All she was ever after was money!! Quoted price 3x the amount compared to other vets. Pretty obvious it's not the well-being of animals she is looking out for rather #1 which is herself and her greed for money!!! I should have checked here first rather she manipulated me by working on my emotions and I ended up giving in because of the time sensitivity that my pet is suffering and would die!! What a bunch of BS!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr Tait and the staff at Best Friends. From the initial diagnosis to the on going care for Skittles our small dog, they demonstrated expertise and compassion in there service. I can honestly say I was a little unsure with the original diagnosis but Dr Tait was confident and did not rush to do xrays or bloodwork both of which can be costly. In the end she was proven correct and in the process saved us hundreds of dollars. It was real nice to work with a Vet whose primary concern was the health of our dog and not billable hours.

Doctors and staff treat my pets like their own! Everytime I come in the door, the reception staff always recognize my pets and give them a warm welcome.

Brought my senior Calico cat for secondary opinion and basically hospice care. My 17 year girl already had two surgery's for mammary cancer. Where I had been taking her before was mostly an emergency surgery clinic and had the environment was very hectic and my girl was very fearfull. Knowing this history Dr Tait, Tara and everyone did there best to offer Ginny a friendly and peaceful process. She didn't warm up to them but wasn't terrified and returned to normal as soon as we arrived home. We have monthly appointments scheduled so that we can monitor and ensure my little furry kid can continue living with a playful pain free last months. At my request we went a little faster on the second appointment and although a towel was used for restraint my cats swearing was at the minimum this time. Really appreciate the patience and concern shown and reassurance that the vet is looking out for my cat firstly than myself as the owner. Thank you Best Friends for caring, it shows, you care.

I will never EVER go back to this clinic! After waiting over an hour, the exam took less than a minute. she was harsh, mean and handled my rabbit roughly. Dr. Nancy called me 'inhumane' and 'terrible' when i refused to euthanize my bunny for minor head tilt. I was told that she was (or was going to be) in unbearable pain and would only live another few months at most. Not wanting to kill my beloved pet who was not currently in pain, I went to another clinic for second opinion. My new vet showed me FOUR separate ear infections(a different bacterial infection in each ear and a yeast infection in each), and TWO ruptured ear drums that Nancy had missed. I was given antibiotics twice and now she is health and thriving and her hearing is coming back (Nancy missed that she was deaf. If if were up to BF Hospital, my rabbit would be dead.

I am so grateful to not only have found this clinic, but to actually live close by. The support staff are fantastic. I can drop in to the clinic at any time (and often do!) and they know me by name and all make an effort to talk to me and ask how my fur babies are doing. I go to Best Friends to see Dr. Gould, whom I trust with my pets' lives unconditionally. But I am also comfortable seeing Dr. McQuade. Dr. M accommodated me a few years back during an emergency, even though the clinic was fully booked that day. She quite possibly saved my dog's life. Dr. Gould is absolutely fantastic and I would recommend her to any one with pets. I am grateful for all of the staff at Best Friends.

My dog went here for all of his life, when first meeting Mcquade months after our first dog died she told us that maybe if we would have fed him better food he would have lived longer. Went there a couple days ago with out dog she has been seeing from years and he was very sick. She told us he had rat poisoning and started acting very weird. She then said maybe you should go to pembina where they can do different blood tests and give him a transfusion which will safe him. Vets at pembina told us se was wrong he has autoimmune and his white blood cell count is dangerously low. Our dog had to be out down

Been going to Dr McQuade with our pets for 8 years. She has been great with our cat, our chinchillas, our dog and did what she could for our degus, which no vet really knew what to do with. She genuinely seems to enjoy animals. The front staff & vet assistants are friendly and knowledgeable. The only issue, which I know isn't totally their fault, is punctuality. Day time appointments are usually on time, evening...luck of the draw.

Avoid like the plague for one reason Nancy McQuade. She supports the new animal by-law banning animals like hedgehogs, many reptiles, some parrots . . . What kind of a vet would do that. I used to take my dog to her too and she was aweful. Dog nearly died thanks to her stupidity.

I adopted a rescued dog recovering from a fractured pelvis. My adoption fee included spay, immunization, at this particular hospital, else I'm sure I would have gone to the clinic we had been using for our last 2 dogs. My dog, who has anxiety issues, was completely relaxed each time we went. I noticed the same in many other dogs we encountered there. Care, teaching, and communication are all top drawer! I couldn't have asked for more.

Three weeks ago, we lost a member of our family - our 9 year old golden retriever Emma. She was like a child to us, and her absence will leave a void in our hearts forever. Dr. Sheri Gould had the unfortunate job of having to make a diagnosis of terminal cancer on our Emma. From that moment forward she and her staff treated all of us with the utmost respect, compassion, and empathy. We had almost a month after diagnosis to share with our beloved Emma. Dr. Gould provided us with all of the information that we required, and her professionalism and level of knowledge were phenomenal. Emma took her last breath in the comfort of her own home, with the two people who loved her the most. The process was dignified, and peaceful. Heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Gould and Tara for making such a horrible time in our lives just a little bit easier. We will refer our friends and family to this clinic for sure!

Dr. McQuade and the Best Friends' team have been caring for my 2 dogs for 6 years. They are knowledgeable, thorough and clearly love animals. Cinda and Tanyss have a caring approach with both dogs and people. Dr. McQuade, when faced with options in a treatment, will consider, 'what would I do if it was my dog' and advises appropriately. I trust her completely and just hope she never retires!

