Very disappointing experience. My dog Zip was prescribed prednisone together with diclofenac. I raised concerns about this combination, as my boyfriend is a physician and warned it may not be appropriate long term, but the treatment was continued.
Soon after, my dog developed a painful corneal ulcer. Watching her in discomfort was heartbreaking.
When I called to bring her in the same day for this urgent issue, I was told there would be a $500 emergency exam fee just to be seen, not including treatment. Given that this complication followed their prescribed medications, I found this response insensitive and lacking accountability.
At a moment when compassion and sound judgment matter most, I felt dismissed and taken advantage of. I cannot recommend this clinic

Dr. Silverman is an embarassment to the veterinary professional another cog in the wheel of the "eye care mafia" in Southern California, who all circle their wagons when one of the makes a series of enormous errors.
So, just so everyone out there knows, these doctors, who are at best marginally qualified are performing eye surgeries which they know are highly risky. Apparently the only good option is to take your animal to UC Davis which has a proper medical center. Anything else is basically playing russian roulette with your pet.
But when you actually want them to stand behind their work, and in this case, to perform a life saving surgery which they had already provided a quote for, and said was an emergency (also a lie), they will go behind your back and without permission contact the prior medical professional to collude with them, and then in the end deny care.
