They do not care about your pets! Practice is not the same since Dr. Close left, the new owner is a SNAKE. Very condescending when we had any questions during the appointment. Had to wait 20 minutes past our appointment time and then the vet barely looked at our dog before he gave her the shots and rushed us out the door THEN overcharged us for the appointment when we were quoted lower over the phone. Avoid this place!!

I love the care that my animals get at Close Vet Clinic. I have recommended this clinic to all my family and friends. My dog just had surgery there and he could of not gotten better care. They really care about the animals and I know I have paid a lot more and the care has not been as good. Thanks vets and staff. You all do an excellent job and the animals appreciate it.

I have always been a dog owner and been a client of Dr Bob Close for 30 yrs. Truly a great man and cares deeply for your pets. HOWEVER, I have major complaint and issues since we had our Viszla spayed last month 03, 2017 by this new guy Dr Gaborone Magyar that is working there now as well. Was quoted over the phone ( seemed fair )and booked a month prior. I'll try to make this short as word limited to 1000. In all VERY disappointed with the whole process as a whole. Not by Dr Close but by Magyar and staff (which are very rude, the brunette in particular is a trouble and no one say's hello when you walk in. ok so after surgery we go pick up and we are charged extra $187.oo for "mature Dog" they call it. They knew her age when they quoted us. I did not make a scene as it was a busy day, paid and left. $680.00. this morning went for heartworm and had a chat with Dr Close. He called in the brunette and said you can't do that and refund me. I will continue, almost out of room now.

I've always had a great experience with animal care for all my pets. I find that Emily is very approachable and very knowledgeable when it comes to animals, she is the only one (other than the vet) that I feel confident to talk to about my pets care. I'd rate the staffing as a "5" if it were just for her however I no longer take my dog there to be groomed due to the poor/rude behaviour from the groomer. The groomer made it very obvious that she dreads grooming my dog every time. I do not suggest this place for grooming unless they change her attitude and rapport. Other than that, I would suggest Close Vet clinic for the animal care.

Very Bad experience! Or should I rather say Horrible! My poor baby had to suffer because of these monsters. They donot Care for the pets but are only focused on filling their pockets. I am complaining against their service and attitude. I ll never let my dog be harmed by them again!

They just don't make 'em like they used to! Dr. Close is not in it for the money, he genuinely cares about animals and will not let one leave his clinic in pain, just because their owner cannot afford the treatment. He will work with you, within your budget, if you are financially strapped, something practically unheard of these days. He does a lot of work with rescue organizations and the Kitchener Humane Society. His regular rates are low, compared to other vets in the area. He and his staff are very gentle, compassionate and caring toward animals. We have had many positive experiences dealing with this clinic, from routine shots, to complicated surgeries. We are so grateful we found Dr. Close years ago, when our vet at the time retired. If I could rate him a 6 out of 5, I would. To sum it up in three simple words... BEST VET EVER!

I have been a client of this clinic since its opening. I have 3 dogs and 4 cats and often strays that need medical help. Bob and his staff have always treated me and my animals with respect and care. The $$ I am charged are often minimal. My pets are part of my family and I feel they are treated well here.

Treatment for wound. Uncommunicative demeanor, suspicious (I took a picture of the scale?). Impatient and flustered. Final straw was him shaking so badly that he stabbed my dog in the wound twice before I physically intervened. "this is simple, you don't know what you're talking about" - I replied "then she can do it, I'm not comfortable with you shaking like that inside my dog" - more accusations of not knowing what I was talking about along with "I work 70 hours a week...." - why does someone of retirement age need to work all the time and shake so badly? I know that shake, my grandfather had it. Because someone tries doesn't mean they are up with the times and knowledge, or capable of treating your dog. I walked out because I wouldn't let this man treat my dog. He called to apologize, and when I tried to tell him it would help if communicated what he was doing it would help - he wouldn't hear it - lost cause unfortunately. AVOID

I have a great Dane with idopathic seizures. Was put on potassium bromide, which caused SEVERE stomach distress, he advised lowering the dosage to build up his tolerance. After a week of throwing up and losing 15 lbs, I asked for him to be put on sodium bromide instead. He was unaware of this compound. Later, we added phenobarb and had blood work done to monitor bromide levels, except he sent in blood work for a chloride test, not bromide. I ended up paying $50 for incorrect blood work. Ive changed vets. Do not recommend.

I don't recommend this clinic. The vet is an old gal and didn't have enough knowledge . I was asked to do x rays and treatment that didn't help my cat. I will never take my pets there again.
