been going there for years and they have always gone above what they need to for me and my animals. They are a great community veterinary clinic.

Turn over of vets is of serious concern. Seems like every time we go we see a different vet and our previous vet is gone from the clinic No continuity.

I have brought my cat here a few times over the years for various reasons, they have always managed to get me in ASAP and the staff were very friendly with her and professional. I was not impressed however with their high-sell drive, they are definitely going to attempt to sell you/push on you whatever they can to make that extra money. In the beginning I took the bait and bought the food, however within a week it caused my cat to become so impacted I had to spend $100 to bring my cat in to fix the problem they caused with the food to begin with. They of course denied it could of been the food despite the obvious connection and recommended another food they carry. If you need a checkup or something this is a good place, but make sure your comfortable asserting yourself with a strong NO.

I recently took my timid dog into the Millcreek vet because she had cut her foot. While she started out as a very tense patient, the vet put her at ease and by the end of the appointment she was lying on her back on the examining table asking for tummy rubs. I was pleased not only with how adeptly she was treated but also with the options I was given for treatment. The staff was also very accommodating in a last minute request for an appointment.

Twice have had staff try to charge us for unauthorized testing. When we said the first time we did not want general testing to be done on our very happy and healthy dog we were harassed at home with phone calls on two occasions trying to convince us to change our mind. Then it happened again the next time we went in 6 weeks later we were presented with a bill for $285 for tests we had already told them several times we did not want. Will never go back there again!

We recently had our ten year old Lab in for some fairly major surgery at Millcreek. The vets and staff were wonderful. They obviously truly care about the animals they take care of. They went way beyond the call of duty and helped ease a very sressful situation. Thank you all.

I have been going here with my 2 dogs for the past 4 years. The first 3 were fine, but in the last year they hired a new vet, and despite my requesting to NOT see him, every time I show up, there he is somehow. I have had numerous bad experiences and it is somewhat my own fault for continuing going back there. The most recent case - my 10 year old dog started yelping when she was outside running around. I called the mill creek because they knew her history and it was an emergency. I brought her in. When this guy walked through the door I knew it was a mistake. After an examination, he started mumbling to himself, saying "whats wrong with you?", obviously at this point I was getting worried. He then started rambling on about some syndrome and didn't even explain it! He had to keep leaving the room to consult with another vet! He had NO idea what he was doing! and yet I still had to pay full price for this inexperienced guy. All this and it was just a strained muscle in her neck!

I found the vets and staff most helpful and considerate. I had a dog that needed a knee operation and couldn't afford the $3000-plus. As one of the vets was being trained in the procedure, they used my dog as the "guinea pig" and did not charge me. The operation turned out fine. Watch out for medication charges, however. A week's worth of anti-inflamatories set me back $70 plus. Coated ASA would have done the trick almost as well for a tenth of the price.

I have used this clinic for three dogs for two years now. I had to have one of my dogs put down and they were very kind. Another time I took my dog in because he ate something at the park that I did not recognise. They were able to assure me that he had not eaten poison - no charge. The vets always seem competent and pleasant. The last contact I had with them was when I took a newborn mouse in that had become separated from its mother. They took it and disposed of it for me no charge. Sometimes I have to wait, but hey - it's a small clinic and I can't get in the exam room until the person before me gets out - depends on how much time they need, and I have been the recipient of a longer-than-standard meeting myself, after all.

My cat had a skin tag (nothing) but thought it might be a parasite so wanted a vet to have a look. Took 3 minutes and was $75.00. They are not about building clients, Will not buy the food or the services here again. My last bill here was over $400 for draining an infection, so it's not like I don't spend money at the place