Part 1 of 2 - I originally started going to Best Friends, because my daughter works at Petland and recommended them, one time when I was having difficulties with my 13 year old baby boy. The vet that I was using wasn't able to get me in for at least 2 weeks and my Snoopy was in visible pain! I called Best Friends and I was able to get in immediately - that day! I knew that he had calcified discs in his back and it was only a matter of time till I had to make a choice that I wasn't ready for... both the staff and Nancy were very understanding and listened to what I had to say. I also knew that he had really bad teeth and when Nancy mentioned it - she understood that I knew that the end wasn't far off and that surgery on a 13 year old that was going downhill fast wasn't realistic and didn't mention it again..... Both her and Sherri were compassionate and helped me through a very difficult time and their understanding was beyond words.

I took my 17 year old cat to Best Friend's on a recommendation from a friend and I am glad that I did. I found out that my cat Shena has kidney disease and teeth issues. She has been successfully treated for the kidney disease and has had oral surgery to remove some teeth affected by Feline Oral Resorptive Lesions. Every time I took Shena in for a treatment or a check up, either the technician or Dr. McQuade took the time to explain to me what was to happen or what was about to happen to my cat. The care that Shena received from Dr. Nancy McQuade has been outstanding and I would recommend her, wholeheartedly. She personally followed up on Shena's surgery with a phone call to see how she was doing. Dr. McQuade and her staff are amazing in their knowledge and compassionate care. I did a lot of research looking for a doctor for my cat and found that the prices for their services and products are reasonable.

my greyhound was very badly torn on his side on Saturday at noon. It was a horrible mess and most vets arent open. I was able to get an appt at best Friends but I had to get him there B/4 3PM (closing time) I took a taxi and got there at about 2:30. At 4:30 after he'd been stitched up' it was obvious that he was very slow to wake up, he couldnt even hold up his head I began to worry about how I could get my 80 lb boy into a cab. The vet staff offered to drive us home and carried my boy in and placed him on his favorite couch. I was very impressed by the caring and competent care my boy received.

Had my Cat, Daisy, in for cancer surgery. All the staff were very friendly and compassionate. Dr. Sheri Gould was very sympathetic and compassionate about my relationship with my cat. Testing and results were very quick. Surgery was also immediately booked. Post surgical care that included home telephone follow ups and hospital visits was wonderful and follow up care was included in the price of the initial surgery. I was not familiar with the pricing therefore I can't comment on how expensive or reasonable it was. I just know My Daisy needed help and she received it very well. Dr. Gould was very honest about future prognosis and was very empathetic to my concerns and feelings for Daisy after hearing that the cancer has a strong possibility to re-occur. Her compassionate care, I'm sure, helped Daisy in her healing. Thank you to all the caring staff at Best Friends Animal Hospital. Hoping that Daisy does not need to come back except to say thank you.

I have been bringing my pets to Best Friends for a couple years now. Every one that I have encountered is very kind and will take the time to answer my questions and throughly explain everything to me. 2 of my pets have had surgery there and I know that when I bring them there, that they are in excellent care and I leave knowing that the staff will take care of them as if they were one of their own. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who loves there pets as much as I do.

Very, Very Expensive here.. I was stuck in a tiny tiny room with two dogs panting for over an hour, and I felt very uncomfortable the whole time. Didn't like that they forced me to have blood work done on my dogs, and made me feel like I wasn't taking care of them properly. Very condescending attitude. Won"t bring them back there. Need to find a new vet

My pets have been seeing Dr. McQuade at Best Friends Animal Hospital for over 2 years. I was originally going to another vet with my other pets for many years but had purchased a puppy through Petland and had her spayed at Best Friends. I was so impressed with the friendly and VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE staff and the care they showed my girl when she was in for her spay that I had all my files transferred over to them...and I have never regretted it!

Our 10 month old Ragdoll was completely litter trained until recently his hormones started raging. He began spraying all over the house. We were desperate to get him neutered to correct this problem. We called many vets in the area. The receptionist at many of them were rude and disinterested. Most places could not schedule a neuter for at least 2-3 more weeks. Best Friends were friendly and accommodating. We brought our Ragdoll down the next day, they offered to keep him overnight and neuter him in the morning. Much to our surprise and relief. They provided us a tour of the facility, which was very clean, especially the surgical area. All of the staff were friendly, happy and knowledgeable. They called us the following morning to let us know the surgery went well. There were no complications. We have had him home again now for over a month, no more spraying or any other problems. He healed well and the 3 days of pain meds were sufficient. Quality service and inexpensive.

We took our dog to Best Friends Animal Hospital for many years and Dr. McQuade and her staff are always friendly and caring. We rarely have to wait for our appointments and even though our dog wasn't always very easy to deal with, everyone was great. When we found out our dog had terminal heart disease, Dr. McQuade and her tech came to our house, stayed with us and gave us as much time as we needed. Then they took care of all the arrangements for us. I would recommend Best Friends to anyone.

I called Best Friends after someone stepped on my puppy. They were completely booked and offered to sqeeze me in to have my puppy examined. A short while later I phoned was very worried about my puppy. They told me to come right away. Dr. McQuade examined my puppy, reassured me he would be fine and did not charge me for the visit. I am so glad I went to Best Friends. They are the best!

Had a truly horrible experience with the vet here. Dr. Nancy McQuade. She is the owner too and was very rude to me and not too nice to my dog. I did not choose her Wellness Program and I think that is what made her very upset with me. The price she quoted me for a specific procedure for my dog was very high and when i got a second opinion with Catrysse Clinic it was $700 cheaper. So beware!! I felt that she was really only after the money and had nothing nice to say to my dog when she entered the room. i was quite shocked. She berated me infront of her staff and my children because I didn't feed him the super expensive dog food. What a horrible experience and my kids felt really bad for our dog when they heard him screaming cause she tugged his ear way too hard when she was checking it.
