Click to report rating    2/4/19   1     2     3     1   profit driven practice. overdiagnosed and overtreated my dogs on multiple occasions just for monetary gain. in the end when I questioned some proposed treatment the dr threatened to report me to spca. this clinic and doctors working in it are just malicious and unethical. RID: 67313
Click to report rating    10/3/17   1     2     2     1   All about the money and nothing to do with pet health. The front staff makes an effort but their inexperience is very obvious. RID: 64781
Click to report rating    4/28/17   5     5     5     5   Very impressed with the courtesy and knowledge of the technicians, who must be a great asset to the Vets. I have confidence in the skill and attention given to my dog at this facility, and will continue to visit them as the occasion arises. RID: 63478
Click to report rating    6/27/13   1     1     1     1   Worst Vet Clinic I have taken my pets to. They are all about greed and overcharging as much as they can. It is sad to see places take advantage of families who will do anything for their pets. Cold staff. RID: 43345

Click to report rating    3/22/12   5     5     5     5   My 6-year-old rescue dog is my first and only pet who means the world to me, so I'm super paranoid about making sure she has the best care and attention. And for that, the Burnaby Vet Hospital is awesome! I started bringing her to Dr. Richter back in 2009 when I first moved back to Vancouver and I haven't gone anywhere else since. In the last few years, I've taken her in for routine checkups, dental work and minor surgery...not to mention an emergency run to the clinic for anti-skunking supplies. Yes, it's true. There are some things my dog just refuses to figure out. :) Dr. Richter and her staff are great! They have been very helpful over the last few years, with accommodating schedules and fair prices. I'm very glad to have found them so soon after we moved here. RID: 33054
Click to report rating    10/21/11   5     4     4     4   I have been using this Clinic for over 20 years, and have found both the Vets and staff to be caring - and provide excellent value. RID: 28488
12/28/10   1     5     1     1   Dr.Neil McIntyre at the Burnaby Veterinary Hospital saw two of our cats for a check-up. After charging us 70 for each cat, he literally took 20 seconds to look each over. That was the exam we paid for. After outlining our concerns (one kitty had scratched her eye, one had blood in his stool and specific symptoms). He charged us 20 dollars for a single eye drop (not needed) and then 120 for eye medication (the only thing I'm no sorry I paid for). He then took the temperature of my other cat's rear...then, literally ignoring our descriptions of the cats symptoms immediately prescribed revolution flea medication. I asked if it would kill all kinds of worms, as I was suspicious it was worms. He said YES, when it in fact doesn't. Our cat had no fleas and didn't have what the medicine took care of - a second professional opinion called the veterinary advice ridiculous with our description of symptoms. THANK YOU FOR OVERCHARGING, BEING AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE, AND PROLONGING MY CATS PAIN RID: 21625
Click to report rating    12/10/10   5     5     4     4   They provide excellent advice, with all the options and aren't pushy. Outstanding treatment of our dog, one of the only vets to act appropriately with a 120lb dog. RID: 21355
Click to report rating    11/23/10   5     5     5     5   I have been dealing with this vet for 20 years. They are like my pets extended family. Pet owners bare some responsibility to ask questions of the care givers to make sure their pet is going to be looked after properly. Be Proactive???. I have had nothing but good experiences with this Burnaby veterinary clinic. They consistently have given excellant service. Regards RID: 21027
Click to report rating    10/10/10   1     1     1     1   I visited this location for a grooming for my dog and we received the worst possible service. Not only did the groomer and Vet not contact us to indicate any concerns, but the groomer went ahead and groomed only half of my dog. She then contacted us to say that she could no longer finish the job. So, my dog looked like he was half groomed and they wanted to charge us for the whole service!!! We asked why they did not contact us if they did not think they were competent enough to do the job and they had no response. I was told they used a rabies pole on my dog to get him to stay, which they felt was humane but we were shocked to hear. If you love your pet, please do not bring your business here. My dog has been traumatized from this incident. RID: 20184
