With all honesty, this vet is Completely and utterly unreliable in emergency situations. Refused to even look up dog's records in a life or death emergency. I cant really comment on monetary value aspect. Stopped using this vet after refusal to help in emergency. I personally would never turn my back on ANY animal in need. Did not focus on best interest of the patient.

Jeffrey Karpf came to put my dog to sleep. It turned into a nightmare. To begin with his cell phone was ringing constantly, he never bothered to put it on vibrate (or better yet not to bring it in). Although he knew my dog had a massive brain tumor and was having constant seizures he insisted on explaining the various treatments available and their success rates. His overall demeanor was inappropriate and cold (there were 4 other people present and we all agree). But the worst part was when it came time to put her to sleep. When he went to give her the second injection(after the first to relax her) she sprang up and tried to jump out of my daughter's arms, yelping and crying in pain. Jeffrey appeared to be totally dumbfounded by the situation, and uncertain as how to proceed. We are all traumatized by his callous, inept handling of the situation. If you care about your pet never let this man near it.
