On Oct 9, 2021, I desperately raced to Rt. 8 to Waterbury, CT.,& arrived to bonded Chow Chow pair - Bella & Rumple's home to see the 'Final Journey' Van parked on the lawn. I stood on the path to show we were ready to receive the Dogs. "Dr. Klie" stood smug on porch announcing,"It's too late to reverse the process." It was 11:30 am - she was due at 11:15 am. I had gotten lost along the way. Earlier the family received word from me that we had secured a home in Danbury with a Chow savy lady. The family argued and I was told, 'They (Parents) made their decision to PTS then the guy who had reached out to us on Oct. 4, 2021 as their new apartment did not welcome Pets, hung up. So I raced to rescue Bella & Rumple, anyway. SO now, I stood there in shock, disbelief & mourning. True HORROR. ***CT Legislation*** allows for Vets & Dr. Klie of "FINAL JOURNEY", to decline a Euthanization. Bella & Rumple were in perfect health AND with a loving home awaiting them. RID: 70201

She’s totally unethical and will kill your dog with a smile for you! She should not be a vet and should be sanctioned for her actions of putting healthy dogs with adopters lined up through rescue- but nope- rather than do the right thing she kills them for you- so if you’re looking for that and a terrible person Dr Kristen Klie is your girl!! This was the hardest thing for me to do and Kris and Connie were very compassionate and understanding throughout the entire process. I wouldn't have changed one thing, I wanted Simons last moment to be in his favorite room, on his favorite couch and sitting on my lap. They allowed me as much time as I needed and treated Simon with such gentle care every step of the way. I am so grateful for them helping me through such a difficult time. RID: 64791
Click to report rating    2/21/14   5     5     5     5   Dr. Kristen A. Klie and her assistant were a godsend to me. My beautiful Lola was at the end of her days and it was time to end her suffering. I found Dr Klie and spared Lola the trauma of packing her up in a carrier and a car ride to the vet. She passed quietly on her blanket in her own home. Dr. Klie was so compassionate and had every detail covered. I highly recommend her. RID: 49984
Click to report rating    8/30/12   5     5     5     5   thank you dr. klie - you and your staff provided us with so much comfort in supporting us on a most difficult journey ----- you responded to my calls 3 months prior to abby's passing - and when the time truly came to loose our most valued friend, you provided a service that i will forever be indebted to...... that you wrapped her so lovingly and left her beautiful little face exposed.....gave us - steve and i - so much comfort....she left us in the place she loved, you allowed us time to share some of her memories with you, and gave us time to grieve her post passing.....thank you for the beautiful card you sent to us...it was personalized, and meant so much......as for now, we only go each day missing the friend that left us too soon.....thank you for the dignity she deserved..... Click to report rating    9/28/10   1     5     1     1   This is an at-home-euthanasia-service run by Dr. Kristen A. Klie, advertised as a gentle method of transition for the animal. The dog is said to feel just a temporary sting or pinch when the sedative is injected. My dog screamed in agony and, as old & arthritic as she was, managed to flee the room in an attempt to escape what was being done to her, screaming as she ran. A conversation with Dr. Klie the following week (to try to learn what had gone wrong) yielded the name of a drug she "always" uses for sedation. I then learned from other vets that this drug is extremely painful for the dog to have injected, followed by painful burning a moment later. It is NOT appropriate for a pain-free euthanasia. My dog suffered from the moment of the injection until she fell under the drug's sedative effect a few minutes later. Dr. Klie has no office, but renders services to those who want their pets to die painlessly at home. At Dr. Klie's hands, my dog's pain was the worst she had ever known. RID: 19964
