Being a customer for the last 7 years I am deeply disappointed with the recent experience I had with them. My dog needed a teeth cleaning, and instead of simply scheduling the appointment, the staff at River City Pets refused to give us the time of day.
The most frustrating part is that they insisted on a wellness check-up first, which made no sense to me. Our dog had a check-up less than 12 months ago at the very same clinic. In fact, it was during that visit that they recommended the teeth cleaning we are now trying to schedule.
It's disheartening to see that this once-reliable veterinary clinic now seems more interested in making money off unnecessary procedures than in providing quality care for our beloved pets. I expected better service from a place where we've entrusted our dog's health for so many years.
Unfortunately, due to this negative experience, I will be looking for a new veterinary clinic that puts the well-being of our pets first, rather than focusing on pro

Brought my little girl Yorkie, Lulu, in for dental cleaning. They did a great job and treated her so well!

I wish they would clean the examination table before I put my dog up on it. The last two time it has been very dirty. Next time I will do it myself if it is still in the same condition.

River City Vet is always so helpful and kind to us. There are many vets closer to my home but I gladly make the drive to the best vet and pet resort in the Treasure Valley. I never worry about my dog's well being because I know River City cares for all animals that enter their doors. I also love how sweet the front desk girls are on the phone and in person, it makes things so pleasant.

Love this vet practice. Have used them for both of our dogs. Great care!! We just located from California and was worried about vet care. We now feel we are in great hands. The practice is great-from the front desk, to the techs to the vets. All very caring and compassionate people. Will definitely recommend to anyone who needs a vet.

This is the best clinic! They have treated all six of my animals; my family and I have been so pleased with our experiences, ranging from vaccinations, grooming, boarding to serious surgeries. The Veterinarians at this office have great educations, great experience and really care about the animals (and they care about the animals people and their pocketbooks!)! And, the staff is so nice and always so helpful! Thank goodness I found them because my animals deserve the best and River City Veterinarian Hospital really is the best!!!

Great service and staff, but pricey and they like to run a lot of expensive tests every visit. I love my pets, but being on a fixed income, the price of these recommended tests is painful. Plus they don't like you to purchase meds from sources other than them, which can be very difficult if you are traveling and need to purchase more.
