I just had my Basset Hound neutered on Friday, that evening he started swelling so I iced it and when it didn’t stop. It took 20 minutes to get to Guardian in Edmonton, he suffered for another hour before he was met with a very loud and unprofessional Vet. My dog was snapping and growling from pain and they wanted me to take him home and bring him back if things progressed. That was so… stupid I could not believe she said that to me. I insisted they keep him for the night to monitor him. Now here is the Kick in the head I got from my dear Leduc Pet Hospital. I phoned them Saturday morning explaining what had happened the night before and I requested that a vet from the Pet Hospital phone Guardian Vet hospital and get the full details of his condition. That never happened and some vet named Cindy never returned my call until they were closed. So now my Basset Hound was forced to come home with me and suffer until I got him help at another Veterinary hospital today.

They've always been good to us and our pets. Thanks especially to Dr. Fisher for her help in caring for a nasty wound on our dog's leg (as well as his numerous other ailments). We appreciate all you do!

Was told to hold off on paying the bill for 30 days by Dr. Fisher because she was doing an ongoing investigation on what was wrong with my pup. Every 30 days same symptoms. So Dr. Fisher says hold off on paying until next visit (30 days from now) this way it's on the books as one visit, no re-check fee, no consult fee. During the 30 days a friend of mine took her dog in. Front desk held her dog refusd to give him back until I paid the bill in full. I reffered her to this vet hospiatl and she was on my paper work as someone who could act on my behalf. So I get an upset phone call at work to pay. I said check with Dr. Fisher it's only been 3 weeks but front desk staff refused. We both attend a different clinc now.

I have been going here for years. The staff is exceptional. I've seen several veterinarians here and they have all been knowledgable, friendly and honest. Dr. Fisher & Dr. Casper have researched for me after hours & were in constant contact when my pets were hurt or sick. The vets here have squeaked me in when I had serious concerns on a Friday afternoon but are somehow always very prompt with appointments. They take a genuine interest in your pet. The clinic is clean, up to date and well maintained. Any lab work has to be sent away (results in 3-4 business days) and they now differ emergency services to Guardian Veterinary Centre (south side, Edmonton). The other vet clinic in Leduc also does this. The Leduc Veterinary Hospital is also known as the preferred veterinarian facility in Leduc. With the time, excellent care and attention they offer, I can certainly see why that's the case. Even while living in Edmonton, this is where I bring my animals.

They quote $1300 to $1800 for dental work for our dog. When they are done they hand us a bill for $2411. This is not the first time they have done this to us. Take our advice and go to different vet. That's what we are going to do. Unethical is the best word we can use right now.

Awesome experience. Took my dog in for a dental and they did a great job making sure we considered options like preanesthetic testing and IV fluids. The technicians and receptionists were very friendly and knowledgable. I will definitely be going back.

Do not provide pet owners with enough information, charge too much for small services and do not provide many standard services - everything is 'farmed out' to other clinics.
