All of the doctors at Hawthorne Animal Hospital are wonderful. They review the charts before they walk into the exam room so that they are prepared to ask questions about previous problems or concerns. They are well-read on current research so that they can make the best recommendations for food, medicines, vaccines, etc. My 13-year-old dog is still running and playing happily thanks to years of their care. They've carefully monitored his aging and started medication only when necessary, giving me advice on exercise, food, and vitamins to delay the need for medication. And they're honest - they don't tell you you're doing great just to keep your business. When my 6-year-old put on 4 pounds in a year I was told to reduce her food and exercise her more, and given advice about how to manage having food out with two dogs competing. When her teeth showed tartar I was told which kind of rawhides to buy and how often to feed them because I'd been using ones that weren't thick enough.
