I feel very lucky to have Dr. Barton as a vet! He is always friendly, and always treats the animals and their owners with care, calmness, fairness, and compassion. Even when my dog and cat had to be put down due to age and ailments, they were empathetic and caring. They did not rush me, or the procedures. They have always fit me in when my animals/fur-babies needed to be seen urgently, and have always given options as to their care. I'm very thankful for Dr. Barton, and his staff, and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

I really like Dr. Barton and the staff at Ermineskin Clinic. They are all friendly, Dr. Barton is knowledgeable and willing to have discussions with us about the care of our dog and cat. He's never pushed us for additional tests/treatment that were not necessary, and always explains fully explains things. Have had to wait for an appointment, but never more than half an hour, and I know from seeing the vet bills from other clinics that his prices are average at worst.

I brought my healthy cat for what was described as a "low risk" dental procedure. Shortly after 5 of the day of the dental operation, an assistant in the office handed me a "sleeping cat" that had taken "quite well" to the anaesthetic. I was told to bring the cat back in the morning if he wasn't "up and around". At 8 that evening, I checked on the cat and realized that the cat was essentially paralyzed and had not ability to stand or walk. At 10 that evening I took the cat to a 24 hour emergency clinic and in discussisions with staff there, that the cat's behavior at 5 when I picked up the cat was completely inconsistent with normal post operation behavior. While it will never be possible to know what occurred in this "low risk procedure", I find it completely unprofessional--perhaps gutless--to not provide me with honest information about the cat's condition. I had to have the cat euthanized within 24 hours because the cat's paralysis and need for an oxygen tent.

Dr. Barton & his staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They treat you like your pet is their only patient. The facilities are small, but clean. The staff are professional, yet caring and compassionate. You can tell they all love animals.
