They are expensive, but they give value for the money. I've taken numerous animals to VERGI, and tgey have always treated them with compassion. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else in an after hours emergency.

Excessive prices. Use only as a last resort. I have used this hospital twice. Latest time: urinary cathider with associated meds and a two day stay - over $1500. They would not release the cat to me with the cathider in place. Essentially holding him hostage for most of the money.

We took our golden retriever to Vergi ER 4 times over a 5 month period. First time was after a seizure. The staff were very kind and helpful. Woody stayed the night and we were updated on his condition. Our last visit was a week ago. Woody was having multiple seizures as we had been warned would happen as his brain tumor grew. It was a terrible drive to the ER Woody was having another seizure as we arrived. Staff rushed to take Woody into treatment area while receptionist lead us into a private room. The doctor and staff were very professional and compassionate. We were able to spend time with Woody allowing our sons to say good bye. The doctor and staff explained what would occur and treated Woody with kindness and dignity. Today in the mail we received a sympathy card from VERGI. I believe that the cost is appropriate just as we pay more to visit a hospital emergency room you will pay more to take your pet to the vet ER.

The get your pet and drum up a huge bill before they ever provide you with a diagnosis. When you object to pay their "estimated charges", without a diagnosis and treatment protocol, they start the condensending tone of acting like they will not treat your pet and hold you hostage for over an hour in a room off to the side and you are not allowed to be with your pet during this time.I had to question each treatment option to only receive "guess" on what was wrong for treatment. They never did tell me what was wrong. To add insult to injury, they did not have paperwork ready for me so after he died I had to stay there for an hour as they tried to figure out how much more to charge me. The final bill was a few hundred dollars over the high end of the estimate. My dog died and I had to pay extra for the experience. I would avoid this place at all costs.

This "hospital" nearly killed my dog. She had been spayed and the incision opened a tiny amount. I took her to this hospital and they immediately took her in the back. Three hours later, I found out they had not even begun to work on her. I left with her and took her too another veterinarian who found that her intestines had come out of the hole and were now black and necrotic. Luckily, the other vet was able to save her after removing 11" of dead intestine. Avoid at all costs.

The get your pet and drum up a huge bill. When you object, they start the shady car salesman tactics of offering lesser service for a little off the bill. It took us refusing their suggested treatments 4 times just to get the animal back so that we could take it elsewhere. That process took over 5 hours to get the animal back.

I love this place! They saved my dogs life, if you put a price on that there is something wrong with you. They are the only clinic with anti-venom (antivenin) in stock and when its life or death for your best friend who would choose money? Thank you all so much, Dr. Garcia, Charity and Anna were so great in treating my dog!

Verg has a bad habit of holding their clients hostage if they can't afford the cost of their pet's care. They expect money up front and if you don't have it, their version of a payment plan is Care Credit, which is one of the most corrupted credit card companies out there. If you don't qualify for care credit, then they expect you to call around to family and friends to pay the bill. This type of practice needs to be investigated because it doesn't help the client in any way, shape or form to be able to care for their pet. They won't even consider working with you in terms of coming up with a different payment method. It's incredible to me that they would want you to pay, in full, an bill that is ESTIMATED and not a true bill of service.

Brought our two dogs in tonight for snake bites. We are still here several hours later and they want us to pay $3400 for an anti-venom and some additional services that were not explained other then what they think the best case would be. We said forget it and they said to wait and they would rework the estimate....still waiting....I feel like I'm getting worked over pretty good here. My honest opinion, go somewhere else.

I went to VERGI where they took my cat in mins person working on my cat was asking if fee of $350 had been paid. A tech ask us to another room. The doc explained the injuries and another tech would explain the est. A tech came with an est of $1200 low side and $2700 high side. We said we would take our cat home. the doctor came and explained the cat had blood in his air tube and strongly suggested leave the cat for $1700. I called twice checking on the cat and was told I could pick up cat in the am. I called to arrange discharge and was told he needed a test and it would cost $350 w/fees. I ask to pick up my cat and was told they would call me with charges. I called and was told that I had $362 credit but they recc. that I leave my cat for another day for an add $850. I refused and sent my roomate to pick up cat, my credit was $182. We went to our vet who examined him, went thru their docs and gave us meds for $52. I feel VERGI IS A RIPOFF, AND THEY PREY OFF THIER CUSOMERS EMOTIONS.
